NEW PREDICTION: 12/24/09, PRESENTATION POSTED: 5/5/10 -- This prediction is authenticated as genuine by the fact that it was posted in brief, as in the above title, back on the Second Home page on December 24, 2009, and then listed at the bottom of this page on January 29, 2010, where it has lurked ever since. I post this presentation even as record flooding swamps the state of Tennessee, so I can't afford to wait to post this prediction properly any longer. Despite the record flooding in Tennessee, however, I suspect the real deal will still not begin for another month or two. But we will see.
This prediction shall be posted twice: on this page at this location and on the 2011 Part Two page. The prediction is fairly simple: flooding from various causes will flood the entire Midwest beginning in July 2010, and continue to do so throughout the year and through to the summer of next year. CHRONIC FLOODWATERS will not recede, leading to a great watery divide when the Mississippi, Missouri, and other rivers overflow their banks and water spreads out for hundreds of miles in either direction, effectively splitting the mainland US into two from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico. Large ships and various seafaring and lake-faring vessels will actually be able to navigate the waters of the great Midwest Divide for a number of years.

NEW PREDICTION: 11/1/08 -- Statistically, hanging has replaced drugs overdose for female suicides and shooting for male suicides worldwide as method of death. The trend began to change in 2005 following the hanging suicide of South Korean actress Lee Eun-ju in February and is unlikely to change again until 2033. Even so, jumping from high hotel balconies, apartment windows, public buildings, cliffs, etc. has enjoyed a resurgence in 2008. If the victim is an actress it is highly likely she will be a faded star who was famous in the 1980s or early 1990s but if she is a singer she will be famous and popular. There is a 1-in-10 chance she will be both a singer and an actress.
There seems to be an alternating trend to this
timeline: every 7 years an actress or female singer commits
suicide, but every so often in between an actress or female
singer attempts suicide and fails. The chain of tragedy is nearly
unbroken as far as I can tell going all the way back to the
heroin overdose death of actress Barbara La Marr in 1926. The
first notable attempted suicide on this timeline was by
singer/actress Jeanette MacDonald in 1940. The only year when a
suicide or attempted suicide did not occur was 1947 ...
and that was the infamous year of the Black Dahlia Murder and
also the year soprano and actress Grace Moore died in a plane
crash.
In 1968 actress Virginia Maskell died of a drugs overdose and singer Tina Turner (not pictured) attempted suicide but failed. A doubling occurred again in 1982 when there were two actress suicides: Brenda Benet and Romy Schneider.
The last occurrences in
2003 was a "confessed" failed suicide attempt by
actress Brooke Shields and the mysterious death of actress Kellie
Waymire. The cause of her death has remained "hush hush"
and there has even been a rumour of a sudden heart attack, but
nothing official. Some have speculated this was a suicide that
was covered up. No one really knows. Because attempted suicides
are always followed by real ones on this line, the odds are a
whopping 92% that the next occurrence in 2010 will be a
successful suicide by a female celebrity. There is a 70% chance
it will be an actress and 30% chance it will be a singer.
If an actress, there is a 10% chance it will be an adolescent actress, a 20% chance it will be a little known actress, and a 70% chance it will be a famous but "faded" actress in her late 30s, 40s, or 50s. If it is an actress, there is also a strong chance she has already attempted suicide and failed in 2007 or 2008 (eg, Heather Locklear, drugs overdose, 2008). If a singer, there is a 100% chance she will be young, famous, and successful (eg, Britney Spears, hanging, March 2007).

South Korean Actress Jang Ja-yeon

She was reportedly discovered on Saturday evening (07Feb09) by her sister. The actress was believed to be suffering from depression. Yeon is the latest in a long line of Korean celebrities who have committed suicide in recent years. Actress Choi Jin-shil was found dead in October 2008, a month after Ahn Jae-hwan took his own life. Boys over Flowers' Actress Jang Found Dead in Apparent Suicide Korea Times - Tuesday, March 8, 2009 Rising actress Jang Ja-yeon, who was currently starring in the KBS 2TV hit drama ``Boys over Flowers,'' was found dead in an apparent suicide Saturday at her home in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province. Police said that the 26-year-old actress apparently hanged herself from a stairway railing and was discovered by her sister around 7:30 p.m. Jang was known to have had trouble with her current management agency renewing her contract. The actress had complained about the overwhelming stress to her sister during a phone call at 3:30 p.m. that day, saying she ``wants to die.'' According to police investigations, Jang also suffered from depression and had undergone medical treatment during the past year. About 10 years ago, Jang lost both of her parents in a car accident when she was in high school and had lived with her sister since. A will has yet to be found, but after her family's statements about the actress' ongoing struggle with depression, police are searching for further evidence of suicide and returned Jang's body to the bereaved family without performing an autopsy. Various stars, including the cast of Boys Over Flowers, are visiting the late actress' mortuary at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital to offer their condolences. Times 04-28-2009 18:14 Actress, Woo Seung-yeon, 25, was found dead in her home in Seoul in what appears to be a suicide, police said Monday. Woo apparently hanged herself in her room and was found dead by her roommate who notified police, according to the Seoul Songpa Police Station. She left a note stating she loved her family and she was sorry to leave them. She also sent a text message stating ``I'm sorry'' to her sister, who tried to reach her by phone, a police officer said. Woo debuted as a model for fashion magazines and appeared in minor roles in the movies ``Herb'' (2007) and ``Private Eye'' (2009). She was taking leave from the Department of French Language and Literature at Chung-Ang University. She was signed by the Oracle Entertainment agency two months ago and expected to broaden her acting career. Her agency said she was undergoing treatment for depression and spoke to her sister and friends about her failures at auditions. Police believe the depression might have driven her to the suicide. Talented young BBC actress found
hanged days after show's finale The Daily Mail 20th April 2009 A young actress has been found hanged after the long-running series in which she starred was cancelled. Stephanie Parker, 22, was discovered dead just two days after the last episode of BBC drama Belonging was broadcast. She had starred in the award-winning Welsh programme since she was 15, and also had roles in Casualty and The Bill. Her body was found by a member of the public on open ground near Pontypridd, South Wales, at 6am on Saturday. She had grown up in the town, and still lived there. Belonging, in which Miss Parker played Stacey Weaver, was axed after nine series to make way for a new BBC Wales flagship drama. A BBC spokesman described Miss Parker, who was single, as an 'immensely talented' young actress. Clare Hudson, BBC Wales' head of English language programmes, said: 'Everyone at BBC Wales - especially all those who worked on Belonging - is extremely saddened at the news of Stephanie's tragic death. "Stephanie's talent played a major part in making Belonging the success it was and I'm sure that the programme's fans will be shocked by this untimely news.' She added: 'Stephanie also worked with BBC Wales radio drama department on productions for Radio 4. 'Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this very difficult time.' Police say there were no suspicious circumstances and are speaking to Miss Parker's family, friends and colleagues about the events leading up to her death. An inquest has been opened into the death of a 22-year-old actress who had starred in the BBC Wales drama series Belonging. Stephanie McMaster, who was known as Stephanie Parker, was found dead on open ground at Pontypridd on Saturday. She played Stacey Weaver in the long running dram whose final episode was broadcast just two days before. Pontypridd Coroner Peter Maddox adjourned the inquest to allow further inquiries into her death. The hearing at Merthyr Magistrates Court was told Miss Parker was found hanging from a tree about 200 yards from the Taff Trail in a field known as "the tump". Miss Parker's body was formally identified by her stepfather Andrew Parker, whose surname she adopted at an early age. COMMENTS (10/5/09): When at first I read about this Stephanie Parker, I could see only the "Bridgend suicides" connexion. Thus, I made note of it in a section dedicated to a prediction concerning mass suicide in an European country occurring in 2008 and 2009 (which has become an ever-growing list of Bridgend and other Welsh towns being linked by a rash of hangings began in late 2007), but balked at placing her obituary on here as well. A warning of things to come, I think, including the hanging suicide of British actress Lucy Gordon (see below) ... but apparently, this young actress was no small fry. Had much fame for a 22-year-old TV performer and very much potential for a great career ahead. But, for reasons only she would know, she snuffed it ...

