A young British heiress has been found dead after a suspected drug overdose. The body of Robyn Whitehead, a film-maker who directed a documentary on musician Pete Doherty and his band The Libertines, was discovered at a unit in Hackney, east London, the Daily Mail reports. The 27-year-old's death is not being treated as suspicious, police said.

Whitehead is the granddaughter of the late Teddy Goldsmith, whose billionaire brother Sir James Goldsmith founded The Ecologist magazine and the Ecology Party, which became the Green Party. Police were called to the flat at 8:10pm on Monday local time, after an emergency call was made to the ambulance service. The young socialite did not live at the home where her body was found.

Whitehead's mother Dido Whitehead was reported as being too upset to speak to the British press, but a maid denied to the Evening Standard the death was drug-related. “No one really knows what happened," the woman, who declined to be named, said. Police said Whitehead's next of kin had been informed of her death and an autopsy would be conducted.

COMMENTS (1/31/10): Here, I fear, is the British heiress of the prediction. Police are now interrogating rocker Pete Doherty concerning his relationship to the Goldsmith granddaughter, Robyn Whitehead. Things look a bit suspicious, and the heiress and socialite had been at the Doherty residence for the last ten days, reportedly in a state of exhaustion according to some witnesses. A CCTV video shows an unidentified blonde haired woman pacing outside the flat at the time of Whitehead's death. Doherty had earlier been heard arguing with the heiress about her film. Doherty also has a reputation of forcing hard drugs like heroin into women when they are unconsious or incapacitated.

Abducted or held against her will? I don't know. Addicted to heroin, which is not something she has been known to be associated with? Maybe. Dead? Most certainly. And for this reason she appears in a related prediction of mine about an heiress, possibly the same as the British one of this prediction, found dead. This is the other prediction.

This prediction, meantime, is PARTIALLY FULFILLED unless more information comes in that proves it as completely fulfilled.

This is by far the most serious break-in attempt while Paris Hilton was at home to date. The man, armed with kitchen knives, was clearly quite insane and would have likely killed Hilton had he got close enough to her. She was very lucky she was awake and able to call police when this happened.

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- A man "holding 2 big knifes" was captured by police after trying to break into Paris Hilton's Los Angeles, California, home Tuesday morning, Hilton said in a Twitter posting.

Police responded to a 911 call that someone was breaking into Hilton's Sherman Oaks home at 6:42 a.m., Los Angeles Police spokesman Gregory Beak said. Hilton was sleeping early Tuesday when a man with two kitchen knives attempted to enter her home, her publicist said. "The security cameras and alarm system were alerted and the police immediately came to the house and arrested the intruder who was attempting to break a window when they arrived," Dawn Miller said.

The police spokesman and Hilton's publicist said no one was injured. "Paris is naturally shaken by the events but is unharmed and well," Miller said. "She is very thankful to her security team and the police for their swift and diligent response."

Hilton alerted fans in a message posted on her Twitter account: "So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes. Cops are here arresting him."

A man taken into custody near the home was "awaiting charges" Tuesday morning, Baek said. No one was injured, he said.

"So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes," the hotel heiress Tweeted Tuesday morning. "Cops are here arresting him." Hilton included a photo of the jeans-clad suspect in handcuffs standing on her lawn, surrounded by cops.

Nathan Lee Parada, 31, nabbed outside Hilton's home about 6:42 a.m., was charged with felony burglary, police said. "He was banging on her door and window in the backyard," Officer Bruce Borihanh told the Daily News. "It's unclear whether he specifically targeted [Hilton] or it was a random act of burglary and he didn't know anybody was home." Hilton saw the would-be intruder on a security camera and called police.

Parada has a criminal record. He was arrested in neighboring San Bernardino County last month after he allegedly used a hammer to break into a Kohl's
department store and grab $14,000 worth of jewelry.

And he has mental problems, his family said. "He has that mood problem - bipolar disorder. He's very quiet and we don't see him much," grandmother Angie Parada, 74, told The News. Asked if her grandson had a fascination with Hilton, she said "No, I never heard anything about that."

Hilton's mom was blindsided by news when she arrived home from a trip early yesterday. "Oh, my God, it's just amazing. Thank God she's okay," Kathy Hilton told The News. "I'm going up to check on her now. I'm very thankful to the police. Thank God that she saw this in time."

Paris Hilton was left severely traumatised last night, after she claimed she awoke to discover a man wielding two knives trying to gain entry to her home.

