Bashar Al-Assad: Alus Sanguinaire

PROPHECY

Jeremiah 49:22-28 ~

Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah [SW Syria]: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom [S. Jordan and NW Saudi Arabia] be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

Concerning Damascus. Hamath [N. Syria] is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.

How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!

Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.

And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.

Origen of Alexandria
(approx. 185 to 254 AD) ~

When the close of the times draws nigh, a great prophet shall be sent from God to turn men to the knowledge of God, and he shall receive the power of doing wonderful things. Wherever men shall not hear him, he will shut up the heavens, and cause it to withhold its rains; he will turn their water into blood; and torment them with thirst and hunger; and if any one shall endeavor to injure him fire shall come forth out of his mouth, and shall burn that man.

By these prodigies and powers he shall turn many to the worship of God; and when his works shall be accomplished, another king shall arise out of Syria, born from an evil spirit, the overthrower and destroyer of the human race, who shall destroy that which is left by the former evil, together with himself....

But that king will not only disgrace himself, but will also be a prophet of lies; and he will constitute and call himself God; and power will be given him to do signs and wonders, by the sight of which he may entice men to adore him. He will command fire to come down from heaven, and the sun to stand and leave its course, and an image to speak, and these things shall be done at his words--by which miracles many even of the wise shall be enticed by him.

Then he will attempt to destroy the temple of God, and persecute the righteous people; and there will be distress and tribulation, such as there never has been from the beginning of the world. Power will be given him to desolate the whole earth for forty-two months. That will be the time in which righteousness will be cast out, and innocence be hated; in which the wicked shall prey upon the good as enemies; neither law, nor order, nor military discipline be preserved.

ISLAMIC PROPHECY

Introduction to The Sufyani

Among the signs preceding Imam Mahdi, is the appearance of the Sufyani. The Sufyani will emerge from the depths of Damascus before the appearance of Imam Mahdi (the Muslim messiah).

The term "Sufyani" is a term referring to his descent from the progeny of Abu Sufyaan. The Ahadith regarding the Sufyani specify that he is a tyrant who will spread corruption and mischief on the earth before Imam Mahdi (appears). He will be such a tyrant that he will kill the children and rip out the bellies of women. The Sufyani will murder those from the household of the Prophet and will rule over Syria. When he hears about the Mahdi, he will send an army to seize and kill him. However the earth will swallow this army before it even reaches Imam Mahdi ...

The Sufyani will murder the Saadaat and will rule over Egypt and Shaam (Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria).

Revolution in Syria: The Sufyani Takes Control of the Government by Force

In revolt, a Sufyani, who descends from Abu Sufyaan, and whose mother is from the tribe of Kalb (Syria and western Iraq), will come with 360 riders until he reaches Damascus. Then he will emerge, overrunning and seizing control of Syria. He will have 3 staffs in his hand, and anyone whom he strikes with them will die. After a month the tribe of Kalb will also follow him.

Conquest in Iraq

The Sufyani will then send an army to Iraq, killing 100,000 in Az-Zawra, and also will receive the support of the Roman forces (probably America). The Sufyani and his forces will go to Kufa and pillage it, killing the descendants of the Prophet and to the point where he kills children and rips open women. In retaliation the tribe of Qays will rise up against him, but they will be defeated, and he will slaughter them in Kurkisa.

The Sufyani's army will go to Kufa; a city in Iraq, and from there he will launch an attack against the people of Khurasan. At the Gate of Istakhr, Shuayb bin Salih and the Hashimite under the black banners, will join forces and engage the army of the Sufyani. The battle will be extremely fierce with a tremendous loss of life and the army of the Sufyani will suffer a temporary defeat. It is at this time that a yearning for the Mahdi's appearance is on the lips of everyone.

THE WAR OF ALUS

Nostradamus, Quatrain 6.33 ~

His last hand through the bloody Alus, cannot by the sea to guarantee: Between two rivers, dreading the military hand, black will be the angry repentance.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad

Nostradamus, Quatrain 6.33 ~

His last hand through the bloody Alus, his protection by sea will not be guaranteed: Between two rivers, dreading the military hand, the black and angry one will make him repent.

This will mark the beginning of massive conflict in the Middle East.