Lucy Gordon, 28, who attended Oxford High School, made her screen debut in 2001 and appeared in around a dozen films, including Serendipity, starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. In one of her most recent roles, she played the 60s actress and singer Jane Birkin in a French biopic of singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg. Miss Gordon was found hanged from the ceiling of her mansion block apartment near the River Seine on Wednesday, two days before her 29th birthday. Reports in France claimed Miss Gordon had been deeply affected by the recent suicide of a friend in Britain. A local shopkeeper near her flat in Paris' fashionable 10th arrondissement claimed that Miss Gordon's boyfriend had burst into his shop on Wednesday morning calling for help. The pair ran upstairs in la Rue des Petites Ecuries to find that the young actress had hanged herself, while her boyfriend lay sleeping in the flat, he said. One local said: "She was an adorable girl. Two days ago, we were chatting over a drink. You think people are stable and then." Police in the French capital said her death was being treated as a suicide. One officer said: "It was an horrific scene, the young woman had taken her own life in terrible circumstances. We are not seeking anyone else. It was a clear case of suicide." The Oxford-born actress played television reporter Jennifer Dugan in the third installment of Spider-Man and had most recently acted in Brief Interviews With Hideous Men. Miss Gordon also worked as a model. She had been living in Paris for the last few years, having moved to the French capital from New York. Miss Gordon's parents, Richard, 60, and Susan, 58, paid tribute to their "lovely and generous" daughter. Mr Gordon appeared briefly at the front door of his home in Oxford to say: "The whole family is so proud of Lucy and we always have been. We have loved her so much throughout her life. She was the light of mine, her mum Sue's, and her sister Katie's lives. Lucy was a lovely, generous and unselfish person who always gave so much thought to other people and put them before herself. Acting was what she had always wanted to do. She had been acting since the age of two, which was really as soon as she could walk. Her career had been just taking off and it's a tragedy that it has been cut short so soon." Trailers from the French film Gainsbourg (vie héroique), which was due for release early next year, were presented at the Cannes film festival, which ends on Sunday. "(The film) owes a lot to the generosity, gentleness and immense talent of Lucy Gordon," said director Joann Sfar in a statement. A festival organiser said: "We are devastated by this news. All those attending the festival had been hugely impressed by Lucy's work. She was a star in the making." She also had a central role in a new French comedy, Cineman, due out this year, and played alongside Audrey Tautou – the star of Amélie – in Les Poupées Russes (The Russian Dolls), a romantic comedy. Felicity Lusk, the head of Oxford High School, where Miss Gordon studied for her A levels, said: "I remember Lucy very well because she was an extremely talented actress during all her school years. COMMENTS (6/9/09): Because I clearly stated and emphasised that the actress in question would actually hang herself, and even have a very large and vivid illustration above the prediction demonstrating an actress carrying out this method (one who looks oddly like Lucy Gordon with her hair tied up off her neck), I must declare this a PREDICTION FULFILLED a year early. I must also include the hangings of South Korean actresses Jang Ja-yeon and Woo Seung-yeon as at least partially contributing to the fulfillment of this prediction as well, especially since they both occurred only a month apart.
This makes a total of six successful South Korean actresses who have hanged themselves since Lee Eun-ju's suicide in February 2005. One would have to conclude that hanging is quickly becoming the dominate method of suicide (or potential "accidental death" due to autoerotic asphyxiation) not only in South Korea, but also in the West with the mysterious hangings of Lucy Gordon and David Carradine (who, at this writing, are both big news items).
Time will tell, but I suspect we may see more and more famous Western celebrities, as well those rising or fading, dangling from the end of a noose between now and July 2010 ... and quite possibly beyond.

Daul, who was an accomplished painter and videographer, recently confessed to feeling exhausted by her hectic work schedule. In an Oct. 30 entry on her blog, Kim wrote she was "mad depressed and overworked," and in another entry said "the more i gain the more lonely it is ... i know i'm like a ghost." Some in the fashion industry speculate that the pressures of the super-competitive modeling world got to Daul. Eating disorders and substance abuse are common in the youth- and perfection-obsessed industry. In June 2008, 20-year-old Russian model Ruslana Korshunova jumped to her death from her Manhattan apartment building on a gorgeous, sunny Saturday afternoon. The stunning 5-foot-8 Ruslana had been featured in ads for DKNY, Vera Wang and Christian Dior and was hailed as "the next big thing" in a profile in Vogue magazine three years earlier. Daul, who was a fixture on the runways of New York, Paris, London and Milan, has modeled for Chanel, Dries van Noten, Peter Pilotto and Christopher Kane. Kim's distraught mom is on her way to Paris to collect her daughter's dead body. And in a final comment on November 18, she posted an entry entitled "Say hi to forever" accompanied by a video of the song I Go Deep by British singer Jim Rivers. One internet link redirects to a website on Joy Division, whose lead singer Ian Curtis hanged himself in 1980.
French commentators pointed to the parallels between her death and that of Lucy Gordon, 28, the British model-turned-actress who hanged herself in May. Like Gordon, who featured in Spider Man 3 and stars as Jane Birkin in an forthcoming film, she was found by a friend in a flat in the trendy 10th arrondissement of Paris.