Cops arrived at the scene and arrested a man later identified as Nathan Lee Parada – with Paris’s Tweeting a pic of the scene and uploading it to her Twitter page saying, “So scary, just got woken up by a guy trying to break into my house holding two big knives. Cops are here arresting him.”

The heiress says the incident went down at 6.30am this morning, and told police that Parada went around the house banging on her windows, but didn’t actually manage to enter her home.

And it’s not the first time Paris has experienced a stalker with a knife trying to reach her, after a man claiming to be her fiancé forced his way into her father’s offices and was later found to be carrying a knife.

“Paris is naturally shaken by events but is unharmed and well,” said her rep. “She is very thankful to her security team and the police for their swift and
diligent response.”

COMMENTS (8/25/10): This is by far the most serious break-in attempt while Paris Hilton was at home to date. The man, armed with two kitchen knives, was clearly quite insane and would have likely killed Hilton had he got close enough to her. She was very lucky she was awake and able to call police when this happened. We really do not know what would have happened had he got to Paris before she was able to call anyone for help. He could have taken her hostage, especially if he feared pursuit by the police, as the prediction warns. Worse than that, he could have murdered her on the spot. Knives on his person or not, he still could have killed her in many other ways, including by strangling or hanging as mentioned in the companion prediction.

Paris Hilton was named in this prediction as being the likely heiress. It was partially fulfilled with the death of British heiress Robyn Whitehead as I specified a British heiress or Paris Hilton. Although a CLOSE CALL, together with Robyn Whitehead's death, this now has the same status as a PREDICTION FULFILLED.

NEW PREDICTION: 7/4/08:

In January/February 2010 Nasa will announce the discovery of one of the following:

1) a large, ancient comet that will pass very close to the earth in March 2010, likely by a factor of only a few million miles. It will be logged as the largest comet ever seen, rivalling Lexell's Comet in appearance.

2) two comets that will approach near to the earth simultaneously in March 2010, either from two different locations in space, or else they will be close together, either by chance, or in the form of a rare cometary binary system, or else two fragments that break off of one approaching comet.

Many Planet X believers will come to believe the approaching comet or the larger of two approaching comets is actually Nibiru arriving earlier than scheduled. For this reason, panic will begin to grip the earth's inhabitants.

Whichever the case may be, the comet, or comets, are projected to pass by the earth harmlessly. If two comets, there is a remote possibility the two will impact each other in space, causing no harm to our planet or humanity.

To stem off immediate chaos worldwide due to the universal fear this object, or objects, will cause, most world governments will make some sort of official statement assuring everyone the March 2010 comet or comets will cause no harm to anyone. In any case astronomy and Nasa experts will be called upon to give their assessment of the situation and thus calm the public's apprehension. The experts will be speaking truthfully, because the comet or comets will indeed pose no danger.

Again, however, whilst levelling with the people about the coming March 2010 event, all governments will continue to deny the existence of Planet X (Nibiru) and blast it as an internet conspiracy theory run amok. All governments, except for one, that is ....

Have a good look at this star. For astronomers have discovered that it is on course to collide with the outskirts
of our solar system with potentially catastrophic consequences. New calculations show that the orange dwarf,
called Gliese 710, will crash through the Oort Cloud that surrounds the Sun. The disruption to this shell
of many billions of icy fragments would launch a shower of comets into the inner solar system,
threatening the planets with devastating impacts.

Scientists claim Gliese 710 is five times the mass of Jupiter and responsible for past mass catastrophes
occurring since 26 million years ago.

COMMENTS (3/23/10): Time will tell if this disclosure by Nasa is yet another "false" report of Planet X. Its falseness may lie in the fact that Gliese 710, which is a brown dwarf star, is not Nibiru (which everyone knows is a brown dwarf star). The size of Gliese is also consistent with the largest specifications given for Nibiru as opposed to the smallest (three times the size of earth). Additionally, a deceptive exaggeration has this star not posing the earth any danger for another million years, likely intended to lull the public into further complacency whilst giving it what may be the first honest report of the coming of Planet X/Nibiru.

The timing of this period is highly suspicious given that we are nearing the dangerous period of the supposed Mayan "end year" 2012. The timing of the report comes after yet another a giant comet has passed through the inner solar system and plunged into the sun, with the status of the ancient puliverising comet P/2010 A2, reportedly incoming, still unknown.