It is growing more probable each day that the opening stage of "World War III in the Middle East" will be the "War of Alus," prophesied by Nostradamus in Quatrain 6.33 ... a conflict foreseen by the Biblical prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah that will reaching terrifying proportions with the nuclear destruction of Damascus and other Syrian cities. A regional war that will become much farther-reaching than Syria and its closest neighbours, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey, and Iraq. Given the truly bloody nature of Assad's crackdown on his people, now openly defying his government in popular demonstrations since March 2011, and his brutal actions moving into Syria's border with Turkey, angering and inciting Ankara, it is more than likely that Alus sanguinaire is indeed Syrian president Bashar al-Assad (AL-ASsad).

Of course, in spite of what is now occurring with Turkey, it is just as possible that Syria will instead provoke a war with Israel or vice versa. Clashes occurred on May 16, 2011, on the Israeli-Syrian border between Israeli soldiers and Syrian "protesters" joining in a Palestinian "day of rage" remembering 1948. This occurred again on June 6 on the anniversary of the Israeli annexation of the Golan Heights during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. Many believe both was a cynical attempt by Assad to distract attention away from his crackdown on the Syrian people protesting his regime. Over the years, Damascus has been stockpiling the deadly VX nerve agent and has armed its many missiles with chemical warheads. Assad has recently warned he would destroy Tel Aviv with his missiles, and aid Hezbollah in raining down thousands of rockets and missiles on northern Israel, if Nato launches an attack on Syria. A "grand" war of all wars in the Middle East would probably then begin as an Arab-Israeli conflict.

And then there's the Kurds of northern Iraq. Iraq's minority Kurds, 30 million strong, many of whom are affiliated with the KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party), have the full support of Washington. Their ultimate ambition is to transform their enclave into a full-blown independent Kurdistan. Teheran, Ankara, Damascus, and Baghdad too, are all dead set against the emergence of a separate Kurdish state and have been known to set aside their differences to prevent such an outcome. At the moment Turkey has serious differences with Syria, and also has serious differences with Iran, and both Turkey and Iran have serious differences with the Talabani government in Iraq. Meantime Israel represents a close military threat to Syria and a longer-range threat to Iran. But to Turkey, Syria, and Iran the Israelis, along with the United States, could become a threat of a different kind if they ally with the Kurds.

There is an old saying in the Arab world that goes "the enemy of enemy is my friend." But in the convoluted chain of events that are now occurring in the region, this maxim may cease to have meaning in a free-for-all war where allies can become friends one day and adversaries the next depending on which way the wind blows.

Thus, I have never indicated that this "War of Alus" would be an easy conflict to explain.

Irregardless of whether the firing shot is between Syria and Turkey or Syria and Israel, somehow IRAQ in the main, central and southern as well as northern, becomes involved since it is clearly the nation found "between two rivers."

No matter how the "War of Alus" begins, its end will be found not only in Syria itself, but also in Iraq. Thus, the US military in and arround Iraq may well be pulled into the conflict, pinned down as it will be fighting the Iranian-backed southern Iraqi Shi'a, currently under the leadership of Muqtada al-Sadr, on the one hand, and the terrorists led by Iraqi al-Qaeda leader Abu Ayyub al-Masri on the other.

In Quatrain 6.33, Nostradamus describes one of three very troubling scenarios: either 1) the US military in Iraq, 2) a strong Shi'a leader from Iraq (al-Sadr?) with the support of Iran, or 3) an Israeli leader, finally defeats or destroys someone identified as "Alus" or "bloody Alus" with their "last hand" (meaning a final last-ditch effort). One can well imagine the "last hand" of Israel being the infamous Samson Option. Then again, it could be part of America's "last gasp" in the Middle East according to several other European prophets. The Seer of Waldviertel, Alois Irlmaier, Erna Stieglitz, and others predict that the US will be defeated in Saudi Arabia and the oil fields of the Persian Gulf: but perhaps not before the destruction of Alus sanguinaire by the "last hand" of the US military.

If this is now or soon, then "Alus" is very likely to be President Bashar al-Assad of Syria.

Nostradamus, Quatrain 8.70 ~

He will enter villainous, unpleasant, infamous tyrannising over Mesopotamia, All friends made by the adulterous woman, the land horrible, black of feature.

