As some of you may not be aware, Mike has single handedly worked on his website since May 1999. He has endeavoured to keep up with the day to day running of the site (and all that it entails), plus difficulties in his own personal life which have on occasion taken priority. I have been in regular contact with Mike for a number of years now and I have discussed and advised him on several levels in relation to the articles on his website. His approach to such matters is always comprehensive and open, listening to my thoughts and ideas, including on his site those that he believes to be relevant. He has welcomed my suggestions and considered countless others, not only mine, but those helpful e-mails he has received from you and the people who enjoy visiting this site.
There are however some e-mails which are not so constructive to Mike, they like any other mail take time to read and reply, which is why his response time is not always as quick as he would like and one of the reasons why he has asked me to become part of his reading staff. These offending e-mails will now be dealt with by me.
As with Mike, all e-mails will be treated with the same respect and regard.
I will also be helping Mike with some of the questions he gets asked in many aspects of prediction and future events as much as I can.

FOUR HORSEMEN, FOUR BEASTS, THREE ANTICHRISTS

I will attempt to decipher partly the prophecy of Nostradamus concerning the 3 antichrists. When reading Nostradamus' body of work not in Isolation but in conjunction with biblical prophecy a lot of it makes sense and is surprisingly coherent and in step with other prophets such as Daniel. Biblically there is only one figure in human history that has been and is dreaded throughout and Nostradamus refers to such a figure in his epistle, but he also ascribes the title 'antichrist' to particular evil figures that he particularly highlights as forerunners to the real figure. Nostradamus rarely mentions the word antichrist in his work, to be exact only twice in the centuries and about five times in the epistle. However many specific quatrains seem to talk directly about these horrific figures.
I personally look at the antichrists as 3 with one figure coming before all 3 making up 4 personalities, exactly matching and mirroring the 4 empires out of the river seen by Daniel and 4 horsemen of the apocalypse in Revelation. There are very convincing interpretations as I will point out that make me believe that not only are there sizeable time intervals between the figures but that in any case it is absolutely certain that the third and last antichrist is the one of the book of revelation.
Depending on how one looks at the wording of quatrain 8.77, if one reads ‘Antichrist three very soon annihilated’ it could be read as antichrist (the) third soon annihilated ….because it talks of his war lasting 27 years, meaning a single individual and since the final antichrist is destroyed by God then he must be the last, more importantly however and an interpretation that makes even more biblical sense is that in Daniel 7.8 a horn comes out uprooting 3, in Daniel 8.9 a horn grows in three directions subduing 3 domains and in Zachariah 11:6 God speaks of destroying 3 leaders in one month. So this could in fact be the quatrain summing up the destruction of 3 leaders during the time of the real beast (of the Book of Revelation) sojourn on earth.
Another very important factor is that while there are 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and 4 empires seen by Daniel only the latter three each represent one of the triad of antichrists. Reason is that the final beast of revelation fulfills and completes the prophecy of the second advent. He profanes the temple and attempts to impose himself as god. The first two also have a central role in punctuating important biblical prophecy. In my view the first comes to herald the birth of Israel, the second comes to herald the building of the 3rd temple in Jerusalem and the final one the return of Jesus.
For many historicists who attempt to say that the book of Revelation was symbolically written about the emperor Nero and the book of Daniel was written about Antiochus Epiphanes, it is a complete misreading of both books as Daniel was looking millennia into the future and as I will explain Nostradamus prophecy especially in his epistle begins many centuries after his death, for the most part in the 20th century so there is much prophecy to be fulfilled yet.
Now I take the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse to mirror the 4 empires of Daniel with each horse and empire standing for one time period also being supported by a prominent figure from Nostradamus’ visions. Many people say where do we begin from? Well as I said most of the prophecy of Daniel has nothing to do with Babylon,Medo-Perisan,Alexander’s or even Roman empires, he saw far far ahead into the future.Most of the prophecy of Daniel and that of Revelation fit like hand in glove and begin after Nostradamus’ own century.
Nostradamus’ epistle for the most part is narrated chronologically except for a few jumps in a timeline that may precede an aforementioned event.What is important is to identify an event that mirrors a particular horseman, and a particular empire in Daniel.
Basically Nostradamus mentions such an event in his epistle when he says:
‘But not everywhere. It will mark the commencement of what will long endure. For beginning with this year the Christian Church will be persecuted more fiercely than it ever was in Africa, and this will last up to the year 1792, which they will believe to mark a renewal of time.’
Indeed this was one of the most important periods in human history. It began the renewal of the political outlook of the world because it followed the French and American revolutions. Here monarchy was replaced by democratic and republican government something that is exactly mentioned by Daniel’s first empire the Lion with wings who loses the wings and turns into a man. This is a spot on prophecy depicting the loss of popularity of monarchism (lion usually a symbol of royalty) through a political revolution that would change the world forever. Since then many governments have fallen to this ‘white rider’ with subsequent revolutions in the 19th century. However the most powerful beneficiary of this convulsive environment was one leader and this was Napoleon.
Now
one could say the revolution white in colour was the horse and he
was the rider, but not an antichrist because his era had nothing
significant to do with Israel as a lynchpin of bible prophecy.
Certainly
c 1.60 specifically mentions Napoleon but not as an Antichrist
merely a brutal conqueror.
Thereafter Nostradamus for the first time in his epistle mentions the word ‘Antichrist’ in a very very in fact frighteningly accurate prophecy that mirrors the 2nd horseman and the 2nd empire of Daniel. Nostradamus says:
'Then the great Empire of the Antichrist will begin where once was Attila's empire and the new Xerxes will descend with great and countless numbers, so that the coming of the Holy Ghost, proceeding from the 48th degree, will make a transmigration, chasing out the abomination of the Christian Church, and whose reign will be for a time and to the end of time. This will be preceded by a solar eclipse more dark and gloomy than any since the creation of the world, except that after the death and passion of Jesus Christ. And it will be in the month of October than the great translation will be made and it will be such that one will think the gravity of the earth has lost its natural movement and that it is to be plunged into the abyss of perpetual darkness. In the spring there will be omens, and thereafter extreme changes, reversals of realms and mighty earthquakes. These will be accompanied by the procreation of the new Babylon, miserable daughter enlarged by the abomination of the first holocaust. It will last for only seventy-three years and seven months.'
This is a very accurate prophecy of another new and convulsive period and all fingers point at the Russian revolution.
In fact this particular prophecy talks of an empire coming into being in the month of October a birth of a New Babylon enlarged by the First holocaust (world war one) which would last 73 years and 7 months. Now the coincidences are not only astounding but the fact that Attila was a Hun an ancient people from Central Asia where again coincidentally Lenin’s Tatar ancestry has its roots. The USSR was born during WW1 in October And lasted to within a month of the 73 and a half years!! What is more even if we are to assume this prophecy is not speaking of the USSR it still applies to China because it too is communist..the colour of the 2nd Red horse, it too was born on October 1st 1949 again after the 2nd world war (witness to a true Holocaust) and in fact the 2nd world war is better represented by the world holocaust because it is a war of great civilian death, material destruction and use of atomic weapons for the first time. If as Jesus and Nostradamus warned a war of this magnitude was only the first of many then it definitely could be the 1st holocaust. This does not mean Lenin or Mao Tse Tung were the antichrist but it does say the empire took shape and would be punctuated by a figure who would be the first antichrist.
What is more this very same period does not specifically speak of Communist leaders but it does cover several tyrants over the 73 years many of whom were Totalitarian. Daniel is also reflective of this period, in harmony with the horsemen of Revelation and Nostradamus, he called the 2nd empire a bear (a symbol of totalitarian rule) with three ribs between its teeth. Many may wonder what these 3 ribs mean and I realized they mean the 3 world wars, the 1st saw the birth of USSR, the 2nd saw the birth of Communist china and the 3rd will lead to the replacement of this empire with the 3rd empire of the four headed leopard.
It is also no doubt that the second horseman is red and is told to take peace from the earth, ever since the 1st world war there has been an increase in number of wars on earth and not the decrease. All that said who best epitomizes the figure of the Antichrist in the 20th century as the rider of this red horse? In one word Hitler. This man best mirrors a figure who had a pivotal role in the establishment of the state of Israel and that is why he is the first.
Because of the final solution there was a lot of guilt on the part of the gentile world and in an effort to absolve itself and prevent future tragedies the world accepted the formation of a Jewish state (something that was began by the Balfour declaration in 1917 coincidentally the same year of the Russian revolution)
While Hitler is mentioned in some particular quatrains like 2. 24, 3. 35 and 5.29 the most important mention of him in the context of him being the first antichrist is in the epistle where Nostradamus says:
'During this astrological supputation, harmonized with the Holy Scriptures, the persecution of the Ecclesiastical folk will have its origin in the power of the Kings of "Aquilon" [the North], united with the Easterners. This persecution will last for eleven years, or somewhat less, for then the chief King of "Aquilon" will fall.'
This paragraph seems to be an interjection after Nostradamus has already talked about the 2nd antichrist but as one reads this paragraph it talks of the persecution of the Ecclesiastical folk which could be taken to mean the church or the Jewish people (who are taken to be the ‘holy people’). No leader before Hitler so vehemently desired the annihilation of the Jews. Aquilon in Nostradamus’ writings means the north and particularly Northern Europe. It is undoubtedly true that Hitler was the lord of Europe for about 2/3 years of WW2 and he was united with the Easterners ... this is speaking of imperial Japan who joined the Axis powers through the tripartite agreement. The persecution did last for a little over 11 years if one counts from 1933-1944 after which Hitler fell. So this is the prophecy that talks of Hitler directly.
The last clue is in c 10.75