COMMENTS (11/22/09): Make that seven South Korean actresses since February 2005 (or a supermodel as famous in the West as in the East in this case). Comparisons are being made between Daul Kim's hanging and Lucy Gordon's in the media. 2009 is not yet over and already this prediction has reached PREDICTION OVERKILL ... and the prediction was intended for July 2010. At this rate, I can only conclude that things have occurred a year early or else all these deaths prefigure that of a super-actress, a major icon of film, or else a major female pop singer, who will hang herself in a spectacular suicide next year. Are there clues to be found in the hanging deaths of those discussed above?

model’s suicide Hindustan Times Mumbai, June 27, 2010 As news of former top model Viveka Babajee’s death sinks in, the fashion industry is still reeling from shock. On the night that she took her life in her Bandra apartment, most people refused to answer calls. Those who did, hadn’t heard the tragic news yet. “I can’t believe it,” said designer Nikasha Tawadey. “I am designing the wedding garment of one of her close friends which is happening in July. She was supposed to be there.” Delhi-based make-up artiste Ambika Pillai revealed that the industry was waiting for Babajee’s mother and sister to fly down from Mauritius so that plans for a funeral or memorial service could be finalised. She said,“We may fly down to Mumbai, but nothing will happen before her mother gets here.” Babajee’s suicide note mentioned a Gautam Vora who is currently being questionned on his involvement by the police. While clues point to a bad relationship, industry insiders believe that a failed business could have also played a hand. Babajee was the director of an event management company called Vibgyor Entertainment. Model and actor Aryan Vaid revealed, “A couple of days ago, she mentioned on Facebook that she wasn’t working with her event management company anymore. Sometimes, when your career isn’t doing well and your personal life is a mess, it all seems hopeless.” Choreographer and Babajee’s contemporary, Marc Robinson, received the news while out of the country. “Poor poor girl. It’s such a waste of a life,” he opined. Photographer Atul Kasbekar was the lensman behind the Kamasutra ad that catapulted Babajee to instant fame. “I did her first campaign when she came to India from Mauritius. I remember thinking she was stunning,” he recalled, adding, “I’m just as shocked as everybody else. Then, the choice of model for the ad was clear. She was in a field of one.” Kasbekar added, “Everybody thought she was doing very well for herself. People on the outside think this is a glamourous life. But one day, the phone will stop ringing and the work will dry up. It’s a stressful life.” Former Miss India Anna Bredmeyer was a close friend of Babajee and revealed, “I’ve known her since she first got into the business. She was the nicest person. Another Model Down: Viveka Babajee Commits Suicide The Cut 6/25/10 at 7:02 PM Bollywood actress and Indian model Viveka Babajee, 37, was found dead today, Thaindian News reports. She allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her suburban Mumbai apartment. According to The Calcutta Telegraph, the former Miss Mauritius titleholder and one-time face of Coca-Cola and Kama Sutra ads in India, suffered from severe depression. Babajee's death adds to an ever-growing list of recent model suicides, loaning credence to what Jezebel contributor and ex-model Jenna Sauers posited last month: "Suicidal models are fashion's worst trend." Indeed, in the past two years, a hauntingly high number of models have taken their own lives. There was 20-year-old Korean superstar Daul Kim, of course, who stalked down runways for Alexander McQueen and Chanel before hanging herself in her Paris apartment last November. French model Noémie Lenoir tried to kill herself in May; and last Friday, one day before the men's fashion shows kicked off, 22-year-old French model Tom Nicon plunged from his apartment in Milan, in what authorities suspect was a suicide. COMMENTS (7/4/10): As can be seen above, the hanging suicide of supermodel Daul Kim brought the second 1-to-100 scale only to 75% and not 100% ... because she was a model and not an actress or singer (the singer suicide aspect of the prediction has been made into a seperate prediction with its own vector below). However, her status as international supermodel and her method of suicide (hanging was the predicted method) placed her suicide as high as it did on the second scale.
The failed suicide attempt by drugs overdose (and not hanging) of international supermodel Noemie Lenoir, the suicide jumping (and not hanging) of Colombian TV presenter Lina Marulanda, and the hanging death of South Asian supermodel Viveka Babajee contributed in bringing the second metre up 25 points from 75% to 100%.

Natasha Padbidri was found hanging from the ceiling fan, police officials said. She was clinically depressed and was seeking treatment for her condition. Natasha's death comes weeks after former supermodel Viveka Babajee's suicide, under similar conditions, at her Bandra flat. Natasha's family owns two flats at Pelikan building- she stayed alone in a fifth-floor flat while her parents and brothers lived in a flat on the ground floor. "She had walked the ramp for fashion shows nearly 8-9 years ago. Lately, she didn't have any modelling assignments,'' a senior police official said. "Natasha's family told our officers that they had dinner together on Saturday night in the ground-floor flat, following which she went back to her own apartment. On Sunday morning, Natasha's mother tried calling her on her cellphone to come down for breakfast. But the calls were not answered,'' the official said. Around noon, Natasha's mother and two brothers then went to her flat and knocked on the door. But there was no response. Her family then summoned a duplicate key maker and opened the door and found Natasha hanging from the ceiling fan in her bedroom. They rushed her to Cooper Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. "No suicide note has been recovered. We do not suspect foul play. Prima facie, it appears that depression drove her to take the drastic step,'' the official added. "We are exploring all possibilities like professional failure, financial trouble or relationship problems.'' When Natasha was much younger and a student of Khalsa college in Matunga, she had met with a serious accident and injured her leg, for which she had to be hospitalised. Beverly Hills judge Marsha Revel declared the 24-year-old starlet in violation of probation for her 2007 DUI conviction for failing to attend court-ordered alcohol education classes. Revel sentenced Lohan to 90 days in jail followed by 90 days in-patient rehab. Following Revel's ruling, Lohan broke down sobbing, barely sputtering a "yes" when Revel asked if she understood and accepted the terms of her probation. Revel ordered Lohan to surrender on July 20 at 8:30 a.m. PT. According to Steve Whitmore, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department, Lohan will serve her time at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California and will be segregated from the general jail population. Lohan may only end up serving a few weeks of her 90 day jail sentence -- Whitmore noted that "female, non-violent prisoners will do about 25-percent of their sentence" because L.A. jails suffer from "an overcrowding sitution." After the hearing, Lisa Bloom, the attorney for Lohan's estranged father, Michael, said that if the starlet had followed their advice and gone to rehab, she might not be facing jail time now. Michael Lohan has long maintained that his daughter is addicted to prescription drugs. "If she had gone to rehab anytime over the last several months, when we were begging her to go to rehab, she could have avoided all of this," Bloom said. "Where she belongs is rehab. Rodney Alcala, 66, known as the dating-game killer because he once appeared on an American version of TV show Perfect Match, was found guilty last week of five murders in Los Angeles. The photographer, who has an IQ of more than 160, killed schoolgirl Robin Samsoe, 12, in 1979, and four women whose deaths had remained unsolved for decades. But police believe Alcala, who has been in custody since 1979 and has twice had previous convictions overturned, could be responsible for dozens more deaths in New York and LA in the '70s. A court in Orange County, California, heard that the bodies of two of his victims had been posed nude and possibly photographed after their deaths. One victim was attacked with a claw hammer. Others were repeatedly strangled and resuscitated to prolong their agony before they were killed. Alcala, who is likely to be sentenced to death for each of the five killings, represented himself in a bizarre court performance on Thursday when he posed questions and then answered them himself. During the six-week trial he showed the jury a video of his appearance on an episode of The Dating Game in 1978. He was successful in being picked by a woman for a date. Police alleged that Robin Samsoe's earrings had been found in his possession but Alcala said they were his. He claimed the video showed him wearing the earrings on the dating show, filmed a year before Robin's death. Last month, Alcala, dubbed "the new Ted Bundy" after the notorious serial killer of the 1970s and 80s, was convicted of the murders of four women and a 12-year-old girl in the 1970s. The jury recommended he face the death penalty. The 66-year-old, who has a genius IQ of more than 160, was found guilty of what were described as five of the "most disturbing killings ever seen". Prosecutors say Alcala used his camera to gain the trust of young women and have been examining hundreds of photographs he took before his first arrest in 1979. The photos feature women and girls in candid and posed shots and some 900 were not released because they were considered too sexually graphic. Most of the dozens of subjects in the photos have never been identified and now police have asked for the public's help in figuring out who the women are. The women who have been identified live in several states and one has told police she was molested by Alcala. The statute of limitations to press charges has expired. Police in Huntington Beach, California, say so far there have been no reports that anyone in the photos was reported missing. Prosecutor Matt Murphy said: "We'd like to locate the women in these pictures. Did they simply pose for a serial killer, or did they become victims of his sadistic, murderous pattern?" Some photos show women posing in remote settings similar to the spot where 12-year-old Robin Samsoe's body was found in 1979. Alcala was sentenced to death twice before for Robin's murder but those verdicts were overturned on appeal. Prosecutors re-filed charges in that case and added the four other murders in 2006 after investigators linked them to Alcala using DNA samples and other forensic evidence. Those cases, which had gone unsolved for decades, went on trial for the first time this year. Jurors took just an hour to return the death recommendation after a six-week trial in which Alcala represented himself and took the stand in his own defence. Orange County prosecutors said the release of Alcala’s photos generated tips about seven potential victims in Seattle, two from New Hampshire, one from Phoenix and one from Orange County. In Seattle, King County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart said today that his office has been told by a tipster that one of the photos taken away from Alcala looks like Cherry Greenman, who was last seen leaving a jail in 1976. King County investigators are waiting for a better copy of the photo from Huntington Beach police so they can show it to Greenman’s family, Urquhart said.
“By all means, we started going through our old cold cases as did the sheriff’s department (in King County), but at this point there’s nothing definitive,” Jamieson said. “Out of all the cold cases we have, these two fit the profile.” |
COMMENTS (3/27/10): Frightening how correct this prediction is ... a serial killer and rapist on trial for the murders of four women and a 12-year-old girl is now believed to be responsible for 30 unsolved murders in the 1970s, seven of them from the Seattle area. It apears police have had another Ted Bundy in custody and never knew it. The only thing wrong with this prediction is that the unsolved murders and abductions go back thirty years and do not include cold cases from 2007, 2008, or 2009. Thus it is only 75% FULFILLED. Perhaps the more recent cold cases of strangled coeds will be solved soon: at least four of them are quite similar and could have been killed by the same person.