Hollywood Horrors Part One:
Aspiring/B-film Actress Horrifically Murdered

NEW PREDICTION: 12/9/08 -- This particular timeline, 1926-2010, has witnessed the most bizarre, kinky, and grotesque series of murders, suicides, and mysterious deaths ever recorded. Elizabeth Short, nicknamed "The Black Dahlia" because she always wore black clothes, was a 22-year-old aspiring model who wished to act in movies. Although there are plenty of press release publicity photos of Short, she never realised her dream. On the night of January 14, 1947 she was last seen leaving the Biltmore Hotel with a "gentleman" -- quite possibly someone posing as a studio agent. Her body was found, severed in half, with her mouth slit apart into a grotesque smile, in the Crenshaw District January 15, 1947. Likely the most horrific and gruesome murder ever recorded in Hollywood's history was made into a film by "master of suspense" director Brian de Palma in 2007.

More recently on this same timeline we find yet another classic case, still being tried in a courtroom: that of B-film queen Lana Clarkson who was found shot to death in the Hollywood Hills mansion of legendary record producer and "Wall of Sound" creator Phil Spector on February 3, 2003. Indeed, the murder of an aspiring or B-film actress like Lana Clarkson was predicted by me to happen in 2003 based on the Black Dahlia slaying discussed above. I even had an approximation of the first name, Laura or Laurel rather than Lana, figured out and the partial name "Clark" the day before her murder was reported. Clarkson had been shot through the mouth and brain, and it remains unclear whether she was terrorised and murdered by Spector or if she had taken the gun and engaged in erotic edge play with the weapon, playfully sucking on the gun barrel and simulating fellatio, only to accidentally squeeze the trigger and kill herself. Indeed, it can be seen from some of the photos taken of the body that her legs are bare all the way up apparently to her crotch which is barely covered by her sweater. It is obvious to anyone that she is not wearing shorts but is either wearing panties or no panties at all, indicating that Spector may have been masturbating her while she sucked on the gun.

Then there are the film curses of 1982 which resulted in a murder for a new actress and gruesome accidental death for a famous actor. Poltergeist (1982) and Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983) were both being shot that year by Steven Spielberg and his associates. Actor Vic Morrow and two child actors would be horrifically beheaded in a Vietnam helicopter sequence of Twilight Zone's first of four stories when an accident on the set of the film caused the copter to crash and the blades to decapitate Morrow. As for Poltergeist actress Dominique Dunne, who played the older sister of the film's character "Carol Anne" (played by the late child actress Heather O'Rourke, who died in 1988), her life would end tragically on November 4, 1982 at the age of 22. During an argument with her ex-boyfriend, John Thomas Sweeney, on the evening of October 30, 1982, Sweeney would follow her out to the driveway of her estate and strangle her into a vegetative state of virtual brain death. She died five days later in a coma she would not and could not have ever emerged from.

Other notable Hollywood murders of aspiring, new, or faded actresses on this timeline include actress Rebecca Schaeffer, age 21, who starred in the TV sitcom, My Sister Sam, and one film, The End of Innocence. The future looked bright on July 18, 1989 when she prepared to meet with director Francis Ford Coppola to audition for his film, Godfather III. However, when she opened the door to her apartment she found herself face to face with a man named John Bardo, a deranged fan who had been stalking her for over two years. Bardo shot Schaeffer in the chest. She died instants later.

Then there was 36-year-old actress Barbara Colby, gunned down on July 24, 1975 along with actor James Kiernan as they walked to her car after teaching an acting class in Los Angeles. She had appeared in the TV series The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Columbo, and The Odd Couple.

Back to 1982 again, the year of the Dunne murder, and there was one close call: actress Theresa Saldana, like Rebecca Schaeffer seven years later, was herself attacked by a homicidal fan. Saldana, like Schaeffer, was an "up and coming" actress. She had starred in several films since her debut in 1978: I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Defiance, and Raging Bull. A whacked-out fan named Arthur Jackson planned to get caught and executed after murdering Saldana so he could join her in death. When Saldana opened the door of her apartment, Jackson pulled a knife and stabbed her ten times. A deliveryman intervened and disabled the stalker. Fortunately, Theresa Saldana survived her injuries and went on to continue with her film career.

In any event, whether it is a macabre and gruesome homicide reminiscent of the Black Dahlia Murder, or a spectacularly kinky mystery murder or suicide like the Lana Clarkson/Phil Spector case, or simply a straightforward, brutal murder without any significant mystery attached to it, there is a strong likelihood that a young aspiring actress or a popular B-film siren will be murdered, possibly quite horrifically, in January/February 2010.