Long awaited he will never return
In Europe, he will appear in Asia:
One of the league issued from the great Hermes,
And he will grow over all the Kings of the East.
This is a very interesting quatrain it first of all mentions someone long awaited … who is this long awaited?? It is definitely no ordinary king or leader. Only 3 figures in the history of mankind are long awaited two of them are the messianic figures Jesus (for Christians) and Mahdi (for Muslims) and the third is the evil figure the Antcihrist. Now Nostradamus seems to be talking of a figure already received once in Europe but now not from Europe this logically means he is speaking of an antichrist figure. The first being from Europe (Hitler) and the second from Asia or the kings of the East.
I believe this rider will rise during WW3 the last bone of the 3 bones in the bear empire’s mouth that is told to go and eat flesh. This war and leader in the book of revelation is symbolized by the black horseman the 3rd in a series of horsemen. The significance of the color is important because I believe the world upheaval that has a correlation with this rider is one we may be on the verge of which is Islamic jihad. In Islam the colour associated with war is black…before the rise of the Mahdi in Islamic eschatology a huge army with black flags arises from the area of Khorasan (modern day Iran) to conquer most of the world. This is corroborated by the Bible which says in the book of Daniel on two separate occasions about a menace coming from Persia or the East.
Daniel 11:2
“Now then I tell you the truth: Three more kings will appear
in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the
others. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up
everyone against the kingdom of Greece.’"
Daniel 8:2 ….. Daniel speaks of a
vision he had while in Babylon
“In my vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa in the
province of Elam; in the vision I was beside the Ulai canal. I
looked up and there before me was a ram with two horns, standing
beside the canal and the horns were long. One of the horns was
longer than the other but grew up later .I watched the ram as he
charged towards the west, the north and the south. No animal
could stand against him, and none could rescue from his power. He
did as he pleased and became great.”
Now it
is not only interesting to note that the Ram is a symbol of a
dual alliance but also his path of attack, it directs north (which
is probably Central Asia), west (towards Europe) and South (most
likely Middle East or North Africa). Another peculiar but very
close fitting prophecy is of an invasion of Europe from the
east by many European prophets (including Nostradamus) some of
their prophecies are very detailed they include prophecies by
Alois Irlmaier, Adam Wuerzburg, Joseph Stockert, Eilert Jasper,
Johan von Erenberg, monk of Werl, Erna Stieglitz ... In
particular Alois Irlmaier mentions a black army (possibly
uniformed that way) invading from the east. Nostradamus in a few
quatrains mentions a conflict in Europe against a black army or
an army from a dark nation for example centuries 2.93,4.3 and 4.4
(this one actually says rape and pillage on the sides of the
combatants being the French and the Africans) and 8.34. Again in
c.4.68 there is mention of an alliance of two kings specifically
two great ones one of Africa and one of Asia who attack Europe. A
common thread in all these prophecies is that an eastern kingdom
is an aggressor for example the following prophecy
"Where
the rivers Rhine and Mosela meet, a very bloody battle will be
joined against the Turks (Muslims) and Russians, so that the
Rhine will blush for 25 leagues".
As I
have pointed out I believe Russia will somehow be stirred against
the west by this Persian leader, this could be an economic
alliance. However it is an uneasy alliance as they are not of
equal length probably saying that is a ‘marriage’ of
convenience. In fact Nostrdamus when he talks of the 2nd
antichrist instead mentions 3 leaders forming one common enemy.
In other words the 2nd antichrist will have 2 sidekicks.
Nostradamus says
'It
will be at this time and in these countries that the infernal
power will set the power of its adversaries against the Church of
Jesus Christ. This will constitute of the second Antichrist, who
will persecute that Church and its true Vicar, by means of the
power of three temporal kings who in their ignorance will be
seduced by tongues which, in the hands of the madmen, will cut
more than any sword.'
Many people think that this excerpt from the epistle is speaking of Adolf Hitler (Germany), Benito Mussolini (Italy) and Hideki Tojo (Japan) but as we have already seen Hitler was the 1st antichrist. The second is from Asia and he will have two cohorts. The common viewpoint by many prophets is that some communist element of the alliance still exists at this time because in many prophecies especially by Sister Elena Aiello, Josef Kugelbeer and Anton Johansson the common denominator is Russia’s wrath against the church and the west. Nostradamus himself in c. 5.73 says the same only that instead of Russians he mentions Poles as Arab allies. Also we must bear in mind that the 2nd antichrist while probably a Muslim is not a theocrat unlike the ‘Mahdi’ who follows him. He could in fact be a closet atheist enabling him to join the 2 leaders with a communist past (probably Russia and China). c.1.99 talks of a king joining two other kings at which time there will be great pity for the children of Narbonne, in other words the alliance of these 3 spells trouble for western Europe. The clue of this is also in Nostradamus quatrains where he mentions reds (Communist) first united then falling apart from the 2nd antichrist. They are united in c. 5.22 and this quatrain seems to speak of their rejoicing at the death of a common enemy from the west. Alternatively this could be the quatrain that mentions the death of an enigmatic figure whose assassination (maybe Mabus) leads to the outbreak of war. Again in c 8.19 there is mention of the red ones march in order to clarify a great trouble.
According to Alois Irlamaier the 3rd world war starts when an assassination of a figure occurs in the Balkans. Century 8.19 suggests in the last line that ‘the red, red ones will knock down the red one’ I think this speaks of some red skinned /ruddy (Arab/Indian looking communists) instigating an assassination of a communist. Undiscovered they provoke a war with the west while allying themselves with a communist east. However this alliance does not last the entirety of the conflict as c. 5.23 says ‘two contented ones’ probably allies of the 2nd antichrist will be united in war but the great one of Africa (probably the Arab 2nd antichrist whose sphere extends that far) will be troubled when the two will be defeated by a western sea fleet or invasion. What is more c. 5.78 says two individuals united to the Persian will not be united to him very long, but will instead cause his ruin. This enmity is also mentioned in c.6. 58 which says that between two distant kings great enmity will arise leading to the liberation of the Isles and Sienna. In other words the fallout will enhance the defeat of the 2nd antichrist. The actual quatrain that speaks of the second antichrist’s mobilization of his armies is 3.60 and this 2nd antichrist figure is specifically mentioned as being an invader of western Europe from an area around central Asia or Iran in c.2.29, 5.54, (towards France) 5.55 (towards Spain), 5.68 (towards Germany and central Europe) and 7.6 (towards Italy). It is quite possible that he is the same figure being called the duke of Armenia in c. 5.94. What is more it appears that his invasion is not only land based but even by sea as an interpreted in c.5.27 where the Adriatic sea is covered by Arab blood (people) or in c.6.55 where Arab sails (ships) are seen suddenly.
Now going back to Daniel 8 to continue with the prophecy of that 2nd Antichrist’s defeat … Daniel 8:5-8 says:
‘As I was thinking about this suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between his eyes came from the west crossing the whole earth without touching the ground. He came towards the two horned ram I had seen standing behind the canal and charged at him in great rage. I saw him attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering his two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against him; the goat knocked him to the ground and trampled on him and none could rescue the ram from his power, he did as he pleased and became great, but at the height of his power his large horn was broken off and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the 4 winds of heaven’
So Daniel says that the 2 horned Ram was defeated by a Goat from the west. This is corroborated by Nostradamus in his epistle where he says:
‘The supporting common people will rise up and chase out the adherents of the legislators. From the way realms will have been weakened by the Easterners, it will seem that God the Creator has loosed Satan from the prisons of hell to give birth to the great Dog and Dogam, who will make such an abominable breach in the Churches that neither the reds nor the whites without eyes or hands will know what to make of it, and their power will be taken from them.
Then will commence a persecution of the Churches the like of which was never seen. Meanwhile, such a plague will arise that more than two thirds of the world will be removed. One will be unable to ascertain the true owners of fields and houses, and weeds growing in the streets of cities will rise higher than the knees. For the clergy there will be but utter desolation. The warlords will usurp what is returned from the City of the Sun, from Malta and the Isles of Hyères. The great chain of the port which wakes its name from the marine ox will be opened.
And a new incursion will be made by the maritime shores, wishing to deliver the Sierra Morea from the first Mahometan recapture. Their assaults will not all be in vain, and the place which was once the abode of Abraham will be assaulted by persons who hold the Jovialists in veneration. And this city of "Achem" will be surrounded and assailed on all sides by a most powerful forceof warriors. Their maritime forces will be weakened by the Westerners, and great desolation will fall upon this realm. Its greatest cities will be depopulated and those who enter will fall under the vengeance of the wrath of God.
The sepulcher, for long an object of such great veneration, will remain in the open, exposed to the sight of the heavens, the Sun and the Moon. The holy place will be converted into a stable for a herd large and small, and used for profane purposes. Oh, what a calamitous affliction will pregnant women bear at this time.
For hereupon the principal Eastern chief will be vanquished by the Northerners and Westerners, and most of his people, stirred up, will be put to death, overwhelmed or scattered. His children, offspring of many women, will be imprisoned."
This very detailed excerpt of the epistle mirrors what Daniel said that at first the Ram will be victorious bringing a plague that removes two thirds of the earth. That is the reason why the third horse represents famine. War is always a cause of famine but with the development of nuclear, chemical and biological weaponry now, the war with the 2nd antichrist will lead to a famine so severe to be incomparable to anything before. However Nostradamus goes on to say just like Daniel that the 2nd antichrist will face an invasion from the west by sea….because Daniel says the Goat will come from the west without touching the ground (definitely an aerial and amphibious invasion). In the epistle of Nostradamus the focus and detail is in the fact that an incursion will be made by sea to free Sierra Morrea from Arab capture and the place which was Abraham’s abode (Israel) will be assaulted by people who hold the Jovialists (Jews) in veneration….Now only Christians hold Jews as holy people..Muslims hold them in contempt and specific verses in the Koran call for their destruction. Jovialists is a word used to describe Jews because Nostradamus in his writings sometimes refers to God as Jove, so this invasion is a description of a counter attack by the west.
Not only will the Arab navy be annihilated as an alternative interpretation to c.5.27 but also mentioned is a trireme fleet against the Arabs in c.3.64, an English fleet against the crescent sea city (maybe Achem/Acre??) in c.5.35 and a line in c. 5.25 where an ‘Arab prince the (more likely ‘to’) rule of the Church will succumb by sea'…it also says toward Persia nearly a million men…a clear prophecy of a counter attack on the 2nd antichrist's homeland. c.2.86 talks of a fleet destroyed in the Adriatic that makes Egypt tremble the Islamic increase..in other words people become disillusioned with the destruction triggered by the 2nd antichrist (just as Germany became disillusioned with Hitler in ww2) and it says the herald surrendering himself (the 2nd antichrist is defeated.)
Meanwhile c.5.62 talks of war at Rome and ships sunk to the bottom by Trident (a scepter of the god of the sea 'Neptune' or in the current interpretation maybe a nuclear sub) and in c.6.44 a great fleet is sunk in the Gulf of Arabia. Other quatrains that talk of great devastation by sea or from the sea are c.10.87 and c.10.88 which mentions foot and horse (infantry and cavalry) devastating all by way of the sea.
Italy figures a lot as a great battlefield on land probably where resistance to the goat is the greatest. The fact that there is a battle in Italy is corroborated by other Nostradamus quatrains like c.5.68 which claims the war of the second antichrist will be checked or turned in the Alps near Italy. Italy in other quatrains seems to bear the brunt of the western counter offensive, here the westerners are called the ‘Celts’ in c.2.72 and 4.4 as well as the forces of the Eagle (America) in c.2.37. In quatrains c.2.64,c.2.94 and 2.99 instead of 'Celts’ the conquerors are the Gauls (French) but c.2.99 also diffuses the confusion by calling either Italy or France a Celtic nation which probably means they are united under one leader and are all on the same side. While c.2.94 adds the seaborne invasion of Italy by infinite numbers a sure link with the Daniel prophecy of the 'Goat’. Century 2.39 speaks of an invasion of Italy by Germans, Gauls and Spaniards which is a further clue that this not a WW2 against the 1st antichrist, but a WW3 campaign against the 2nd antichrist being talked about.
Back in the epistle excerpt Nostradamus says that the holy place will be converted into a stable for large herd and small and used for profane purposes … this is the central lynchpin of the 2nd antichrist in our scenario. He is again linked to an invasion of Abraham’s land and profaning of a holy place, the 3rd temple which I believe will be built shortly before the 2nd antichrist arrives on the scene. In the final conclusion the Eastern chief is vanquished by the westerners and northerners.
The fact that this western coalition is simplified by Daniel as one horn is not a problem as Nostradamus too mentions one or two powerful figures from the west. Usually Gaul (France) c.4.37, c7.10, c.5.13, c.5.80 (a figure called Ogmios) and England and America in c.10.66 (specifically mentioning them facing a false antichrist), England (called a lion) and America (called an eagle) again in c.5.99, or an Anglo-Franco alliance like in c.2.69 with a 'Gallic king though his Celtic right arm' (his Celtic ally) who interestingly makes his scepter flourish over the 3 parts .. maybe the three domains of the 3 defeated kings of WW3 or the 3 united in victory as the triumvirate. Some quatrains seem to suggest this king will be a German in c.5.74 or simply a north European leader in c.10.86 and c.10.95. One King in particular is shown to be victorious and he is probably the leader of the coalition. Nostradamus calls him Chiren or Chyren in 2.79 he is said to take back all land captured by the Selin(a reference to the 2nd antichrist) and subjugate his cruel and proud people, in c.4.34 he is shown to capture the 2nd antichrist which gives the inkling that unlike Hitler the 2nd antichrist will be captured alive. The clue that this is after the bitter campaign in Italy is that it says the antichrist loses his war in Milan, probably the very same campaign of c.2.37. Also a probability is that the other two cohorts of the antichrist are executed by this victorious king in c. 5.45.
Another interesting clue is that the 2nd antichrist will be betrayed by the ‘Byzantians’, I think here this stands for Orthodox eastern Europe particularly Russia. The clues are in c. 5.47 and maybe in c. 5.4. Here it talks of a mastiff (a big dog also mentioned as the 2nd antichrist by Nostradamus in his epistle) being vexed (or troubled by his ally) then in the last line says the wolf (a ferocious wild depiction of a canine) and the bear (Russia/Byzantium) will defy each other. Interestingly c.4.38 also suggests that the Byzantine or Russian leader is also captured.
Now all these prophecies speak of the victory by the western goat, but how does this tie in with the prophecy of Daniel’s 3rd beast? As I was stressing the 3rd beast has nothing to do with the broken up empire of Alexander the great but much more to do with the 4 big powers who inherit the kingdom or empire of the great horn. Daniel 8:8 says "the goat became very great but at the height of his power his large horn was broken off and in its place four prominent horns grew up towards the four winds of heaven" while Daniel 11:3-4 says “Then a mighty king will appear who will rule with great power and do as he pleases. After he has appeared, his empire will be broken up and parceled out towards the four winds of heaven.’’
Both these prophecies echo the 4 heads of the leopard with 4 wings that arrive before the empire of the real antichrist. Moreover Daniel 8:9-12 says out of one of these 4 horns (empires) will come the true antichrist. In the epistle Nostradamus says:
‘What great oppression will then fall upon the Princes and Governors of Kingdoms, especially those which will be maritime and Eastern, whose tongues will be intermingled with all others: the tongue of the Latins, and of the Arabs, via the Phoenicians. And all these Eastern Kings will be chased, overthrown and exterminated, but not altogether, by means of the forces of the Kings of the North, and because of the drawing near of our age through the three secretly united in the search for death, treacherously laying traps for one another. This renewed Triumvirate will last for seven years, and the renown of this sect will extend around the world.’…. ‘Then the Lords of "Aquilon" [the North], two in number, will be victorious over the Easterners, and so great a noise and bellicose tumult will they make amongst them that all the East will tremble in terror of these brothers, yet not brothers, of "Aquilon" [the North]."
Nostradamus says a triumvirate will rise up after the defeat of the 2nd antichrist, but it will be united for only 7 years as it will be plagued by mistrust. It is also probable that there are 3 dominant powers who comprise the nations that defeated the 2nd antichrist but of these 2 are pre-eminent my guess from the quatrain is that these two are France and America as mentioned in c.8.46. However America is mentioned as an outsider, that quatrain says France and 3 brothers the total of 4 heads of the leopard … the identity of the other nations is given by Nostradamus in a round and about way when he says...
‘The said reign of the Antichrist will last only to the death of him who was born at the beginning of the age and of the other one of Lyon, associated with the elected one of the House of Modena and of Ferrara, maintained by the Adriatic Ligurians and the proximity of great Sicily. Then the Great St. Bernard will be passed.’
Again many people mistake this part of the epistle as referring to Hitler, Pierre Laval and Mussolini but most likely they refer to personalities after the defeat of the 2nd antichrist … a French king (descendant of Chyren probably Ogmios of c.6.42), an Italian king who is associated with the French king (perhaps the Belgian Roman of c. 5.13) and a Ligurian this could be the German of Trojan/Turkish blood c. 5.74 or the Macedonian of c.10.7. It is worth noticing that even though the 4 heads are individual and separate they are on one body much like many European Union countries are part of the EU. An example is in c.4. 5 which speaks of Spain and Gaul united as one. Also c.1.93 seems to suggest that England (Lion) and France (cock) are united in a pact of war against an enemy. A similar prophecy by Mother Shipton says England and France shall be one before the coming of the final antichrist she says:
Three times shall lovely sunny France
Be led to play a bloody dance
Before the people shall be free
Three tyrant rulers shall she see.
Three rulers in succession be
Each springs from different dynasty.
Then when the fiercest strife is done
England and France shall be as one.
So
only after the four headed empire of the 3rd beast of Daniel does
the antichrist empire of the 4th horseman of death and hell come.
The 4th horseman depicts death and hell in its totality also
immediately after him the fifth seal speaks of the great
persecution of Christians and the celestial signs the precede the
coming of Jesus.
Daniel says exactly the same in Daniel 8:9-12
‘Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south, and to the east and to the Beautiful land (Israel).It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them.It set itself up to be as great as the prince of the host;it took away the daily sacrifice from him and the place of the sanctuary was brought low. Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did and truth was thrown to the ground’
However before proceeding further one has to admit that though so far the deciphering of the 1st three horsemen has been relatively simple the third and final antichrist is anything but simple. It is not enough to link him simply to the 4th horseman of Revelation or the 4th empire of Daniel. The character of the antichrist is quite complex for any bible scholar but there are some common threads in revelation and in Daniel that seems to make sense of this mystery with Nostradamus quatrains that seem to agree …The definite description of the antichrist is Revelation 13:1-4
‘And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads with 10 crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion.The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed .The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast and they also worshiped the beast and asked ‘who is like the beast ,who can make war against him?’
Shortly before this dragon is also described in Rev 12:3
‘Then another sign appeared in heaven an enormous red dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns and seven crowns on his heads’
Again further detail in Rev 17:9-14 says:
‘This calls for wisdom. The seven heads are 7 hills on which the woman sits. They are also 7 kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, but when he does come, he must remain a little while. The beast who once was and now is not is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction. The ten horns you saw are 10 kings who have not yet received a kingdom but who for one hour will receive authority as kings with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast’
The first problem is whether the 7 kings of the antichrist are his contemporaries or come before him. I think a dual interpretation is the best of all .First of all the dragon has 7 crowns on his 7 heads and 10 horns. The clue in Rev 17 is that the 7 heads are kings of which five have fallen and one is with one more yet to come.Since the dragon comes before the beast and seems to give his power to the beast it is more logical to assume that the dragon is a summation of empires that come before the antichrist(thus the 10 horns are uncrowned and no one knows which heads they are on) while the beast is the final figure or the 3rd antichrist with his 10 horns crowned for they willingly give their service to him.
So let
us deal with the Dragon first…many assume that it speaks for
Ancient Egypt, Assyrian empire, Babylonian empire, Medo-persian
empire, Hellenic(Alex the great’s) empire, the five that
fell..the Roman empire which was existing at the time of the
writing of Revelation and one last future empire to come…the
empire of the Antichrist. I disagree with this very retrospective
look at the prophecy as we have already proved with Daniel’s
prophecy of the 4 empires.
This prophecy is very accurate but start much later as I will try
to explain in a diagram below