Kari Pugh Prince William County, Va. - The man who killed Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington likely has strong ties to both Charlottesville and Northern Virginia, where he attacked another woman in 2005. "He has some nexus," retired FBI profiler Gregg McCrary said in a recent phone interview. "He strikes where he is comfortable, in his own territory." Virginia State Police announced earlier this month that they'd found a definite forensic link between the October 2009 disappearance and death of 20-year-old Morgan Harrington and the September 2005 abduction and sexual assault of a 26-year-old woman in Fairfax city, not far from George Mason University. Investigators won't say what that link is, but Harrington's parents have said it was a DNA database hit. State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said the Virginia Department of Forensics made the connection, and the information is now being compared in databases across the nation. Police so far have not tied the man to any other crimes, or stumbled upon his identity in any state or national offender databases. But McCrary, a Spotsylvania County resident who has worked on hundreds of serial murder cases, said the two attacks are not the killer's only offenses. "It's hard for me to imagine that he hasn't tried this before," he said. "There have been unsuccessful attempts in both Northern Virginia and the Charlottesville areas. Chances are, there are unreported cases, victims." Do you know this man? State police admit they took a risk by putting out a composite sketch of the man. It was created in 2005, based on the memory of the victim in the Fairfax city attack. "Composites cut both ways," McCrary said. "If it looks a lot like the guy, it could be helpful. If it doesn't, it can be a distraction. You're dealing with witness recollections in a traumatic situation." Attack in Fairfax The Sept. 24, 2005, attack in Fairfax caused a wave of panic in the neighborhoods surrounding George Mason University. The victim was walking home from a Giant Food grocery store on Jermantown Road about 10 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind. The attacker carried her to a park area off Rock Garden Drive, where he sexually assaulted her. He then let her go and ran toward Fairhaven Court. The victim described her attacker as black, 25 to 35 years old, about 6 feet tall with black hair, a beard and a mustache. The victim tried to fight him off, telling detectives she'd left scratches on his face. Charlottesville Morgan Harrington disappeared on Oct. 17, 2009, during a Metallica concert at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Despite a massive search and national media attention, her body wasn't found until Jan. 26, 2010, when a farmer discovered her skeletal remains on his 700-acre property in Albemarle County. In February, state police investigators said they were convinced that the killer worked or lived near the farm in southern Albemarle County, and that the area had some significance to him emotionally. In a news release, state police stated that the man they were looking for "may have been inclined to return to the farm during a period of increased stress." McCrary said dumping Harrington's body on a remote farm was risky, as was grabbing a woman on a well-traveled path in Fairfax, showing he was confident and knew both areas well. But who is he? Is he a student who has attended both U.Va. and GMU? Did he grow up in Charlottesville? Does he have relatives he visits in Northern Virginia? Is he a roadie who works concert venues? There was a Googoosh show at the nearby George Mason Patriot Center the night of the 2005 attack. "There are so many scenarios possible, and we are looking at them all," Geller said. "We are hoping somebody out there looks at the composite and there's some recognition. Maybe the facial hair has changed, maybe the hairline or even the hairstyle has changed. But look at the eyes, the facial structure." Geller said police have received close to 80 tips since releasing the composite earlier this month.She said investigators are in the process of vetting those leads, and working with Fairfax city police to identify a killer—before he strikes again. He's still out there McCrary said, and state police agree, that the man's pattern shows an escalation in his crimes. "He will most certainly strike again," McCrary said. "Your chance of crossing paths with this guy is slim, but I'd tell women to be vigilant. Use reasonable care, stay with your friends if you're out at a concert." For state police, "that pressure exists to find this person," Geller said. "There is a pattern developing, and we need to prevent it from happening again," she said. She said investigators are convinced that someone out there has the missing piece to the puzzle, whether they know it or not. "For people who think, 'I might have seen this person,' you might discount it. But we might have two other people who saw the same thing. Call us, e-mail us and let us see if the piece fits." |