If the general or leader who defeats Alus/Assad is American, according to the same quatrain, he will be inadequately supported by US naval forces (and air forces based on aircraft carriers). Perhaps this will be due to naval attacks by Iranian and even Russian subs. In another quatrain, Nostradamus says a "great fleet will flounder in the Arabian Gulf." This "great fleet" may be America's. The fighting inside Iraq and against Syria will be quite bad since Iraq is described in Quatrain 8.70 as a "land horrible and black of feature." Without sea or air support, US ground forces in Iraq, Iran, and the oil fields of Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf, are finally overwhelmed. Then "the black and angry one" (Iraqi Shi'a leader Muqtada al-Sadr or Iranian spiritual leader Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) moves in and defeats and humbles the US, taking over Iraq, annexing it into a "greater Persia."

However, if this is a much later conflict, possibly post-World War III or early World War IV, the bloody monster who is killed in a final battle in Syria when war is in "the Byzantine Empire" (Turkey and other Balkans nations) may well be the one Islamic prophecy calls The Sufyani. It is literally the "last battle" or "last hand" of the war.

Potential candidates for this prophesied Western-backed usurper are Bashar's uncle, Rifaat al-Assad, Abdul Halim Khaddam, or an as-of-yet unknown Egyptian militant leader who will become the beneficiary of a reignited revolution in Egypt.

NEW PREDICTION: 11/17/11 -- Events are beginning to overtake this prediction set for June 2012. My last and only other attempt to date this event, for June 2010, proved to be a bit premature. Ivan M. and myself have been warning since April 2007 that Bashar al-Assad's uncle, Rifaat al-Assad, now 73, would soon overthrow his nephew and become the leader of a new Arab superstate, an empire, with its capital in Damascus. The elder Assad has been plotting the take-over of Syria for many years and will set out to do what Nasser failed to do ... through the most ruthless and horrific means imaginable. It has taken the Arab Spring revolts to finally bring about the conditions for this occur ... now it appears they have. Assad has announced publicly his intention to overthrow the Bashar al-Assad government and bring about peace to the Arab world.

To his followers he is a lifelong proponent for uniting Syria and Egypt into one state and is a staunch advocate of the Socialist Arab Baath Party. His vision, like Gamal Abdel Nasser's, is that of a unified Arab world as a single Arab nation. Assad has close ties with the PLO and the Saudi royal family. He also seeks to guarantee a lasting peace between Israel and all the Arab nations. Dr Rifaat al-Assad has received numerous achievement awards from the UK, France, the US, and other Western nations.

Yet this is a man who is believed to be responsible for the genocidal killings of up to 30,000 Syrians in 1982 in a two-day campaign that leveled the city of Hama. His bloody hands makes him one of the most hated and feared men in the Arab world. Indeed, it makes him an even better candidate than Bashar al-Assad to be the one Nostradamus calls "the bloody Alus."

Both Western and Eastern prophecy warn that the man who takes Damascus by force and leads a great Arab federation (league, coalition, union, empire, etc) will be a ruthless dictator the likes of which the world has never seen. Supported by the West, and a great friend to Israel, he will be seen by many as a peacemaker, but shall prove himself to be a bloodthirsty tyrant. To Islamic prophecy he will be the ultimate Arab dictator known as the Sufyani; but in certain Christian biblical prophecy circles it is believed he may be none other than the beast of Revelation.

Evidence of the latter is quite compelling, although I am not entirely convinced. Those who subscribe to a Syrian beast theory believe much of the Tribulation and the persecution of Christians will take place largely in the Middle East region, whereas I tend to view the beast as a world leader in control of most of the Western world and the afflictions he brings about as being worldwide.

The "Syrian beast" view holds that the prophecy concerning the beast of Revelation concerned "the world" that mattered most to St John: Israel and the surrounding regions, what we loosely call the Middle East and North Africa. Thus, it will be the Israelis, Turks, Kurds, and the Arabs ... and the Christians living in those regions and those luckless enough to be captured in war ... who will be forced to take the mark of the beast or else be beheaded. Beheading was once the most common form of execution in the Arab countries and remains so in Saudi Arabia. Add to that other items, such as the fact that the name Assad (which means "lion") was changed in the 1920s from the original family name of Wahash (which means "wild beast").