NB: It is IMPORTANT to put the remaining 4 horns …..Horn 7, horn 8, horn 9 and horn 10 on the last and 7th head! So that when the focus shifts on the last head it stays in sync with what happens in Daniel 7:8 where we see that three of the crowned horns are broken and give way to the little boastful horn. This is also the same small fifth horn growing out of one of the four in Daniel 8:9-12. Alternatively using c.2.18 we can deduce that 10 horns are on the 7th head but 3 remain functioning threats for the antichrist as I will attempt to explain later.
This attempt to decipher the horns and heads is very crucial in the fact that it is substantiated by Rev 17 which says the antichrist is the 7th head that once was, became not and again came to be.Offcourse at an individual level we see a description of some fatal injury that the antichrist survives. However if we are looking at the dragon heads as kings or kingdoms then what could possibly cause the wounding of a kingdom bringing it close to death?? I realized that this is where Daniel 7:7-8 prophecy makes sense because it says:
‘After that in my vision at night I looked and there before me was a fourth beast, terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the other former beasts and it had 10 horns. While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn a little one which came up among them and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully’
So the little horn that breaks the 3 horns grows in place could be the wound on the 7th head that is spoken of in Rev 13 that almost destroys it, but soon makes it the most powerful of all. We must not forget that out of the 4 crowns on head number 7 one remains intact and so that head remains alive but now it has two crowns instead of one the second crown to the 7th is the 8th!! In a way the blip for the antichrist could be interpreted as he was fatally wounded and for a while was incapacitated but came back to life and power .So he was and was not and came to be again...OR we could interpret this as the antichrist and his autonomous image (perhaps clone) ruling as one with the 7 but also an eighth ....while as an empire we could simply read as an empire led by one and ravaged by 3 enemies during his rule that almost destroyed his empire and he somehow had 3 enemies annihilated and their domains brought under himself with the help of another...the false prophet such that the two crowns ruling empire 7 on the beast are the antichrist and his false prophet.
This is what Rev 17:9-14 because 'the beast that once was and now is not is an eight king and he belongs to the 7.'
Definitely this line speaks of all this occurring after the three horns are broken not before, otherwise it would be the 11th. This seems the only logical way of counting the horns otherwise the horns would not be talked of as 10, unless all 10 horns are on the 7th wounded head of the beast (in the c.2.18 scenario of the 10, seven are destroyed leaving 3 which are in turn subdued by the antichrist). Besides this is exactly the scenario depicted on the 4th empire of Daniel in Daniel 7:8 and the beast of Revelation 13.
Supposing we take the Ram with its two horns as being Horn 1 and Horn 2, then the Goat from the west with one horn that destroys the Ram means this becomes horn 3, then the goats horn breaks and in it’s place 4 horns grow becoming horn 4, horn 5, horn 6 and horn 7…again we see 7 horns!!
Not only that but the little horn in Daniel 8:9-12 growing out of one of the four becomes horn number 8. The fact that it grows in 3 directions means it subdues its own base (7) and then grows out to subdue horn 6 and 5, again mirroring the prophecy of Daniel 7:8 and Nostradamus’ c.8.77 and c.2.88 which seems to be a quatrain marrying all what I have said into one it says:

Sheep, Paris, Aix will not guarantee.
The interpretation is that the circuit of the great ruinous one is that the 7th crown is the same name of the fifth horn of Daniel 8:9-12.In other words the horn of Daniel 8:9 is the same horn of Daniel 7:8 on the head that was wounded and whose wound was healed. Also it mentions ' of a third greater the stranger warlike' which seems to speak of this individual being a third in a series of warlike strangers or 3 antichrists.
We are also clued in on about the final and third antichrist is in Daniel 8:20-25
‘The two horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia. The shaggy goat is the King of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king. The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power. In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a stern faced king a master of intrigue will arise. He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people. He will cause deceit to prosper and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed but not by human power’
This is a description of the 3rd antichrist who is said to come from one of the 4 kingdoms of the 3rd empire of the Leopard…it could take a while for this to happen as Nostradamus’ epistle suggests to show that wars between the Aquiloners and the king of the South keep going on, he says:
‘Thereupon the same thing will occur in the South, where for the space of three years the Church people will be persecuted even more fiercely through the Apostatic seduction of one who will hold all the absolute power in the Church militant. The holy people of God, the observer of his law, will be persecuted fiercely and such will be their affliction that the blood of thetrue Ecclesiastics will flow everywhere.
One of the horrible temporal Kings will be told by his adherents, as the ultimate in praise, that he has shed more of human blood of Innocent Ecclesiastics than anyone else could have spilled of wine. This King will commit incredible crimes against the Church. Human blood will flow in the public streets and temples, like water after an impetuous rain, coloring the nearby rivers red with blood. The ocean itself will be reddened by another naval battle, such that one king will say to another, Naval battles have caused the sea to blush.
Then, in this same year, and in those following, there will ensue the most horrible pestilence, made more stupendous by the famine which will have preceded it. Such great tribulations will never have occurred since the first foundation of the Christian Church. It will cover all Latin regions, and will leave traces in some countries of the Spanish.
Thereupon the third King of "Aquilon" [the North], hearing the lament of the people of his principal title, will raise a very mighty army and, defying the tradition of his predecessors, will put almost everything back in its proper place, and the great Vicar of the hood will be put back in his former state. But desolated, and then abandoned by all, he will turn to find the Holy of Holies destroyed by paganism, and the old and new Testaments thrown out and burned.
After that Antichrist will be the infernal prince again, for the last time. All the Kingdoms of Christianity will tremble, even those of the infidels, for the space of twenty-five years. Wars and battles will be more grievous and towns, cities, castles and all other edifices will be burned, desolated and destroyed, with great effusion of vestal blood, violations of married woman and widows, and sucking children dashed and broken against the walls of towns. By means of Satan, Prince Infernal, so may evils will be committed that nearly all the world will find itself undone and desolated. Before these events, some rare birds will cry in the air: Hui, Hui [Today, today] and some time later will vanish.’’
This part of the epistle says that there will be wars between the north and the south kings just as the bible mentions in the wars of Daniel 11. Now it is very difficult to know whether the king will be a Muslim or Christian. Certainly the antichrist will be Jewish because In Zachariah 8:23 it says ‘In those days ten men (kings) will take firm hold of one Jew by the edge of the robe (a symbol of authority) and say ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you’
This brings us back to the Rev 13 enigma though even if we accept the 10 horns are the antichrist contemporaries as, I will explain all will fall to his rule but not by true free will, but duress of extraordinary circumstances ... Nostradamus in c.2.18
2.18
New, impetuous and sudden rain
Will suddenly halt two armies.
Celestial stone, fires make the sea stony,
The death of seven by land and sea sudden.
Here he says a celestial rain of stone, fire makes the sea stony and stops two armies (probably the ones left of the 3 kings before they are destroyed by the antichrist..it says the death of 7 on sea and land is sudden. The only interpretation is that 7 leaders could be destroyed by God suddenly while he lets 3 get destroyed by the antichrist in one month in Zachariah 11:6. The math of Daniel 7:8 is that 7 out of 10 coming against Israel to destroy it, are annihilated by fire and brimstone sent by God...which in turn seems very similar to when the false prophet calls fire from the sky in Rev 13:13 and as already said in Zachariah 11:6 God annihilates 3 kings in one month, the antichrist probably takes the credit for that.
A very convincing verse is in the bible in Zacheriah 13:8-9 which says
'Declares the Lord, two thirds will be struck down and perish, yet one third will be left in it. This third I will bring into the fire. I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them. I will say’ they are my people and they will say 'the lord is our God'
Now this if taken as a fraction of ten would make two thirds about 7 instantly destroyed and the third left (3) to be tested severely by the antichrist with all in the end calling for God to come and help them against this nefarious figure. So c.2.18 could be one of the most vivid quatrains to help in deciphering what really happens in Revelation. Besides it is very easy to explain with this kind of analysis why out of 10 horns in Daniel 7 only 3 are mentioned as falling to the antichrist. The simple fact is the rest are destroyed by god with only 3 left standing at the time the clue is in c.2.92 which says the proud one (the antichrist) will escape the fiery judgment, as also says c.5.100 ... meaning he will be free to attack the other 3 domains that probably survive the celestial judgement. The fact that he can handpick his 10 viceroys later to fill any domain he controls is a simple eventuality.
The clue is that all this happens during the war of Gog-Magog and is a stepping stone for the 3rd and final antichrist. The war of Gog mentions Gog the prince of Meshech and Tubal (present day Dagestan), Prince of Persia, Prince of Gomer, Prince of Cush (Sudan) and Put (Libya) and the prince of Beth Tugarmah (central Asia). A careful counting reveals that these are heads of 7 domains if these 7 are destroyed by God and 3 out of 10 are destroyed by the antichrist. The coalition of Gog in any case is defeated supernaturally by fire from the sky
Ezekiel
38:22 says:
'I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed. I
will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on
him and on his troops and on the many nations with him'
Rev 8:6-11 speaks of a similar event only that the first three trumpet judgments come first and then a war with 4 angels at the Euphrates depopulates the world by a third but the important issue is that all mentioned events precede the coming of the antichrist on the scene as the supreme leader. Celestial fire is also spoken of by Nostradamus (c.1.46, c.2.18, 5.83, 5.100 and 4.100), and Alois irlmaier who speaks of 3 days of Darkness, the Koran also speaks of three days of Darkness after which the sun rises in the west a major sign of the arrival of the Mahdi. Other prophets who spoke of rain of fire and darkness for 3 days are Padre Pio,Anna Maria Tiagi and Marie-Julie Jahenny. All this points to a destruction of a greater part of the 10 leaders by God leaving their empires and those of the 3 at the mercy of the infernal usurper.
All this still encompasses the prophecy of Revelation 13 with 10 horns on the final 7th head with the 8th king becoming the victor soon after.In Ezekiel 39:9
’Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up…For 7 years they will use them for fuel’
The period of 7 years is a veiled hint of quelling any insurrection or uprising by burning of weapons, a 7 year peace period of a covenant signed for Daniel’s final ‘week’ in Daniel 9;27 broken in the middle of the week…that will only be ‘peaceful’ in as far as the Antichrist is stamping out all opposition to his rule and oppressing the survivors. Also the coalition of the people around the middle east seems very similar to the mention of the 4 angels released at the Euphrates in Rev 9:13-19 in fact if the 4 angels are taken as 4 kings (in a war of the 6th trumpet that kills one third of the earth) and 'Abaddon' the angel of Rev 9:2-11 as a king also, then the explanation of Rev 17 of the five kings fallen before the arrival of the 3rd king of Aquilon(the 6th crown) and then the arrival of the 3rd and final antichrist(7th crown) makes sense.
In Islamic eschatology before the arrival of the Mahdi the world will be conquered by a false messiah with one eye ... a figure the Muslims call ‘Dajjal’. This figure will be slain by Isa (the Islamic version of Jesus and then Jerusalem shall be conquered by the Arab Mahdi. Interestingly a prophecy of a one eyed figure who is also ruthless is mentioned in the bible in Zachariah 11:16-17
‘ For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not take care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hoofs. Woe to this worthless shepherd who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye. May his arm be completely withered, his right eye totally blinded’
The wording of this verse seems to say that this one eyed figure is a foreign invader. Also just before this figure arrives on the scene we are made to recall how the 3rd antichrist will cause astounding devastation but not by his own power because again amazingly Daniel 7:8 the horn uprooting 3 horns is echoed in Zachariah 11:6 where God said:
"For I will no longer have pity on the people of the land. I will hand everyone over to his neighbour and his king. They will oppress the land and I will not rescue them from their hands. So I pastured a flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed flock. Then I took two staffs and called one favour and the other union and I pastured the flock. In one month I got rid of the 3 shepherds”.
So we have a scenario where most likely the king of the North is Christian and probably according to Nostradamus is a European according to c.3.55 a king reigning in France. In c.3.41 the one eyed leader is seen to be working in tandem with a benevolent king, in c.6.42 here the one eyed is being called the prudent 'deformed one', although called equally a hideous monster in 3.41 and a halfman in 8.44.He may also be the 'plus Ultra' behind (meaning behind the scenes of the incumbent king) loved, feared and dreaded in c.6.70.
If the one eyed figure is the 3rd king of Aquilon hated by the Mahdi (king of the South) then he probably loses one of his eyes in a battle with the king of the south. His fall is probably in quatrain 2.92 where it says empire once again transferred to the dusky nation (black a colour of war in Islam), his eye plucked out by the ‘Goshawk at Narbonne’ the same one dreaded as the Narbonne enemy who faces off the ‘blind one of Arbon’ in c.6.56.
This particular episode of intrigue may speak of the 3rd king of a Aquilon who just before his death conquers much of the southern empire and even the holy land. He may be the one who forces a truce and peace agreement that is not honoured because of his untimely death. He is mentioned in the bible in Daniel 11:14-19 ..
‘ In those times many will rise against the king of the south….then the king of the North will come …the forces of the south will be powerless to resist ,even their best troops will not have the strength to stand against him. He will establish himself in the beautiful land and will have the power to destroy it. He will determine to come with the might of the entire kingdom and will make an alliance with the king of the south’..... ‘after this he will turn his attention to the coastlands and will take many of them, but a commander will put an end to his insolence and will turn his insolence back on him, after this he will turn back towards the fortress of his country but will stumble and fall, to be seen no more’.
However it is most likely that this one eyed man is the same who betrays his king in the above verses he could be the commander spoken of in c.3.41 as a traitor. Also someone succeeding a monarch who is evil and cruel is spoken in c.6.57. While c.8.41 is definitely talking about the antichrist who will come by deceit and intrigue but will become extremely powerful.
If that is true then what follows seems to suggest that the one eyed figure is in fact the 3rd antichrist following the 3rd king of Aquilon because Daniel 11:21-24 says:
‘He (the 3rd king of Aquilon) will be succeeded by a contemptible person (the real antichrist) who was not given the honor of royalty .. he will invade the kingdom .. and seize it by intrigue, he will act deceitfully ,and with only a few people he will rise to power. Then an overwhelming army will be will be swept away before him .. When the richest provinces feel secure, he will invade them and will do what neither his fathers nor his forefathers did. He will distribute plunder loot and wealth among his followers .. he will plot the overthrow of fortresses’
While all this is going on what about the mysterious Mahdi?? Certainly in Islamic eschatology he seems the perfect fit for the antichrist because according to the hadith he has power over the weather, wages war on all and conquers Jerusalem, he signs a peace agreement with a Jew for about 7 years and he has a prophet (who Muslims claim is the uncrucified Jesus) for a spokesperson who makes all pledge allegiance to him (sounds a lot like the false prophet). He is definitely the figure of c.1.76, c.2.30 and c.3.59 (this is a very rich quatrain speaking of a barbarian empire usurped by the 3rd, this 3rd may mean the 3rd and final antichrist, but more specifically it speaks of 3 persons who subdue the Islamic (Barbarian) empire, the 1st is the Great Goat or Chyren of c.2.79 and c.6.70, the second is the 3rd king of Aquilon who I think is Ogmios of c.5.80 and Daniel 11:14-19. So here is a third figure finally subduing the Islamic empire. This is most likely the individual called the hungry mule in c.2.60 the 3rd and final antichrist. The fact that he will put a great part of his own people to death, applies to the antichrist even if he is not the Mahdi … because in any case the Antichrist as I discuss below is part Celtic/Gallic and part Semite. While this quatrain also applies to the Mahdi because if he is the leader of the Gog and Magog coalition of Ezekiel 38 (WW4) he will still lead to a great destruction of his own people. The fourth struck by him seems to call Gog of Magog conflict WW4 as I have always thought .. if the fourth means one of the 4 heads of the 3rd empire or one of the four horns in Daniel 8:9 a quarter of the world at the time then it still means the Mahdi could well be the 3rd antichrist.
Meanwhile c.2.93 says in Avignon France a chief of a whole empire (if we keep in mind the 3rd antichrist a foreigner on French soil as mother Shipton said) will make a stop at desolated Paris .. tri cast hold the anger of Hannibal (of 2.30) meaning 3 again face the wrath of Hannibal eerily similar to Daniel 7:8
Of course it is possible for the Mahdi to be the antichrist if as c.3.59 suggests he calls his Muslim brothers against Israel only to have them annihilated as said in Rev 16:13 when
‘Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are the spirits of demons performing miraculous signs and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for battle of the great God almighty’
Though I personally think the Mahdi is the king of the south. For this to make sense though the 3rd antichrist is connected to the Semites by blood. The antichrist must be some sort of an Arab-Jew who turns against the Arabs in particular. Troy in ancient times was Asia minor (modern day Turkey) and in Daniel the king of the north may well be a Turk, there is a clue in c.5.74 of someone of Trojan blood being born in Germany who drives out foreign Arabs and return the Church to its pristine pre-eminence. This must seem a very clever ploy by a Pseudo-messiah if he were indeed the antichrist. This argument for this king being the figure from the north is strengthened by a quatrain eerily similar to c.8.77 which is c.2.60 it says:

Fleet sprinkles, blood and bodies will swim.
Now the Punic wars were between the Romans (northerners) and Carthagians (Southerners) and the former called the latter 'Poeni'. This is exactly what Daniel speaks about throughout chapter 11. Since the Punic faith is Islam and it is broken (not only in this quatrain but in the epistle) then this rules out the Mahdi as being the antichrist, but he must be the leader of one of the 3 surviving kingdoms or one who unites 3 kingdoms against the true antichrist, which kingdoms the spawn of Satan duly annihilates. The strength of the final antichrist seems to be as immense as that of Alexander the great because his empire stretches from France to India a truly Eurasian emperor. The fact that blood and bodies will swim is a vivid reiteration of c.8.77 which says red hail, blood and bodies covering the earth.
Interestingly a link is made between the French and the Muslims through one who is of Gallic and Punic blood called the great Neptune of the deep sea in c.2.78 further mentioned as an individual with trident soldiers in c.2.59 again talking of a war at Narbonne. This could be reference to the goat of Daniel who comes to beat the 2nd antichrist (Ram) without touching land OR AND ESPECIALLY in the context of the 3rd antichrist. Moreover it is not lost on us that in Rev 13 the beast rises out of the sea. The quatrain seems to mark him out as a traitor of Arab/Jew heritage definitely part Caucasian(Gallic-Celtic), part Semite that brings great destruction upon the Middle east particularly a future Islamic caliphate of Hannibal.
Another similar prophecy that adds detail is in the almanac of 1559 which says
From the house seven through death in mortal
succession,
Hail, tempest, pestilent evil, furies:
King of the East all the West in flight,
He will subjugate his former conquerors.
Here again it seems to speak of the death of 7 and after initial reversals the king of the east will terrify all the west and subjugate all his former conquerors. If this quatrain is correct then the western powers include the former conquerors of the east. The first conqueror is the goat with one horn during the reign of the 2nd antichrist (Chyren) and the second conqueror is the 3rd king of Aquilon (Ogmios) of Daniel 11:14-19 who battles the Mahdi, the 3rd is in fact the 3rd antichrist himself. Either he or the Mahdi fit in as being called a new ‘King of the East’. Which again adds credibility that this figure is the one who follows this 3rdking of Aquilon but he hails from the East(I think here it means the near or middle east hence again a suspicion of this being the Mahdi).
Again a figure called 'the one of Genoa' who is terribly wounded particularly similar to the wounding in Zachariah on the arm does seem to appear in Nostradamus’ quatrains twice, in c.8.45 and again in 5.28 where tantalizingly this figure is wounded, stabbed in the chest and yet lives and in the same quatrain, a mysterious 3 against him shall face the wrath of war and steel. Also a very terrible figure called ‘Raypoz’ in 6.81 described as inhuman with a black, cruel and cold heart and especially c.9.44 he is seen to terrify Genoa before whose coming the sky will show signs. All these quatrains seem to point a finger at the person who fills the profile of the antichrist without mentioning him. According to my reading the 3rd antichrist is Raypoz, the one of Genoa and I believe he will be part Celtic (the fifth Hercules) but also part Semitic (probably Arab .. not necessarily Jewish) because some other quatrains do substantiate this.
First of all before
his coming in c.9.44 the sky shows signs (as a harbinger of doom).
More importantly however the one of Genoa or around Geneva is
said to experience grave wounding. In part similar to Zacheriah
11:16-17 which says the antichrists eye may be blinded and his
hand will be shriveled, maybe this will be natural but I think it
still applies to a double description of his wounded hand.
First in quatrain 8.45

With
his hand in a sling and his leg bandaged,
the younger brother of Calais will reach far.
At the word of the watch, the death will be delayed,
then he will bleed at Easter in the Temple.
This really seems
to be zooming in on the antichrist. If he is the French one eyed
king then that is just a bonus but look at the detail of him
reaching far (beyond France ... consider c.2.60) also his death
is delayed. This seems to speak of the antichrist who is
grievously wounded but does not die but resurrects. What is more
perhaps he resurrects in the temple. This must be the Jewish
temple he bleeds there perhaps mimicking the bleeding of Christ
as an atonement who knows what happens in the detail but all I
know this quatrain seems to be substantiated by another one very
similar c.5.28

His arm hung and leg bound,
Face pale, dagger hidden in his bosom,
Three who will be sworn in the fray
Against the great one of Genoa will the steel be unleashed.
Here also Raypoz who I believe is the great one of Genoa has his arm hung, his leg bound is perhaps wounded by a dagger and survives because the 3 who are sworn (read united) in the fray/fight against this 'Great one of Genoa' will have steel or war unleashed against them. I believe his revenge is summed up in c.6.81 or c.10.27 where he is called the fifth Hercules.
Also c.5.2 seems to mirror a book of revelation conspiracy where 7 conspirators go against the 3 again using fleets (maybe this is speaking of the 2nd antichrist in WW3 but one cannot be sure) .This same very scenario is repeated in c.2.34. While c.10.27 seems to even name 3 people set back by the fifth one (probably the 5th horn of Daniel (8:9-12) that opens the temple (3rd temple) by war. Again here we see a quatrain talking about the antichrist of Revelation.
Of course the scariest and most definitive quatrains on the 3rd and final antichrist are c.8.77, 9.51 and c.10.10:

The antichrist very soon annihilates the three,
twenty-seven years his war will last.
The unbelievers are dead, captive, exiled;
with blood, human bodies, water and red hail covering the earth.

Against the red ones sects will conspire,

The 3rd antichrist's death seems to be explained as a supernatural event from the sky in c.2.56.
All in all, I see only 3 antichrists .Yes the crowns on the beast are 7, I agree and five fall before the 3rd king of Aquilon (6th king) and the final Antichrist (7th King .. the 8th is his image or his false prophet or himself after his miraculous recovery) but only 3 antichrists exist because as I said one heralds the birth of Israel riding the red horse (Hitler), the 2nd one from the Tartary riding the black horse comes during the putting up of the 3rd temple as clued in by the epistle .. I think the black colour speaks of him being the one in c.1.9, c 5.23 being called the great of Africa. So the 2nd antichrist may be an African Arab. My interpretation says that between the 3rd black horseman and the 4th pale horseman the 3rd empire of four leopard heads crystallizes and this empire gives way to the 4th empire of 10 horns which is existent during the pale horse period and during which time the final antichrist, the son of perdition, the beast from hell is born, 7 of the 10 horns are first annihilated by God in the Trumpets as mentioned in c.2.18 during the war of Gog and Magog and the remaining 3 succumb to the true antichrist.
The 3rd and final one represented by death and hell on the pale horse. He is part Gallic/Celtic part Semite; in my view the infamous Raypoz and poses as God and profanes the 3rd temple.
The Day of the Lord God coming at Armageddon is all explained in Revelation 6. This is the be all end all final act after all the 4 horsemen have played their part and finally it is God’s turn to set up his rule.
Rev 6:12-27
says:
’I
watched as he opened the 6th
seal there was a great earthquake, the sun turned black like
sackcloth made of hair, the whole moon turned blood red and the
stars in the sky fell to earth as late figs drop from a fig tree
when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll
rolling up and every mountain and island was removed from its
place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes and generals, the
rich, the mighty and every slave and every free man hid in caves
and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the
mountains and rocks ‘fall on us and hide us from the face of
him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb’.
This now speaks
of Jesus’ return spoken of in the same detail in Joel 2:10-11,
Zacheriah 14:4-6, Isaiah 13:9-13 and by Jesus himself in Mathew
24:30.
There is an identical and even more vivid text that that echoes
Rev 6:12 and speaks to the people shuddering at the breaking of
the 6th seal it is Isaiah 24:17-23 it
says
“Terror
and pit and snare await you O people of the earth. Whoever flees
at the sound of terror will fall into a pit, whoever climbs out
of the pit will be caught in a snare. The floodgates of the
heavens are opened, the foundations of the earth shake. The earth
is broken up, the earth is split asunder, the earth is thoroughly
shaken. The earth reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in
the wind so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion that it
falls never to rise again. In that day the lord will punish the
powers in the heavens above and the kings on the earth below.
They will be herded together like prisoners bound in a dungeon,
they will be shut up in prison and be punished after many days (the
millennium). The moon will be abashed, the sun ashamed for the
lord almighty will reign on Mt Zion and in Jerusalem and before
its elders in glory’
This passage is identical but more detailed to what happens upon the Lord’s return upon opening the 6th seal. So the seals are a summation in brief of the entire period from the 1st horseman, the 1st beast seen by Daniel until the gathering of the chosen before god in heaven ‘The great multitude in white robes‘ spoken of in Rev 7:9-17.

Addressing your work fully would probably result in a response
even lengthier than your article. Thus, I will stick to those
points that are most key.
As you say, a lot depends on the proper translation of Quatrain 8.77.
This is the quatrain that has led so many to believe that
Nostradamus foresaw three antichrists to come in his future and
our time and future ... and ONLY three antichrists. That means
that if "Antichrist the third is very soon annihilated"
or "The third antichrist is very soon annhilated" is
NOT the proper translation, then the number of antichrists
Nostradamus envisioned could easily be four, five, six or ... as
I have determined ... even seven, with a final eighth beast-king
to follow from the seventh:
Revelation
17:11: And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth,
and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
The seventh antichrist, the personification of the beast, after
42 months of war, will change through death ... Rev 13:3: "And
I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his
deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the
beast" ... and become an eighth more terrible personality
who establishes a 42-month global peace: the beast/vile king who
declares himself as God and demands worldwide worship:

The prince who has little pity or mercy
Will come through death to change and become very knowledgeable.
The kingdom will be attended with great tranquility,
When the great one will soon be fleeced.
It is even possible that Quatrain 8.77 should read "Antichrist
will annihilate the three." That would echo what Daniel 7:24
says:
And
the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise:
and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from
the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
It is a most dangerous thing to hang an entire theory, one that
can easily go book-length, on one dubiously translated line of
one quatrain alone. Especially since that line can be translated
at least four different ways ... but which way is the right way??
Too bad Nostradamus did not mention a "third"
antichrist in another of one of his prophecies ... then we would
have support for such a theory. The idea that "all good good
things (or bad things) come in threes" is not a good enough
reason for anyone to assume only three antichrists from Quatrain
8.77. That, sadly, is the way a lot of average readers of
Nostradamus reason it out subconsciously. Then, if several
popular Nostradamus book authors or Nostradamus documentary film
writers shout out that there are three antichrists, then that
seals the belief. But it shouldn't ... and doesn't to the
discerning prophecy scholar.
Now, the antichrist of Quatrain 8.77 has a war that will last 27
years. That alone should exclude him from being the beast ...
unless the king who becomes the beast is at war for 23.5 years
first, and then becomes the beast and wars another 3.5 years
before establishing his false reign of peace for the last 3.5
years (resuming war for one month that ends in Armageddon).
Unfortunately, Nostradamus tells us that the final "antichrist"
does not reign in blood for 27 years ... but instead for 25 years!
Epistle
to Henry II
The Old and New testament will be thrust out and burnt. After
that shall the Antichrist be the infernal prince. And in this
last era all the kingdoms of Christianity and also of the
infidels shall quake for the space of twenty-five years. So many
evils shall be committed by the means of Satan, the infernal
Prince, that almost the entire world will be undone and desolate.
Oh well. I suppose it is possible that Nostradamus got his 27
years and 25 years confused. Then again ... Bibles are thrust out
and burnt BEFORE the the final antichrist (beast) comes to power?
What is this? Who would do such a thing?