Search continues for serial rapistWednesday, 23 Jun 2010, 8:31 AM EDT By Shannon Butler ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The attacker has guts, little fear of the cops and total disregard for women, according to investigators. They say he busts into their homes while their asleep and rapes them. Orange county detectives are looking for a serial rapist. The rapist wears a mask and gloves and has been on the run for more than a year. Detectives say there is no way to identify him by face, and no fingerprints left behind. He breaks into the homes by kicking in doors even trying windows. He ties up his victims and then slips out the door. His targets, so far, are women who are alone in their apartments. Two women are students at the University of Central Florida and another victim is affiliated with the school. Detectives say he doesn't stalk them, but they are not sure how he picks his victims. The first rape was in May of 2009 at the Fountains Apartments off of Alafaya Trail. The second occurred in February of this year at Heather Glen Apartments close to UCF. The third attack happened this past Saturday at the Waterside Apartments. All of the locations are just a few miles apart. He is described as a having dark skin, possibly in his late 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. |

NEW PREDICTION: 11/14/08 -- Currently, astronomers are having a field day as they watch what appear to be Saturn's version of the "northern lights" radiating outwards from the ringed planet. It is the most significant "first" regarding Saturn since it was photographed by Voyager 1 in 1980 and Voyager 2 in 1981. We may expect to at least see something of this nature occur on the planet Neptune in August 2010. What it will be I cannot say, but it may be quite spectacular.

researchers find CSMonitor.com July 21, 2010 Researchers studying Neptune's atmosphere found evidence that a comet may have hit the planet about two centuries ago. Was this a "cold-case" file re-opened, or did they discover a way to travel back in time to witness a long-ago event? To make the discovery, a team from the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research actually used the Herschel Space Telescope's PACS (Photodetector Array Camera and Spectrometer) instrument, along with what was learned from observations from when the Shoemaker-Levy 9 hit Jupiter sixteen years ago. The 1994 impact on Jupiter was watched and documented by Voyager 2, Galileo and Ulysses,and today this data helps scientists detect cometary impacts that happened many, many years ago. In fact, just in February of this year, scientists from Max Planck discovered strong evidence for a comet impact on Saturn about 230 years ago. These "dirty snowballs" leave traces of water, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocyanic acid, and carbon sulfide in the atmosphere of the gas giant planets. These molecules can be detected in the radiation the planet radiates into space. So, the team turned their attention to Neptune, and used the PACS to analyze the long-wave infrared radiation of Neptune. The atmosphere of Neptune mainly consists of hydrogen and helium with traces of water, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. However, the scientists detected an unusual distribution of carbon monoxide in the stratosphere, the upper layer of the atmosphere, and found a higher concentration than in the layer beneath, the troposphere. "The higher concentration of carbon monoxide in the stratosphere can only be explained by an external origin," said MPS-scientist Paul Hartogh, principle investigator of the Herschel science program. "Normally, the concentrations of carbon monoxide in troposphere and stratosphere should be the same or decrease with increasing height," he said. Another theory suggested that a constant flux of tiny dust particles from space introduces carbon monoxide into Neptune’s atmosphere. However, the newest observations from PACS does not lend credence to that idea, and the team concluded the only explanation for these results is a cometary impact. Such a collision forces the comet to fall apart while the carbon monoxide trapped in the comet’s ice is released and over the years distributed throughout the stratosphere. "From the distribution of carbon monoxide we can therefore derive the approximate time, when the impact took place," said Thibault Cavalié from MPS, which showed the impact was about 200 years ago. PACS was developed at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, and it analyzes the long-wave infrared radiation, also known as heat radiation, that the cold bodies in space such as Neptune emit. |

(CNN) -- Six people were killed and 14 wounded in a shooting incident in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, Monday morning, the state news agency TASR reported, citing an emergency services representative. The shooter is "reportedly" among the dead, TASR said without citing a source. Police spokeswoman Petra Kraskova said the police were not releasing any information yet, the agency said. The Ministry of the Interior and the police are due to hold a press conference at 2:30 local time (8:30 a.m. ET), the Interior Ministry told CNN. Bus service has been disrupted as a result, the agency said, citing transport offical Peter Kavecky. The dead included four women and two men, said Dominika Sulkova of the emergency services. The shooting took place in the Bratislava neighborhood of Devinska Nova Ves, TASR reported.

NEW PREDICTION: 7/11/10 -- The alternative future counterpart to this prediction appears on 2010 (Part Two) where a Russian detonated EMP knocks out the electricity to the entire east coast of the United States. One may now hope this will not happen, but who can say if Israel and the US decide to attack Iran? Iran even brags it has one nuclear warhead on a long-range missile capable of causing a massive EMP over the United States.
This prediction, however, is about yet another failure of the power grid, similar to what occurred in NYC in 1965 and 1977, and much of the US Northeast in 2003. How bad it will be is difficult to say ... NYC again, another major east coast city such as Washington DC, the northeastern US again, or maybe the entire east coast. North Korea will cease to exist forever. China will cease to have any future as a superpower and shall become partitioned by its own people. 500 Year Floods Declared in New York, New Jersey, and Most of New England ... and Experts Say this is Only the Beginning!
COMMENTS (3/31/10): Last night it was reported on national news coverage of the New England floods that Rhode Island was experiencing its worst flood in history and that many parts of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut were experiencing flood records not seen in over 100 years. The Pawtuxet River in Rhode Island is predicted to crest this morning near 20 feet. Its previous record was 9 feet. Another record was set in Yantic, Connecticut, where the Yantic River crested yesterday at 13.6 feet, 4.6 feet above flood stage. Yet another record is expected for Saxonville, Massachusetts, where the Sudbury River is expected to reach 13.4 feet this afternoon. Flood stage is 10 feet.
The following quote may sum things up a bit ... for Rhode Island at least: "None of us alive have seen the flooding that we are experiencing now or going to experience," Rhode Island Gov. Don Carcieri said Tuesday night. "This is unprecedented in our state's history."
This is Round 2 for the Northeast in the same month (March), and more spring floods are possible in April. The storm damage and reports of twisters and tornadoes up and down the east coast, which are not pictured here, have only added to the flooding woes. Televised news footage also showed massive flooding inland and along the coasts of Long Island, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island from high tidal waves, in some instances waves reaching 14 feet in height.
We should remember that the timing for this prediction was September 2010 ... so this is either an early taste of what is to come, is premature by six months, or else things may get a whole lot worse by September. I consider this to be a PREDICTION PARTIALLY FULFILLED.

This potential event, strongly indicated by the base 7 system, failed to occur. The war in Gaza begun December 2008 by Israel was ended a month later in January 2009, averting what would have certainly become a wider conflict, a major Arab-Israeli war, and then the early stages of world war. This great Middle East conflict, as a result, has been postponed until January or March 2012.
Thus, rather than Monaco falling victim to revolutionaries led by a monster from the Pyrenees, in this much more accurate, alternative version of 2010 we see, instead, danger posed to either Princess Stephanie or Princess Caroline from a car crash in September 2010.

