This was one of two pages created to show what would happen in 2010 if World War III failed to materialise in 2009. And fortunately for us, failed to appear it did.

Nevertheless, it was an interesting and troubling year. Some of the predictions on this page that were fulfilled, partially fulfilled, prevented, or came close in the year 2010 itself include:

• Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson dies suddenly from mysterious causes

• Reality TV Star Tila Tequila assaulted topless by mob as she performed at rock concert; later pursued and nearly lynched at her trailer
• Hundreds dead in China during 6.9 earthquake
• North Korea and China threaten US with war in the Pacific; North Korea threatens nuclear war
• Green Comet McNaught (C/2009 R1) brightens northern skies; Ray Mabus made US Secretary of the Navy
• The largest oil spill and ecological catastrophe in history occurs in Gulf of Mexico after oil rig Deepwater Horizon explodes and sinks
• Cruise ship Carnival Splendour got stranded offshore when a fire started in the engine room and the ship lost power
• Revolution in Thailand

Some predictions intended for 2010 that instead materialised early as real events in 2009 include:

• American actor David Carradine found dead, hanging by a nylon rope in a hotel room closet in Bangkok, believed to be a victim of auto-erotic asphyxia
• Revolutions in Iran and China

Some predictions intended for 2010 that instead materialised a bit later as real events in 2011 include:

• Protests and riots rage in North Africa
• Rep. Gabrielle Giffords survives deadly gunshot wound to head by would-be assassin
• Revolution in Egypt
• Revolution and civil war in Libya

One prediction intended for 2010 instead materialised as a real event in early 2012:

• The Costa Concordia cruise liner runs aground and tips over in Italy in a tragedy compared with the sinking of The Titanic

More could be said. More events that came close. But this will be sufficient until the page is rated for accuracy.

• Vatican summons Anglicans back into the fold -- Pope's new structure shocks both churches

Some predictions intended for 2010 that instead materialised a bit later as real events in 2011 include:

• Rare 5.9 Virginia earthquake rattles East Coast
• Rep. Gabrielle Giffords survives deadly gunshot wound to head by would-be assassin
• Revolution in Egypt
• Revolution and civil war in Libya
• Osama bin Laden killed during US-led operation

More could be said. More events that came close. But this will be sufficient until the page is rated for accuracy.

NOTE: It was understood by me from the very start when I created this page and the companion page, 2010 (Part Two), that most, if not all, of these "predictions" would fail to happen if a global war did not begin in the Middle East between October 2008 and June 2009 and no later than August or September 2009 in Europe and beyond.

Furthermore, it was understood by me that if the world had ever reached the dire scenario presented on this page and 2010 (Part Two), there probably would no longer be an internet to read and evaluate these predictions.

LET US BE REALISTIC, IF TRUE DOOMSDAY PREDICTIONS LIKE MOST OF THESE WERE EVER FULFILLED, THERE WOULD NOT BE MANY PEOPLE LEFT IN THE WORLD TO REMEMBER OR EVALUATE THEM ... OR MUCH CARE.

It was for this reason that I also created the 2010 (Part Three) and 2010 (Part Four) pages ... to show what would happen in 2010 if World War III failed to materialise in 2009. And fortunately for us, failed to appear it did. It is those pages that I will be rating for accuracy, obviously, and not this one or the 2010 (Part Two) page.

Thus, it is obvious that when one presents two entirely different views of the future for a given year, one based on a "yes, it will happen" condition and the other on a "no, it won't" condition, that one of the two will end up largely being an unfuflilled fantasy and the other one mostly a fulfilled reality.

Nevertheless, I believe that many of these predictions will yet see their day ... for many are based on actual prophecies and the prophets have warned of a time to come when many of these things shall come to pass. That time will come whenever World War III finally arrives, whether it is indeed in 2012 for the Middle East and 2013 for Europe and the rest of the world, as I suspect, OR much later, sometime in the 2020s or 2030s.

The purpose of maintaining this page and the 2010 (Part Two) page on this website is for them to serve as cautionary examples of just how bad things can and will get during the next world war, and even worse during the turbulence that will likely follow as the war enters its final stages and during the war's aftermath.

Finally, it will be noticed that a few predictions on these pages have somehow managed to be completely or partially fulfilled. They include:

• The ROKS Cheonan sinking by a North Korean submarine
• Back-to-Back Major Earthquakes and Tsunami Resulting in over 1,300 Deaths in Sumatra (7.6) and Samoa (8.1)
• 2010 French pension reform strikes
• Murders, Decapitations, Dismemberments, Hangings of Men, Women, and Children Escalate in the Tens of Thousands in Mexican Drug War
• First Lady of France, Carla Bruni, Threatened With Death by Iran and Islamic Terrorists; French Public Compares Her With Marie Antoinette

These few are echoes, some feeble, some powerful and terrifying, from a future that was otherwise largely avoided in 2009, 2010, and 2011. They are evidence that most, if not all, of these predictions would have been fulfilled in all their horror and dread had a global war commenced in 2009. They wait only for the right time to approach again ... a time that may be much sooner than we dare think ... if we allow it to happen.

2011 (Part One)

Stubborn to a fault to continue the alternative view, in early 2009 I began work on this page. By the beginning of 2010 it was fairly clear these events would likewise prove to be a fantasy, whilst the reality would lie in predictions made on pages 2011 (Part Two), 2011 (Part Three) and 2011 (Part Four). It is those pages that I will be rating for accuracy, obviously, and not this one. However, they will not be rated until after the end of 2012.

Work on this alternative page was never thoroughly fleshed out and completed. There was also to have been two alternative 2011 pages, just like the first two 2010 pages. This page was largely abandoned because things got very busy when my predictions made for the real future in 2011 were being fulfilled left and right, some even before 2011 began.