The persecution of the clergy shall have its beginning in the
power of the Aquilonian Kings joined by the Orientals. And that
persecution shall last eleven years, or a little less, at which
time the chief Northern king shall fail, which years being ended,
shall come in his stead a united Southern one, who shall yet more
violently persecute the clergy of the Church for the space of
three years by the apostolic seduction of one that shall have
absolute power over the militant Church of God. The holy people
of God and keepers of His law, and all order of religion, shall
be grievously persecuted and afflicted, so much that the blood of
the true ecclesiastical men shall flow all over.
One of these horrid kings shall be praised by his followers for
having spilt more human blood of the innocent clergymen than
anyone has done to wine. The said king shall commit incredible
crimes against the Church; human blood shall run through public
streets and churches as water coming from an impetuous rain. Next,
rivers shall be red with blood.
In a sea battle the sea shall be red, so that one king will laugh
to the other, “Bellis rubuit navalibus, aequor.” After
that in the same year, and those following, shall happen the most
horrible pestilence, caused by the famine preceding, and such
great tribulation as ever did happen since the first foundation
of the Christian Church throughout all the Latin regions, some
marks remaining in some of the Spanish countries.
These figures will be in power shortly before the final
Antichrist: two Northern kings, an unknown number of Oriental
kings allied with them, and a Southern king. But there are
counted three of these kings we can be absolutely certain will
persecute and murder Christians simultaneously.
Are they not "antichrists" too?? Do any of these "horrid
kings" really need to bear the title "antichrist"
to be considered an antichrist?
Counting "Antichrist, the Infernal Prince" who ends human history as we know
it, that is four "antichrists" right there ... three
who reign for 14 years, the last one who reigns for 25 years,
seperated by a failed Christian renovator who rules only for a
few years whom Nostradamus calls "the third
Northern king" who
shall "restore
the great Vicar of the Hood [the Pope] to his former estate" and whom the prophet Daniel also
calls the "raiser of taxes in the glory of the
kingdom [who] within few days shall be destroyed, neither in
anger, nor in battle."
The four antichrists mentioned ... the two
Northern kings, the Southern king, and the "Infernal Prince"
... do not include Hitler nor the antichrist associated with the
Medo-Persian alliance ("the ram") mentioned by Daniel
in Dan 7, 8 and 11 led by a Persian (Iranian) king.
There is no way that Hitler can be counted as one of the two
Northern kings. Nostradamus would not have him so early in the
narrative associated with "the Attila" as you mention
and then again so late in the Epistle, just before the person who
is obviously the final antichrist ("Infernal Prince").
If the king of the north parallels the surviving Northern king as
"the king of the north" and this "king of the
north" is Hitler, how does it happen that Hitler occurs so
long after "the fourth king of Persia"? That definitely
would place him well out of sequence. Also, the Jews are not what
is intended by the Ecclesiasticals. "Ecclesiastical,"
especially capitalised, means "Of or relating to the
Christian Church or its clergy." This cannot be applied to
the Jews.
Regarding "the ram"/"king of Persia"
antichrist: I know you end up saying this antichrist is an
African Arab, but the Persian (Iranian) leader is clearly the one
spotlighted by Daniel in Daniel 11 (and in Daniel 7 and8), so it
should be obvious that this antichrist is an Iranian ayatollah or
president, especially since he brings so much war and death to
the Christian nations of the West (before the West regroups and
counter-attacks as the "he-goat with the notable horn";
the "mighty king" who comes "from the west").
I have no doubt, however, that Libya's Gadhafi or Gadhafi fils
will be allied with Iran. It appears he will survive the war,
whereas the Iranian leader does not according to Rigord of St
Denis ("and he will not live long"). This greatest of
African Arabs will then become the first "king of the south."
That gives us a total of six antichrists right there: Hitler,
the Persian, the two Northern kings, the Southern king (the final
"king of the south"), and the "Infernal Prince."
Even before the two "Northern kings" come to power,
another figure persecutes Christianity in a major way:

It will seem that God the Creator has loosed Satan from the
prisons of hell to give birth to the great Dog and Dogam, who
will make such an abominable breach in the Churches that neither
the reds nor the whites without eyes or hands will know what to
make of it, and their power will be taken from them. Then will
commence a persecution of the Churches the like of which was
never seen.
Now we have seven antichrists.
I know that it is your opinion that the first antichrist must in
some way help to bring about the birth of Israel (thus Hitler).
But who says that is the criterion upon which Nostradamus counted
his antichrists? For him, an antichrist was a cruel leader who
also persecuted Christianity. That is all that is required. In
his time that sort of person was unheard of since the Catholic
Church was all powerful and itself persecuted all those who did
not worship Christ in the way proscribed by its doctrine.
Christian leaders such as John Calvin and Martin Luther who
disagreed with Church doctrine, on the other hand, were not
"antichrists" but were considered by Nostradamus to be
leaders of sects. Thus, the Wars of Religion had nothing to do
with anti-Christianity (unless one believed the Pope was the
antichrist, that is).
Anti-Christian behaviour first begins to raise its ugly head in
Europe's future, according to Nostradamus, when on September 22,
1792 the French First Republic is established and later, in 1793,
the French revolutionaries declare 1792 as "year one"
and a new calendar is created, the old Christian calendar (based
on the Roman calendar) thrown out. The most horrible forms of
torture and death imaginable were meted out towards Christians
and clergy alike by the mob and by the leaders of the French
Revolution in 1792 and during the Reign of Terror in 1793 and
1794. Here is one example:
October
20, 1793. Atrocities at Nantes. The atrocities committed against
the town's citizens were variously called the noyades, fusilades,
and mariages republicains (republican marriages). Fifteen
thousand people were put to death over a period of three months
by General Jean Baptists Carrier. Over a thousand males were
guillotined; another 1,800 men, women, and children were shot in
groups. Hundreds of priests were locked in the bilges of flat-bottomed
boats that were allowed to drift out into the center of the Loire
River and then scuttled. During the cruel games known as "republican
marriages," men and women — monks and nuns included
— were stripped naked and bound, face to face, and thrown
into the Loire. The drowning victims died thrashing in the water
while soldiers took turns shooting at them.
Madame Guillotine was ultimately the form of execution used
during the Terror, but before that people were raped, drowned or
shot in large groups, hanged and disemboweled, decapitated by
sword, burned alive, or in some cases literally hacked to pieces
or torn apart head from limb as was Marie Antoinette's closest friend,
the Princesse de Lamballe, along with 1,500 others in September 1792.
This was BEFORE Napoleon,
who took command AFTER
the Terror ended. In fact it is more than likely that it was Maximilien
Robespierre, Georges Jacques Danton, and Joseph Fouché
(who personally carried out the dechristianisation of France)
whom Nostradamus was referring to as the First Antichrist or,
more exactly, those who will see to it that "the Christian
Church will be persecuted more fiercely than it ever was in
Africa, and this will last up to the year 1792, which they will
believe to mark a renewal of time."
Technically, Nostradamus should have said "up to the year
1794." But it was 1792 that was declared "year one"
of the revolution (in 1793) in an attempt to "mark a renewal
of time." Why is this important? Because changing laws and
times, as the French Revolution's leaders truly did, is a major
feature of anyone who would be called "antichrist."
Daniel 7:25 tells us this:
And
he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear
out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and
laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and
times and the dividing of time.
Just as the final antichrist shall do, Robespierre, Danton and
Fouché thought to change times and laws. So did Hitler. And so
shall the others who are yet to come. Nostradamus was actually
using Daniel to prove that the leaders of the French Revolution
and the Terror were the First Antichrist.
The fact that he mentions little about this period of history in
his Epistle to Henry II need not concern us: he more than makes
up for it in his quatrains.
Did Nostradamus consider Napoleon to be an antichrist too?
Probably not, even though he named him in the quatrains. Napoleon
the conqueror and emperor certainly could not be ignored by
Nostradamus ... but the first antichrist was truly the French
Revolution and Reign of Terror, personified by Robespierre,
Danton and Fouché.
It was Robespierre who outlawed Christianity in 1793 and it was
Fouché who replaced it with the Cult of Reason inaugurated by
the Festival of Reason. Priests and nuns were subjected to mass
executions on the orders of Fouché, among them entire convents
of Benedictine nuns. During the Festival an opera dancer and
prostitute named Mademoiselle Maillard
was chosen to represent the Goddess of Reason. In some other
French cities prostitutes were chosen to play the role, but
Maillard was the one principally revered as the Goddess. She was
placed nude on a high altar at Notre Dame Cathedral. Orgies, acts
of depravity (ncluding pedophelia) and human sacrifice were
carried out during festivals held in her honour.