NEW PREDICTION: 11/14/08 -- The late John Paul II's great dream of uniting the Anglican Communion and the Catholic Church will finally be realised in October 2010. This will pave the way for the remaining Christian faiths to set aside their differences and deep-seated hostilities with one another and ultimately form a universal Christian faith. It will be this faith that the future emperor Chyren, if he comes, shall enforce and spread far and wide. How events play out in 2011 will determine if Chyren ever arrives after World War III is over or if the beast of Revelation will instead come to power.

Pope Benedict XVI approved the new structure with little warning to either his own church or the 77-million-strong Anglican Communion, which has been discussing closer ties to Rome. Vatican commentators saw the move as a blow to the Anglican Church. "For people who harbour the vision of Anglican unity, this will be a great disappointment," said Vatican analyst Francis X. Rocca, of the Religion News Service. "But it may also help to let off steam within the Anglican Church. If disaffected traditionalists leave, then they will lower the tensions over issues like gay marriage and women clergy." Caught off guard, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, the Anglican spiritual leader, downplayed the move and said it wasn't a Vatican commentary on Anglican problems. "It has no negative impact on the relations of the communion as a whole to the Roman Catholic Church as a whole," he said. The move, however, marks a significant effort to open the doors of the Catholic Church to Anglicans, who split with Rome in 1534.
Rev. Ray David Glenn, who leads a breakaway Anglican parish in Milton, called the move a reflection of disorganization in Anglicanism after years of conflict over same-sex marriage and gay clergy. The Catholic and Anglican churches of Canada did not return requests for comment. Harvey said while conservative Anglicans share many theological beliefs with Catholics – both oppose same-sex marriage and gay clergy, for instance – there are still many differences between the two. Anglicans, he said, would chafe at any notion of the infallibility of the Pope, and do not accept Catholic teachings about Mary's immaculate conception, her assumption body and soul into heaven or the transubstantiation of Christ.
Under the new plan, existing Catholic churches would be able to set up a church within a church, to be called personal ordinariate, where former Anglicans could worship under former Anglican priests. The priests, in turn, would be allowed to follow any Anglican traditions and teachings that don't clash with Catholic doctrine. Married priests could remain married, but could not become bishops. Harvey said that would make them "second-class priests" in the Catholic Church. The Vatican's top doctrinal official said the move was made because so many Anglicans seemed to want to become Catholic. "Those Anglicans who have approached the Holy See have made clear their desire for full, visible unity in the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic church," Cardinal William Joseph Levada said. "At the same time, they have told us of the importance of their Anglican traditions of spirituality and worship for their faith journey." Two years ago, former British prime minister Tony Blair, who appointed the currently liberal Archbishop of Canterbury to his post, made headlines by converting to Catholicism. Although Anglicans split with Rome when King Henry VIII was refused a marriage annulment, the 16th-century schism was, in fact, part of the Reformation that also saw the evolution of Lutheranism in Germanic countries. |

NEW PREDICTION: 11/11/08 -- Seattle was first, earlier in the year. This will be much, much worse. Parts of San Francisco will look like they were hit by a nuclear bomb when a magnitude 7+ or 8+ seismic shock tears through the city in October 2010. Jaws will drop as people watch the news coverage live on television during the aftermath of this apocalyptic disaster. To make matters worse there will be major fires ignited in several sections of the city. Still, the Los Angeles earthquake to come later will be beyond what the imagination can conceive.
COMMENTS (1/11/10): This is a RED ALERT. It would appear that the kind of seismic activity seen on the other side of the Pacific Rim since 2004 is now happening on this side. If so, the major quake predicted for California above in October 2010 may happen sooner than that ... (CNN) -- A string of earthquakes and aftershocks rattled the Pacific Coast of the United States and Mexico on Sunday, including a magnitude 7.2 quake that could be felt across Baja California, Arizona, and southern California, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. There were no immediate reports of injuries and only limited reports of damages from that quake, which struck northwestern Mexico's Baja California at 3:40 p.m. PT (6:40 p.m. ET) about 110 miles (175 kilometers) east-southeast of Tijuana, Mexico. Residents across southern California and Arizona reported serious ground shakes. "We have not felt a shake like that since about 1979," Michelle Tapia told CNN from Brawley, California. Joe Madison was shopping at a Wal-Mart in Palm Springs, California, when he felt the earthquake. "I felt the entire store move and people went running for the exits," he said. Madison said people gathered outside in the parking lot until the shaking stopped. "We felt it for about 30 seconds. It was rolling," San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Scott Ybarrondo told CNN. "Nothing fell off the walls here, but we have reports of pictures falling off walls elsewhere in the county." The largest Mexican city near the epicenter -- about 24 miles (55 kilometers) away -- is Guadelupe Victoria, with a population of about 14,800. The quake was the largest in the Baja California area since 1992, the USGS reported. There have been three large aftershocks so far, including one that registered a 5.5 magnitude, and other smaller temblors, USGS said. Chandeliers swung and water sloshed around in swimming pools in the Los Angeles suburbs, witnesses reported, while posters to Twitter reported feeling the quake in Phoenix, Arizona. Capt. Steve Ruda, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city fire department, said there were isolated power outages and a few people reported trapped in elevators, but no injuries or structural damage were reported. Nine minutes after the Mexico quake, a magnitude 4.1 quake rattled windows in Santa Rosa, north of San Francisco. No damage was reported there, and Susan Potter, a USGS geophysicist, told CNN that was a separate quake from the one that struck in the Baja California desert. The USGS initially reported that the Baja California quake had a 6.9 magnitude. The USGS upgraded the quake about an hour later. |
COMMENTS (4/5/10): This is being widely reported as an earthquake centered in Baja Mexico, but strongly felt in Los Angeles and San Diego. However, 9 minutes later another quake measuring 4.1 magnitude was felt north in San Francisco and Santa Rosa. Thus, this becomes yet a second RED ALERT for San Francisco of a major quake hitting that region around October 2010, if not earlier. This is the worst quake to strike southern California since the 1992 Landers Earthquake and Cape Mendocino Earthquake eighteen years ago. It was more powerful than the magnitude 6.7 Northridge quake in 1994, that left 57 dead, injured 9,000 and caused about $40 billion in property damage. It was also more powerful than the 6.9 Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1989, which caused 63 deaths, 3,757 injuries, and over $6 billion in damage. This temblor was not without casualties of its own: at least two are dead and 100 injured in Mexicali, Mexico.
This is the first significant RED ALERT for Los Angeles. Because it is also the second significant RED ALERT for San Francisco, this prediction already qualifies to be rated. I find it most unlikely that there will be 8 more red alerts like this one and the Eureka quake of January 10 between now and October 2010, let alone by December 31, 2011 (when nearly all adjacent predictions will have been resolved or failed), without a major quake striking the region. Thus, this prediction already has a preliminary rating of 0.2 or 20%.
A few hours ago ABC Television news reported that experts are warning residents on either side of the Mexico-California border, including cities spared yesterday such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, and San Francisco, that another very powerful earthquake is very possible during the next few days.