As with the two alternative 2010 pages, there were a few predictions that managed to get fulfilled on this page that were but an echo of what would have really happened if World War III had broken out in 2009. These include:

• The 2011 United Kingdom anti-austerity protests
• The 2011 England riots
• Harold Camping's end times prediction for The Rapture and The Rapture Pranks

You could more or less tell this page was indeed "alternative" since I do not even believe in The Rapture nor find such an event is supported by the Bible.

On 2011 (Part Two), one of the three pages containing mostly successful predictions for what was to be the reality of 2011, I correctly predicted "The False Rapture Or Largest Mass Murder/Suicide In History" ... which not only correctly anticipated Camping's phony Rapture prophecy, but also the suicides worldwide that would follow, and even the other phony Rapture: the Rapture Pranks of clothes left in parks and public places. It was the Rapture Pranks that oddly enough added an echo of reality to The Rapture prediction on this page which I rightly believed would fail.

A Memorial to 2009: a year when the US air force lost communication with a large part of its nuclear arsenal; hundreds were killed in Congo after an oil tanker truck exploded; porn actor Stephen Clancy Hill, wanted for murdering a colleague with a samurai sword, jumped to his death after a standoff with police; the first series of mass protests over the economy and against President Nicolas Sarkozy took place in France (a second, much worse series occurs in 2010); Norwegian heiress/socialite Martine Vik Magnussen was abducted and her body later found semi-nude, raped, and strangled; Polish millionairess Kinga Legg was found bludgeoned to death; pop icon Madonna no sooner established herself as the Whore of Babylon when Lady Gaga entered the scene, threatening her claim to the most wicked of crowns; famous actress Natasha Richardson died from brain injuries after a ski fall; legendary actress Farrah Fawcett died from rectal cancer; and leaders of Ukraine and Georgia appealed to the West with war scares of possible Russian attack. 2009 (Part Two)

NOTE: Two predictions on this page, "Israel Bombs Bushehr Nuclear Reactor" and "Turkey Launches Surprise Attack Against Cyprus," remain on the brink and may achieve fulfillment in 2012. In addition, a prediction on this page concerning the overthrow and death of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was largely fulfilled 16 months later than projected. His "death" continues to play out as he is is tried by his people for countless murders and faces a likely execution by hanging.

Despite the fact that a large part of this page was devoted to a blow-by-blow series of predictions concerning a global war that never happened, each one rating a zero, the overall accuracy rate for all five pages, along with the celebrity deaths/mishaps of the year, is still 55.8% ... an estimate that may go up significantly higher.

This was a year when dust storms were seen all over the globe at various times in Australia, Kuwait, China, and elsewhere, turning day into an eerie red or orange night; Pope Benedict XVI and Cardinal Roger Etchegaray were attacked during Christmas Mass, with the cardinal injured, and another plot to kill the pope unraveled just in time involving six Algerian terrorists; death threats and letter bombs targeted French President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni following an attempted assassination in Israel; an ebola outbreak in Congo spread to Angola, Brazil, and even the US state of Colorado; pop star Madonna was stalked by a crazed fan named Robert Linhart who was carrying an ice pick and a knife when he was arrested; the United Nations assembly walked out during a speech by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, followed by European protests against the Iranian regime; Prince Charles and Lady Camilla were attacked by a mob; hundreds were injured by a powerful quake in Iran while thousands panicked in Venezuala during a 6.4 shocker; the ice shelf began breaking off from Antarctica, fragments heading towards South American waters; an 8.8 temblor struck southern Chile causing a deadly tsunami in the region; and the forerunner protests in the US of what is now a long-term, nationwide movement began. NOTE: I had long prepared the viewer for the possibility that a Third World War might be averted in 2009 or a ceasefire implemented by August 2009, ending it before it truly turned global. This was because another more dangerous period for world war loomed ahead in 2012-13. As a result, two additional pages were created for 2009 in the event there was to be no world war. This is the first of the two.

2008 (Part One)

A Memorial to 2007: A Memorial to 2007 -- a year when deadly clashes in Lebanon became a month-long civil war; the US launched massive air strikes on targets in Somalia; a freak Nor'easter brought a 100-year flood to metro NYC, NYS, NJ, CT and elsewhere on the eastern seaboard; pregnant serial killer Karla Homolka is refused treatment while in labour at hospital and chased out of Canada; actors Evangeline Lilly, Suzanne Somers, Jane Seymour, Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Madonna all had homes that were gutted by fire, Suzanne Somers only missing being burned to death by minutes; the Red Mosque in Pakistan is stormed by troops and set on fire, members of the religious cult inside are burned alive; severe flooding forced thousands of people to leave their homes across England and Wales; Sophie Wessex gave birth to her second child, a boy; and Pakistan's much-beloved Benazir Bhutto ignored my warning that she not return to her homeland in 2007 and, as a result, died tragically by an assassin's bullet. 2007 (Part Two)

A Memorial to 2007: a year when the worst flooding in the Missouri River system occurred since 1993; an 8.3 temblor rocked Japan, soon followed by two massive 6.8 quakes; we followed the trail of a new Jack the Ripper in Suffolk, England; and two major comets for the price of one ripped the sky, one even in daylight: Comet McNaught and Comet Holmes!

As the comets passed, so too did actress Anna Nicole Smith from an overdose of drugs, her death still a controversy. Also too (almost) did pop tart Britney Spears who went insane before our eyes, shaved her head, became violent, declared herself the antichrist, and attempted to hang herself with a bedsheet. Ruslana the Russian supermodel leaped from an eight-storey window to her death, and major South Korean actress Choi Jin-sil succeeded where Britney failed and hanged herself to death for reasons that remain a mystery ...

... yet only one major female celebrity was predicted to commit suicide. More ...