People and city (Paris) he will usurp even for himself:

Delivered to the field, reading the false oration.
The "he" is either Robespierre or Fouché.
It is even remotely possible that Maillard is mentioned here as
well, with the "he" being Robespierre, Danton or
Fouché:

He will enter, wicked, unpleasant, infamous,
Tyrannising over Mesopotamia.
All friends made by the adulterous lady,
The land dreadful and black of aspect.
Nostradamus sometimes called France, and not Iraq, Mesopotamia
because Paris is located between the Seine and the Marne rivers.
The "adulterous lady" is, of course, "the whore of
Babylon" and the land of France was indeed dreadful and
black (evil).
So, the beast was enthroned as Robespierre/Fouché and the whore
of Babylon was created by selecting Mademoiselle Maillard as the
Goddess of Reason. The only piece missing was the false prophet.
Robespierre's mad dream failed well before such a creature could
ever enter the scene.
I have tarried rather lengthily about this "first antichrist"
I admit. However, it is important to me to dispel the many
misconceptions of it being Napoleon or for it to be unjustly
ignored or played down from being characterised as the truly
horrific period of anti-Christianity that it was.
This also leads me to the inescapable conclusion that Hitler was
the SECOND antichrist
and that my reading of the "Second Antichrist" section
of the Epistle to Henry II as relating to Adolf
Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Pierre Laval is
correct. Nostradamus even provides most of the correct years of
the Second World War ("45, and others to 41, 42, and 47")
and that all three men would die in the same year (45). Tojo may
or may not have been hinted at as well, although he is clearly to
be found with Hitler and Mussolini in a few of the quatrains. The
year 47 misses the creation of Israel, 1948, by only one year ...
the culmination of what Hitler set in motion (as you correctly
observe).
Regarding the following excerpt:
Then
the great Empire of the Antichrist will begin in the Attila
empire and Xerxes descending in great and countless numbers, so
that the coming of the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the 48th
degree, will make a transmigration, chasing out the abomination
of the Antichrist who made war against the royal who will be the
great vicar of Jesus Christ, and his church, and his reign for a
time and to the end of time. This will be preceded by a solar
eclipse more dark and gloomy than any since the creation of the
world, except for the death and passion of Jesus Christ, from
that time till now. And it will be in the month of October that
the great translation will be made and it will be such that one
will think the earth has lost its natural movement and that it
will be plunged into the abyss of perpetual darkness. In the
spring there will be initial omens, and thereafter extreme
changes, reversals of realms and mighty earthquakes, with the
increase of the new Babylon, the miserable daughter, augmented by
the abomination of the first holocaust, and it will last no less
than seventy-three years and seven months.
I could almost agree about this being about the Russian
Revolution and the Soviet Union, especially since it lasted
exactly 73 years and 7 months. But one simply cannot call this
"the great Empire of Antichrist" and then claim the
Antichrist to be Germany's Hitler. Moreover, one should not
ignore "Xerxes" as the critical ally of "the
Attila." Xerxes
was the leader of Persia, now modern day Iran. Iran had nothing whatsoever to do
with the formation and reign of the Soviet Union. Also, how did the Holy Spirit ever make a
transmigration during this period and bring about the end of this
Antichrist??
No. An
alliance between "the Attila" and "Xerxes"
would be the same as Daniel's two-horned "ram" alliance
between Media and Persia. This is
the Third Antichrist
... the leader of Persia aided by the Medes (Iraq,Turkey,
southern Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and part of
Central Asia). In
my book I may or may
not be correct about this alliance waging
TWO wars against the West, seperated by a twenty-five or thirty
year armistice. In any event, "the first holocaust"
must be World War III
... the first
war fought extensively with either nuclear, chemical, and
biological weapons or else a new form of weapon of mass
destruction still in the testing stages.
Regarding Daniel, there is nothing wrong with an historicist
interpretation of Daniel 11 ... up to a point. One eventually
does reach a point late in that chapter that cannot be applied to
anyone historically, including Antiochus Epiphanes. I would add,
however, that Antiochus fulfills only part of "the vile king"
prophecy, but not the profanation. The profanation was fulfilled
by the Roman emperor Caligula. However, Caligula never found
himself or his empire being attacked by the kings of the north,
south, and evil tidings from the east. I would call Antiochus
Epiphanes and Caligula archetypes of the final antichrist. Daniel
11 must be fulfilled more exactly in the future because it is set
during "the time of the end" ... and we even have two
archangels, one Gabriel and one who is unnamed, who say it is so.
As to four horsemen relating to the four empires, I cannot argue
either for or against this idea.
As to four empires relating to three antichrists, it is possible,
but it makes more sense that they would relate to four
antichrists.
As to four horsemen relating to three antichrists, it is possible,
but it makes more sense that they would relate to four
antichrists. What is more, since the last horseman, Death, is
accompanied also by Hell, there could well be five antichrists
indicated here. Either that or else Death and Hell are the beast
and the false prophet.
Nevertheless, I do not believe any human figures are represented
by the other three horsemen. Only the first horsemen is a person
(and an antichrist) in my view.
What was handed down in the vision to St. John as the most
important antichrists to be represented is not known, other than
the knowledge that the last antichrist is the beast.
What the Bible considered as most important may have excluded some
of what Nostradamus considered to be important.
Thus, as indicated by Nostradamus, the first horseman could
be the French Revolution/Reign of Terror
under Robespierre and the others and the conqueror on the white
horse who benefits from this later could then be Napoleon.
But I doubt this very much.
I believe the Bible is only concerned with the antichrists that
will arise in the latter days, at the beginning of the time of
the end. In other words, the warnings and tribulations the world
is subjected to in the Book of Revelation may not begin until the
Persian king declares war on Grecia. Robespierre/Danton/Fouché
and Hitler/MUssolini/Laval/Tojo may have been considered
antichrists to Nostradamus, but may not be part of the Revelation
period of future history.
Regarding "the black flags of Khurasan," most Muslim
prophecy scholars consider Khurasan to be Afghanistan and not
Iran. One hadith has the "the black flags of Khurasan"
as coming to the aid of Persia during a war with the Arab
Sufyaani ... which would be nonsensical if Khurasan were Iran (it
would mean Iran coming to the aid of Iran).

The
ancient Khurasan was the last eastern province of the Persian
Empire. Khurasan, in Persian, means the “land of the
sunrise”, a natural synonym for East. The term was loosely
applied to territories of Persia east and north east of Dasht-e-Kavir.
Emperor Babur wrote in his memoirs (1) that Indians used to call
all non-Indians as Khurasanis. Regarding the boundary of
Hindustan (India) and Khurasan, it is written: “On the road
between Hindustan and Khurasan, there are two great marts: the
one Kabul, the other Kandahar.”
In modern day world the ancient Khurasan is divided into five
central Asian
countries i.e.
1. Iran
2. Afghanistan
3. Tajikistan
4. Turkmenistan
5. Uzbekistan
The LARGEST part of the ancient Khurasan is in Afghanistan today.
This supports my idea that there will be two wars between the
Attila/Xerxes alliance and the Arab states, Israel, and the West.
The first is the war of the white conqueror (first horsemen) of
Revelation who is also the "fourth king of Persia"
Daniel prophesied in his Chapter 11 (and also describes as an
alliance of Medes and Persians in his Chapters 7 and 8).
Revelation
6:2:
And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a
bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering,
and to conquer.
Daniel 11:2:
Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the
fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength
through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of
Grecia.
Nostradamus does not mention this figure in the Epistle to Henry
II, but does call his war "the First Holocaust." The
French seer, however, discusses this Persian leader extensively
in the quatrains.
The second war is led by the Central Asian states (the Attila),
which obviously include the "black banners of Khurasan"
with Persia (Xerxes) as secondary ally. The Book of Revelation
mixes this up with natural and space-borne catastrophes.
Before discussing this, what is to be made of the second, third,
and fourth horsemen?
The second horseman is often called "War." I suspect
this means that the conqueror on the white horse will trigger a
huge war: World War III.
Revelation
6:4:
And there went out another horse that was red: and power was
given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and
that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a
great sword.
The consequences of this war are indicated by the third horseman
as famine, hunger, and economic collapse worldwide, and the
fourth horseman, Death, accompanied by Hell, brings death in many
forms, including the mob violence, revolutions, civil wars, and
reigns of terror in Europe and elsewhere foretold by so many
European prophets, plague and pestilence as well, and much agony
and suffering (Hell).
The fifth seal is then opened, and many Christians are persecuted
and subjected to all forms of torture and death.
As the war drags on, the sixth seal opens and the universal
earthquake and chaos on earth follows, likely caused by Planet X/Nibiru.
Finally there is peace, perhaps for as long as 21 to 23 years:

7:1-3
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four
corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that
the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any
tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the
seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the
four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till
we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
It is clear this is a "time-out" period. How long it
lasts we can only speculate. To the inhabitants of Earth this
will seem to be an armistice period, like the one that divided
World War I and World War II.
During this time, the sealing of the 144,000 of the tribes of
Israel takes place.
Revelation
8:1
And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in
heaven about the space of half an hour.
Anyone who thinks this period of time is truly only a half an
hour should contemplate the following:

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is
with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one
day.
So, how long is 1/2 hour if 24 hours = 1,000 years??
1/24 of 1,000 = 41.666 years.
1/2 of 41.666 years = 20.833 years.
There will be peace for a period of least 20.8 years. Whether
this includes the period mentioned in Revelation 7 is unknown.
The sealing could take an additional several months, bringing the
20.8 figure to exactly 21 years, or it could take one or two
years. Therefore the peace that follows World War III is at least
21 years and may extend to 23 years.
The second war of Attila/Xerxes, led by a "great one from (Central)
Asia" resumes as World War IV with a possible nuclear attack:

And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared
themselves to sound. The first angel sounded, and there followed
hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the
earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green
grass was burnt up.
Then comes the deep impact of Earth by the asteroid Apophis:

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain
burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of
the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which
were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the
ships were destroyed.
When is Apophis expected to strike?
April 13, 2036.
If peace lasted for roughly 21 years, and the attack of fire (Rev
8:7) occurred at the beginning of 2036 or the previous year in
2035, then WW3 must have ended sometime in 2014 or 2015. If 22 or
23 years, then it ended in 2012, 2013 or 2014.
According to Nostradamus, the Pope must flee Rome during wartime
when a huge star blazes in the sky for seven days and nights:

When the great pontiff changes his land.
This is the star Nostradamus is writing about:
8:10-11
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from
heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third
part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the
name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the
waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because
they were made bitter.
Is Wormwood the same as Planet X? Probably not. Then again, it
could be the SECOND
passage of Planet X/Nibiru that is causing all this trouble.
Mother Shipton reminds us what happens to the survivors of the
first passage of Planet X and World War III:

The "great Monarch" who will lead the nations of the
West in war against the final incarnation of the "great
Empire of Antichrist" will appear when the "great
Pontiff" leaves Rome and "goes over the sea." Thus,
he will appear at the time of Wormwood. When will this be?

The great Monarch and the great Pope will precede Antichrist. The
nations will be at war for four years and a great part of the
world will be destroyed. The Pope will go over the sea carrying
the sign of Redemption on his forehead. The great Monarch will
come to restore peace and the Pope will share in the victory. The
Pope will cross the sea in a year when the Feast of St. George
falls on Good Friday (April 23), and St, Mark's Feast comes on
Easter Sunday (April 25) and the Feast of St. Anthony falls on
Pentecost (June 13) and the Feast of St. John the Baptist falls
on Corpus Christi (June 24).

Anthony on Pentecost, and that of St. John on Corpus Christi, the
whole world shall cry 'Woe.'
This can only occur on April 25, 2038.
Even so, Nostradamus would differ with Werdin d'Otrante with the
length of the war being only four years.
What is the ultimate that Planet X and mankind's terrible war do?