NEW PREDICTION: 8/13/10 -- Concern will grow around the world that an Israeli air strike in Syria in October 2010, possibly for Hezbollah missile strikes against northern Israeli cities or suicide bombings, could heighten already-strained tensions in the Middle East. This can be a limited action, a limited Arab-Israeli conflict like 1967 and 1973, or it can become the first shot of World War III in the Middle East. NEW PREDICTION: 11/17/08 -- Like most major supernovae in history (there have only been five since AD 1006), this extremely bright star will appear suddenly without warning. Visible to the naked eye in October 2010, this supernova will be brighter at its peak than any other star in the night sky, and all the planets, with an apparent magnitude of -6. It will be yet another weird portent in the sky heralding the eventual arrival of Planet X in December 2011-February 2012. Again, some will declare this brilliant blood-red star to be the biblical Wormwood or even Planet X, but it will not be either.
BETELGEUSE IN ORION READY TO EXPLODE SOON
The red giant Betelgeuse in the constellation Orion, which appears to be reaching the end of its lifespan, may soon experience a gigantic, catastrophic collapse as it switches from one element to another as nuclear-fusion fuel. "We do not know why the star is shrinking," said Berkeley astronomer Edward Wishnow. "Considering all that we know about galaxies and the distant universe, there are still lots of things we don't know about stars, including what happens as red giants near the ends of their lives."
At any time within the next few years it is believed the huge star will explode into a massive supernova, blasting newly created elements out into the universe and leaving behind a small, incredibly dense neutron star. Indeed, the star, which is 600 light-years away, may already have exploded — and we'll soon be in for a spectacular, interstellar fireworks show.

NEW PREDICTION: 11/27/09, PRESENTATION POSTED: 5/1/10 -- The first of several new wars involving India and Pakistan will be over the disputed region of Kashmir beginning in October 2010 and continuing unil November 2011. The initial salvos of the war will occur when the Pakistani air force bombs targets in Kashmir and air fields in northwestern India. China and North Korea will likely support Pakistan and Afghanistan. The United States will back India in the conflict. This event may, in part, be the cause of a resumption of conflict between the US and China in 2010. Russia may initially be neutral, but will likely also support India along with the United States.
During the course of the year of trouble, the war may turn nuclear in February 2011. If the nuclear war is limited or does not happen at all, more danger of China entering the conflict begins in June 2011. If the nuclear war is total, however, it will end then, in February or March 2011, with upwards to two billion dead and injured.

Greece was not one of the nations predicted for a revolution this year. Still, things have progressed far beyond mere strikes in Greece. Sustained protests and riots have been going on for some time now.

Although the uprisings appear to be quieted by Christmas, riots erupt again in February and continue, on and off, throughout the winter, spring, and summer of 2011 until things grow hot again in October 2011. During this time, the German chancellor Angela Merkel is overthrown in a coup and is replaced by a dictator falsely allied with Russia. The revolution in Germany is partly engineered by Russian agents, although this may never be officially known to the world. The tensions in this part of the world will threaten to bring in Russia. Indeed, civil unrest in Hungary may even spill over into Serbia, causing a brief civil war in that country, most likely one triggered by ethnic Hungarians living in Vojvodina. It will be a tense time between Nato and Russia and, if things are handled badly, could trigger a world war. However, the violence in Hungary will probably be pacified one more time, as it was in 2006. Likewise, the civil war in Serbia will burn out after a month or so. If things go well, this will be for the last time. The next vector for trouble in Hungary, in August 2012, will most likely trigger a global war.

It should be remembered that pop singer Britney Spears attempted to hang herself whilst in a mental hospital in March 2007 and that country singer Mindy McCready attempted suicide by drugs overdose twice in 2005. Thus, I suppose the singer in question could be someone as famous as either of these or this event could well be a second suicide attempt by Britney Spears and a third attempt for McCready ... one that will result in death this time around.

"My daughter has just taken an overdose," said the caller in the 911 recording released by the Lee County sheriff on Tuesday afternoon. "You've taken too many pills for me to handle this," she said, apparently to someone in the room with her. McCready, 34, has waged a public battle with drug addiction over the past several years and was a participant in the last season of the reality TV show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." "I don't know how many pills my daughter's taken," the caller said. "I thought that I could handle it and I'd get her to the hospital but she's evidently taken a whole bottle. There was a lot of Darvocet in the bottle and I don't know how many she took, but she's claiming she took a lot." "And it was intentional?" the emergency operator asked. "Yes," the caller said. Cape Coral Hospital spokeswoman Karen Krieger confirmed that McCready was being treated in the emergency department. Inge said McCready, who remains in a Florida hospital, has admitted she attempted to take her own life with an amphetamine drug, used to treat obsessive compulsive disorder. Inge also admitted to taking Darvocet and another muscle relaxer. “I asked Mindy how many pills did you take,” Inge told RadarOnline.com. “She said maybe 25. I said that’s it, and that’s when I called 911. Mindy told the 911 people that she absolutely didn’t care if she lost her life. My daughter is very, very sick.” There are conflicting reports whether or not McCready left a suicide note. Inge has been told her daughter left a confession on her computer, but a search has so far failed to find it. However, Inge admitted she discovered a series of letters McCready wrote to her attorney in which she criticized her mother, who cares for McCready's four-year-old son Zander. “I am in shock about what she wrote about me,” Inge said. The one fact that McCready's mother remains adamant about is that the plain fact of the matter is that Mindy did try to kill herself and that is the truth. |

the fact that I actually named Mindy McCready
as most likely female country or pop singer to commit suicide
this year, and that she would do herself with a drugs overdose,
and even provided an image demonstrating McCready's drugs-fuled
death wish, the fact that this was a bungled suicide attempt
hardly matters. Unlike Courtney Love, who claimed she thought
of jumping out of window, and Chely Wright, who claimed she
actually put a gun in her mouth and cocked it, and considered
pulling the trigger, Mindy McCready walked the walk instead of
talking the talk.
Of course, despite the frantic 911 call you can hear on the video above, which irrefutedly proves McCready attempted suicide by drugs, her rep is already doing "Heather Locklear" damage control, claiming McCready injured her foot and had an allergic reaction to her pain medication. Not impossible, I can attest, but I doubt it very much in this particular case, given McCready's recent drug abuse history and past suicide attempts. Then again, as the excerpt from Mindy's porno video, at right, suggests, this suicide attempt might have been a publicity stunt. Otherwise, this is more than a CLOSE PREDICTION ... it is also a RED ALERT because October 2010 is still five months away. There may be yet another suicide attempt ... one that next time will succeed. And then there is the other illustration above that will haunt this part of the page for the next five months ... one of an insanely-grinning Britney Spears preparing to place her head into a hangman's noose.