Nevertheless, if Rifaat al-Assad is not the beast he may be his forerunner. The Arab Sufyani, I believe, is a type or archetype of the biblical antichrist or beast. Muslims have given the name of Dajjal to what many might consider to be the actual biblical beast. This person will be an European Jew and will work miracles just like the false prophet. The difference is that the Dajjal reigns over the entire planet after the death of the beast-like Sufyani, whereas the false prophet and beast reign together at the same time. I would point out that this Dajjal seems to be more a fusion of the biblical false prophet and the beast ... a false prophet because he works miracles and magic, a beast because he is one-eyed and wooly-haired.

Turkey Declares War on Syria

Turkish troops cross into Syria

NEW PREDICTION: 6/21/10 -- The decision seems late, but Turkey's declaration of war against Syria in October 2012 is actually well-timed. In a blitzkrieg-style attack, Syrian cities near the Turkish border find themselves under occupation.

The US air war against Iran had turned into a quagmire in the Persian Gulf waters where the conflict had become almost exclusively a naval one. The missile war against Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and other aligned nations had largely ended in the spring, allowing those countries to enjoy a lull in fighting. Only Kurdistan had remained a battlefield all year, with the US putting most of its effort on the high seas. Now, however, things once again are heating up as Iran and Iraq, with Russian military support, begin a much more fierce campaign against the other Middle East nations as their allies Syria and Lebanon pave the way for an Iranian-Iraqi endgame with Israel.

Turkish intervention will be one blow to the threat posed by Syria. However, Turkey is fighting a war on two other fronts with Iran and Iraq as well.

Revolutions in Asia

NEW PREDICTION: 11/12/08 -- There is an alignment of nations from North Africa to East Asia that may seek to overthrow their repressive governments or dictatorships and bring about democratic change. There may be partial success, but I fear that overall these mostly peaceful demonstrations will be crushed by the leaderships or else lead to bloody insurrections and bloodier reprisals. These should run during the June/July 2010 period.

The nations most likely to be involved are: Libya, Egypt, Turkey, Georgia, Iran, Myanmar, Laos, and China.

AND NOW ... SYRIA
The Land of Alus sanguinaire

Rallies in Daraa intensified after five civilians were reportedly killed on the first day of protests [Reuters]

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whom we can now call "the second butcher of Hama," has revealed himself as Nostradamus' "bloody Alus" or Alus sanguinaire as I have predicted on my site for many years now. The death toll now stands at 2,417. His war, labeled by me long ago as "The War of Alus" appears to be in progress at this time. What was an extension of the Arab Spring demonstrations and peaceful revolutions has, unlike Libya which is now a civil war and an international war with Nato, become the worst state-sponsored slaughter of innocents since Saddam Hussein attacked the Shi'a and Kurds following the 1991 war and Rifaat al-Assad orchestrated the great atrocity of Hama in 1982.

"Bloody Alus": Bashar al-AssadSince June 2011, Assad has been pushing his tanks and troops near the Turkish border, attacking towns, slaughtering 2,417 people thus far at last count, and driving thousands more as refugees into Turkey.

Turkey has repeatedly warned Assad that it will go to war with Syria if the military assaults do not cease. In addition, Nato and the US have warned Assad he faces a possible war, with Nato member Turkey leading the charge. Iran has made threats of its own against Turkey, Nato, and the United States if such military action is taken.

Russia has stopped short of threats, but has condemned any US-Turkish military intervention in Syria. Even Iraq has threatened to get into the conflict and that, along with Turkish, Iranian, and US involvement, would be the final ingredient I have long ago warned would constitute "The War of Alus" ...and Israel need not even be involved (although I suspect over time it will get sucked in, one way or another).

We may now be on the eve of such a war. My base 7 system indicated this would not happen until October 2012, but it could end up being a year early.

This war would in time become linked with other conflicts and operations now in progress such as Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan; and those yet to take place, such as a new Arab-Israeli conflict and a US-led war against Iran, a war that might possibly spread into Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

This would become the great Middle East war prophets such as Alois Irlmaier, the Seer of Krems, and Erna Stieglitz indicate will precede Moscow's military annexation of the former Warsaw Pact, Scandinavia, and the Balkans, followed by an Eastern/Russian blitzkrieg invasion of Germany, Austria, western Europe and World War III.