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was
smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of
the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day
shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

has lost its natural movement and that it will be plunged into

When does Nostradamus date this terrible cataclysm? When the
"great Empire of Antichrist" is victorious over the
nations of the West:

At his height an INCREASE of the escalation,
Plague, famine, death from the military hand,
The century approaches its renovation.
This verse is dated February 2044.
Then there is another related quatrain:

Throughout America (or, alternatively, 'the West') and Italy it
will be:
The fire in the ship, pestilence and captivity,
Mercury in Sagittarius, Saturn warning.
The astrological date is December 7, 2044. Therefore, the October
dating in the Epistle is likely October 2044.
All of this occurs WELL BEFORE the counterattack by the regrouped
Western nations led by the "great Monarch." How do we
know?
First, it is described this way:

Epistle to Henry II
The coming of the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the 48th degree,
will make a transmigration, chasing out the abomination of the
Antichrist who made war against the royal who will be the great
vicar of Jesus Christ, and his church, and his reign for a time
and to the end of time.
What happens prior to this?
This
will be preceded by a solar eclipse more dark and gloomy than any
since the creation of the world, except for the death and passion
of Jesus Christ, from that time till now. And it will be in the
month of October (2044) that the great translation will be made
and it will be such that one will think the earth has lost its
natural movement and that it will be plunged into the abyss of
perpetual darkness ...
So the war of liberation takes place well after
December 7, 2044.
When will the war end? Sometime in late 2040s most likely.
However, if this war is 27 years in length, and it actually
begins with a war between Russia and Central Asia in 2025, it
will not end until 2052.
The Bible says little more than this after Planet X/WW4 destroy
so much of the planet in 2044:

8:13
And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of
heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the
inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the
trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
This may sound imminent to some who read this verse, but it isn't.
For one thing,
what the next angel
unleashes in Revelation 9 does not easily relate to this World
War 4/Planet X second passage very well. It is nothing less than the unleashing of
demonic beings from the bottomless pit that occurs.
Why can this not
take place during World War 4 (or World War 3 for that matter)?
Here is the reason:
Revelation
9:6
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it;
and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
Anyone who thinks mankind will attain extended life spans or
immortality during the years of WW3 and WW4 is quite crazy. This
has to be referring to a much later time when this will be
possible for men to be deathless and unable to escape pain
through death.
Key phrases begin to show up, such as "and in those days" and, below, "prepared for an hour, and a day,
and a month, and a year," telling us much later periods of
future history are being encountered:

9:13-15
And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four
horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the
sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which
are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were
loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month,
and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
The war of Gog, land of Magog (Nostradamus' Dog and Dogam) begins:

And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred
thousand thousand (200 million): and I heard the number of them.
And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on
them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone:

of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these
three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the
smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
Ezekiel

Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meschech and Tubal [Turkey]
... I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I
will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen,
all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great
company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Persia, Ethiopia [all east Africa south of Egypt], and Libya with
them, all of them with shield and helmet.
After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou
shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and
is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel,
which have always been waste ... thou shalt ascend and come like
a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and
all thy bands, and many people with thee.
Ezekiel
38:18-22, 39:1-2, 6—
At the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel...there
shall be a great shaking in the land...and all the men who are
upon the face of the earth shall shake at my presence, and the
mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall,
and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will plead against
him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon his
bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing
rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and
Tubal: and I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of
thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and
will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel ... And I will send
a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the

Epistle
to Henry II —
And it shall seem, from the kingdoms spoiled by the Eastern men,
that God the Creator has loosed Satan from his infernal prison,
to cause to be born the great Dog and Doham, who shall make so
abominable a breach in the West ... A new incursion shall be made
from the sea coasts, willing to deliver the Castulan Leap from
the first Mohammedan taking, and the assaulting shall not be
altogether in vain. There shall happen a total desolation to the
clergy, and martial men shall usurp what shall come from the City
of the Sun [Rome], and from Malta, and from the Islands of Hieres
[southern France], and the great chain of the port shall be open
which takes its name from a sea ox [Bosporus Strait] ...
And that place where the habitation of Abraham was [Israeli port
of Acre] shall be assaulted by those who have reverence for the
Jovialists [nations of Europe still clinging to paganism]. The
great eastern city of Shechem [Jordanian city of Nabulus] shall
be encompassed and assaulted on all sides by a great power of
armed men. Their sea forces shall be weakened by the Western men,
and to that kingdom shall happen great desolation, and the great
cities shall be depopulated, and those that shall come in shall
be comprehended within the vengeance of the wrath of God. The
Holy Sepulchre [in Jerusalem], held in great veneration for so
long a time, shall remain a great while open to the universal
aspect of the heavens, sun and moon. The sacred place [Bethlehem]
shall be converted into a stable for small and large, and put to
profane uses.
O what a calamitous time shall be then for woman with child! For
then the principal Eastern ruler, being for the most part moved
by the Northern and Western men, shall be vanquished and put to
death, beaten, and all the rest put to flight, and the children
he had by many women put in prison. What great oppression shall
be made then upon the princes and governors of kingdoms, and
especially on those that shall live eastward and near the [Pacific]
ocean, their languages intermixed with all nations. All the
Oriental kings shall be driven away, beaten and brought to
nothing ...
Quatrain 8.90
When the crusaders one finds with troubled senses,
In place of the sacred is seen a horned ox.
By the Virgin, swine, her place then will be filled,
By the king order is no longer sustained [anarchy].
Revelation 10 gives us another period of peace, a time to pause.
We are even told that the days of the
seventh angel is another age away:
Revelation
10:7
But in the days of the voice of the seventh
angel, when he shall begin to sound, the
mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his
servants the prophets.
Then, Revelation finally reveals the second woe: the reign of the
two witnesses, their death, resurrection and rapture, and another
great earthquake. Then:
Revelation
11:14
The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
Next, in Revelation 12, comes the wonder of the sun-moon woman
giving birth, the war in heaven, and the dragon cast to the earth.
Finally, in Revelation 13, the beast
and false prophet
appear.
Thus, it would appear that Revelation mentions 4 antichrists: 1)
The Persian conqueror and his war (WW3), 2) the war of the
Central Asian conqueror (Attila) when Planet X passes Earth for
the second time (WW4), 3) the war of the Dog and Dogam (Gog and
Magog) as a 200 million man army (WW5), and the beast and false
prophet.
Missing: anything or anyone resembling the kings of the north and
the king of the south. These figures are indeed mentioned by
Daniel and Nostradamus, but do not appear in Revelation.
I have avoided discussing much that is related to the heros of
Nostradamus: Chyren and the "great Monarch" ... if they
are the same person, I suspect they are not, partly based on St. Methodius (Apocalypse of Pseudo-Methodius)
who foretells
of TWO great monarchs seperated by a great monarch whose reign
falls into corruption and ends badly:
A
time will come when the enemies of Christ will boast: "We
have subjected the earth and all its inhabitants, and the
Christians cannot escape our hands." Then a Roman Emperor
will arise in great fury against them... Drawing his sword, he
will fall upon the foes of Christianity and crush them. Then
peace will reign on earth, and priests will be relieved of all
their anxieties. (the French "Chyren"?)
In the last period Christians will not appreciate the great grace
of God who provided a monarch (Chyren?), a long duration of peace,
a splendid fertility of the earth. They will be very ungrateful,
lead a sinful life, in pride, vanity, unchastity, frivolity,
hatred, avarice, gluttony, and many other vices, [so] that the
sins of men will stink more than a pestilence before God. Many
will doubt whether the Catholic faith is the true and only saving
one and whether the Jews are correct when they still expect the
Messiah. Many will be the false teachings and resultant
bewilderment. The just God will in consequence give Lucifer and
all his devils power to come on earth and tempt his godless
creatures...
The ruler of the Greeks, that is, the Romans, will fall upon the
point of the sword (Ogmios?). Just as the Romans killed the
rulers of the Hebrews and Greeks, so they themselves will fall
upon the point of the sword of the seed of Ishmael, who was
called the wild ass, because in anger and wrath they will be
dispatched on the face of the earth against men, cattle, all wild
beasts, plants and every kind of fruit.
The land of Persia... Cappadocia... Sicily will become desolate
and her inhabitants will meet slaughter and captivity. Hellas...
Romania [Asia Minor] will undergo destruction and her inhabitants
put to flight. The islands of the sea will become desolate and
their inhabitants will perish through the sword and captivity.
Egypt, the East, and Syria will be loaded with an immeasurable
yoke of affliction.They mercilessly will be pressed into service
and their souls will be lured by an irresistable amount of gold...
The hearts of the destroyers
will be uplifted and raised in contempt and they will babble
incessantly until their appointed time... All men will be under
their yoke and birds and all waters of the sea will be subject to
them, and the deserts, where their inhabitants hunt, will be
theirs. They will register claim for themselves of the mountains
as well as the deserts, ... They will have no mercy on labourers,
the poor, they will dishonour the aged and will afflict and have
no mercy on the weak and infirm, but will mock and laugh at those
who are distinguished in wisdom and in political and civic
affairs. Everyone will be shamed into silence and will be afraid
since they will not have the strength to reply or say anything
plainly. All of the inhabitants of the earth will be astonished,
and their wisdom and education, of evil origin, will be powerless
to retort to or alter their [the Muslim's] proclamations. Their
course will be from sea to sea, from east to west, and from the
north to the desert of Ethribus... For apostasy is education and
it will educate all of the earth's inhabitants...
Then suddenly tribulation and distress will arise against them.
The King of the Greeks, i.e., the Romans, will come out against
them in anger, roused as from a drunken stupor like one whom men
had thought dead and worthless [Psalms 77:65]. He will go forth
against them from the Ethiopian sea and will send the sword and
desolation into Ethribus, their homeland, capturing their women
and children living in the Land of Promise [Israel]. The sons of
the king will come down with the sword and cut them off from the
earth. Fear and trembling will rush upon them and their wives and
their children from all sides. They will mourn their offspring,
weeping over them and all the villages in the lands of their
fathers. By the sword they will be given over into the hands of
the king of the Romans -- to captivity, death, and decay.
The King of the Romans will impose his yoke upon them seven times
as much as their yoke weighed upon the earth. Great distress will
seize them; tribulation will bring them hunger and thirst. They,
their wives, and their children will be slaves and serve those
who used to serve them, and their slavery will be a hundred times
more bitter and hard.
The earth which they destituted will then be at peace; each man
will return to his own land and to the inheritance of his fathers...
Every man who was left captive will return to the things that
were his and his fathers', and men will multiply upon the once
desolated land like locusts. Egypt will be desolated, Arabia
burned with fire, the land of Ausania burned, and the sea
provinces pacified. The whole indignation and fury of the King of
the Romans will blaze forth against those who deny the Lord Jesus
Christ. Then the earth will sit in peace and there will be great
peace and tranquillity upon the earth such as has never been nor
ever will be any more, since it is the final peace at the End of
Time... (I
believe Nostradamus calls this figure "Philip," also
"the Roman Belgian king")
After the "final peace" of the last paragraph, the
"gates of the north" first introduced by Methodius in
his Alexander section "will be opened", unleashing Gog
and Magog (the Dog and Dogam), triggering Revelation 9:16, the
army of 200 million.
Now, it is just as important to know how many heroes or
liberators ("great monarchs") there are as it is to
know how many antichrists.
Nostradamus counted FIVE
great monarchs as surely as he counted SEVEN
antichrists. His term for "great
monarch" was "Hercules."
The trick
is knowing that the fifth great monarch is also the seventh and
final antichrist!
Quatrain
9.33
Hercules, King of Rome and Annemarc:
Of Gaul [France and Belgium] three times the Leader will be
surnamed.
Italy trembles and the waters of St. Mark [Venice],
The first over all monarchs to be renown.
Thus, three "great monarchs" will arise from the region
that was once Gaul: France and Belgium. Chyren is "the first
over all monarchs to be renown." Obviously the "Roman
Belgian" king will come from Belgium. I believe the final
Hercules, who will also be the final Antichrist, will be the
third to come from Gaul, from the region of the Pyrenees.
Quatrain
10.27
Through the fifth and a great Hercules
They will come to open the temple (Mount) with the hand of war,
One Clement, Julius, and Ascans repelled,
Sword, key, the eagle never once experienced such great wrath.
As to the other two "Hercules" ... one will be British
and the other will be German or Russian.
I really do think you will be fascinated with the rest of my book.
How this is all put together fits like a glove.
So, as you can see, I can't agree with your theory. I am too
locked into my own.
But then again ... I can be wrong and you can be right. Indeed,
for that matter, all of us prophecy interpreters could be wrong!
Nevertheless, it is diversity of opinion that makes studying
prophecy so intriguing. Even theories that are way out can still
be entertaining.
Your viewpoint is well thought out, well researched. For that
reason it deserves to be published and read.