COMMENTS (8/12/10): Another very close call of a pop singer committing suicide. It is getting more frequent as we reach the actress vector (July/August) and the singer vector (October). Fantasia Barrino has chosen the same method of self-destruction as Mindy McCready, and has likewise failed. NEW PREDICTION: 12/13/08 -- In October/November 2010, Russia will announce the results of research and testing of a new generation of weapons that, if used, could well end life on earth as we know it. The US, and the world, will rub their heads in confusion and angst. Why would Russia spend so much money to create a weapon they could never use against another adversary or nation on earth ... without destroying the planet in the process? Unless, of course, the weapons are intended for something not of this earth ...?

Nevertheless, my guess is a major uprising like the one begun in September 2000 perhaps in November 2010. Note that the base 7 precedent for this one is not 2000, obviously, as one can see.

NEW PREDICTION: 12/14/08 -- In November 2010, the recovery occurs much sooner than expected. Making the Euro a universal medium of exchange, not only in Britain but in the United States, helps to facilitate this outcome. If Obama is not assassinated in April, he will be applauded. Wall Street will rejoice. The job market is slow to rebound, but by mid-2011 most people will be back to work at good competitive wages. Unfortunately not all nations will share in the partial global recovery: Italy and Germany being amongst them (which may explain why rioting, insurrection, and revolutions occur there).
COMMENTS (11/2/09): Despite this declaration, I have my doubts. Unemployment continues to grow as jobs continue to get scrapped, out of work job seekers are still being turned away, banks continue to go bankrupt or out of business, the dollar grows weaker, etc. This is likely a "phony recovery" that is trying to be pushed on the populace. I still insist that, even if a recovery does occur early, it will not begin for another year and will not trickle down to most people until at least 2012.

COMMENTS (1/15/10): This was the closest brush with an asteroid yet. Prior to its passage, it was reported widely that if it were to hit earth, "it would most likely explode high in the atmosphere (with the energy of a small nuclear bomb)".

I don't know why. It actually passed by six hours sooner than
estimated: at 1:45 AM EST.
Villard, nevertheless, asks a good question. What if it had "slammed into Earth"?
For that matter, what if this object actually hit a little sooner than it reportedly did (1:45 AM EST, July 13) ... like roughly nine hours earlier, around 4:53 PM EST on July 12 ... Could Haiti have been struck by a small asteroid? Didn't this quake cause a lot of fire? Witnesses have said fire erupted in different places and that it looked like "the end of the world" at the time of the quake.
Is this more evidence that Planet X is approaching? There will be major quakes all over the place, if that is true ... many of them in countries that have no history of earthquake activity. This would make predicting an event like the one in Haiti impossible using the base 7 system.

NEW PREDICTION: 12/24/09, PRESENTATION POSTED: 8/28/10 -- The year will end in a flurry of major earthquakes, one of them on the island nation of Cyprus in November 2010. This powerful temblor will be felt in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Israel, but it will be Cyprus that receives the real damage. Things will only get worse ... much worse in 2011 and 2012.

COMMENTS (2/17/10): A 4.3 earthquake is a significant magnitude quake when applied to the Midwestern US states. Here we see that three of the five states actually listed in the prediction ... Illinois (epicentre), Indiana and Wisconsin ... were all shaken by this one temblor. This is either a warning about a later major Midwest quake to occur in November/December 2010 or else it is a PREDICTION PARTIALLY FULFILLED nine months early.

NEW PREDICTION: 7/4/08 -- The US will deploy its navy to the waters of Central America off the coast of Venezuela. This will likely be in reaction to the problem of Muslim terrorists being allowed by President Hugo Chavez to use his country as a base of operations against America. Soldiers will storm Caracas and surround the presidential palace or else some military compound or place of refuge where Chavez is known to be in hiding. After nearly a week, Chavez will surrender to the United States. New and free elections will be held to choose a new president. It is possible a specific event may provoke this attack -- like the kidnapping of US tourists or a US embassy that is taken over and Americans held hostage. This will take place in December 2010.

COMMENTS (8/28/10): One of the last seismic shockers of 2010 happens in Iran. The casualities may be so high as to postpone US or Israeli plans for an air attack against Iran's nuclear facilities. Korean
actress and model JANG JA YEON has been found dead in an
apparent suicide. The 27-year-old, best known for her
role as Sunny in hit TV show Boys Before Flowers, hanged
herself from a railing along the stairway in her home in
Bundang, South Korea, according to local police.

successful young British actress who featured in the
Hollywood film Spider-Man 3 hanged herself in her Paris
flat while her boyfriend was asleep in a neighbouring
room, it has emerged. 
Daul Kim, a top model born
in South Korea, has died of an apparent suicide. Kim, 20,
apparently hanged herself Nov. 19. Her lifeless body was
discovered by her boyfriend in her Paris apartment.
Interestingly, the 5'10" Kim, who kept a blog called
I Like to Fork Myself, wrote her last entry on Nov. 18 (the
day before her death).
LOS ANGELES
— Sandra Bullock and Jesse James are divorced. A
court clerk in Austin, Texas, confirmed that the divorce
between the Oscar-winning actress and celebrity biker was
finalized Monday. Bullock filed to end the marriage in
April after reports surfaced that James had been
unfaithful. Details of the settlement were sealed by the
court, but Bullock's initial filing cited "discord
or conflict of personalities" as grounds for the
divorce. An attorney for Bullock did not immediately
return calls to The Associated Press on Tuesday, but her
publicist, Cheryl Maisel, confirmed the couple's split
was complete. James' publicist, Monique Huey-Jones,
declined to comment Tuesday.

Investigators in Seattle are waiting for Huntington Beach
police to send them a photograph confiscated from
convicted serial killer Rodney Alcala in 1979 to see if
it matches one of their missing-person cases, a
sheriff’s spokesman there said today. 
Seattle
investigators have two other cold cases from the time
Alcala was in the Pacific Northwest, after killing 12-year-old
Robin Samsoe of Huntington Beach, King County Detective
Mark Jamieson said today. The two girls in Seattle who
may have been Alcala’s victims are 13-year-old Tony
Witaker and 17-year-old Joyce Gaunt, Jamieson said.
After 475 years,
the Vatican is calling Anglicans back into the fold. In a
move that sent shock waves to the very top of the Church
of England, the Vatican on Tuesday announced a new
structure within the Catholic Church – sort of a
church within a church – to make it easier for
disaffected Anglicans to convert to Catholicism.
Breakaway
conservative Anglicans in Canada, however, showed no
interest Tuesday in joining the Pope's new church. "This
is not just a matter of wearing different clothes or
having a few more rules," Bishop Don Harvey of the
Anglican Network in Canada said in a phone interview from
his home in St. John's, Nfld. "If you go this route,
you cannot say you are Anglican of some sort –
because you are not."
Before breaking
formal ties with the Anglican Church of Canada, Harvey's
group was for years the unofficial conservative wing of
Anglicanism in this country. As such, he said, it has
already tried being a separate entity within a larger
structure. It didn't work then, he said, and he doubts it
will work now. "This would be out of the frying pan
and into the fire," he said of joining the new
Catholic structure.