Clue: the victim may be a friend of heiress Paris Hilton or murdered socialite Martine vik Magnussen.

COMMENTS (1/11/10): This is about as gruesome as gruesome gets ... burned and charred beyond recognition. The actual cause of death has not been determined ... it is suspected she was killed before her body was put in the bin and burned.

But this may not necessarily be the case. A similar murder occurred in California last year to young local woman whose charred-beyond-recognition body was also found in a trash bin. She had been doused with an accelerant of some kind and burned alive, right there in the dumpster. That young woman died a horrible death.

Could this be the event that matches this prediction? It certainly could. Consider who Elizabeth Short, otherwise known as "The Black Dahlia," was: a small time model who was running around Hollywood taking screen tests to become an actress. She wasn't even famous or even known to the public ... until she became a sawn-in-half corpse. She died in January too ... January 1947. Paula Sladewski had some degree of noteriety by being linked to Playboy and it is being reported she also was interested in a career as an actress.

I guess it will now be a question of how far the media go with this ... will the killer ever be caught or never be found? If they think they know who killed her, the question then is why, and what was the actual cause of death?

But never forget how fickle the media is these days. A story like "The Black Dahlia," which went down as one of the most infamous murders of the 20th Century, today might get about four to six weeks attention and then be forgotten forever. A case like that of Rebecca Schaeffer might fare little better.

The only reason the Lana Clarkson murder achieved so much publicity in 2003 was because her alleged (and now convicted) killer was the legendary music producer Phil Spector.

Even if another more famous case is yet to occur this year, I have to go with my instincts and the timing of it to say the apparently grisly murder of Playboy model Paula Sladewski is a PREDICTION FULFILLED.

Reality star Tila Tequila was attacked with bottles and rocks while performing a gig. Tila, 28, was performing on stage at the music festival Gathering of the Juggalos in Hardin County, Illinois.

The gig was put together by hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse and onlookers told CNN that Tila was 'pretty cut up' after leaving the stage following the attack. She was then pursued by hundreds of people, who shook her trailer and smashed the windows.

Writing on her Twitter page later, she said: 'The people at Juggalos behaviour was disgusting and I am filing a suit against them now.' She added: 'Pretty soon the owners who run the Juggalos will be bankrupt. My attorney Alan is already on it. This is disgusting behaviour from men.'

Hardin County Sheriff Tom Seiner said "there's 800 concertgoers out there approximately this year and it's going to be very hard to identify anyone who threw that threw the things at her. It's like a mob of retards trying to lynch one of their own because she took her top off."

Illinois police are investigating allegations Tila Tequila was attacked while performing at a music festival in the state, after the reality star accused revellers of pelting her with beer bottles and fire crackers. The star, real name Tila Nguyen, recently released pictures of her bruised and bloodied face, claiming the injuries were the result of a prolonged attack when she was rapping at the Gathering of the Juggalos event, which began on Thursday.

The 28 year old, who is reportedly planning to file suit against event organisers, told TMZ.com she fled the stage only to be followed by several revellers who were "trying to kill" her.

Hardin County police were called to calm the situation, and Sheriff Tom Seiner admits "things got out of hand" during the festival. Seiner tells the website deputies were not on scene at the time of the star’s reported incident because they were already responding to reports of a stabbing. TMZ.com has obtained a video of the incident, in which Tequila is seemingly being protected by four security guards as members of the crowd hurl liquid-filled bottles and other missiles at her during the set. A spokesperson for the event had not returned requests for comment as WENN went to press.

Tila Tequila bared her boobs before the bizarre onstage attack over the weekend, in which a group of clown makeup-wearing concertgoers hurled rocks, bottles and even “human poop” at the reality starlet.

Tila was making her hip-hop debut at the Gathering of Juggalos, a music festival in Illinois, when fans wearing clown makeup -- supporters of the band Insane Clown Posse -- began throwing projectiles at the stage. “Everyone started booing,” Tila says in a new interview.

“I was like, 'Alright, this is a violent and tough crowd,' so I went out there just to try and have fun... But immediately before I got up there, things were being thrown, there was so much stuff being thrown, besides just beer bottles." Tequila says at one point “human poop” was thrown at her.

A topless Tequila was soon taken off stage with visible cuts and bruises and blood streaming down her forehead -- more photos here. Tequila, most famous for her reality show A Shot At Love, posted a Twitter Saturday, saying she would sue the festival, which is organized for fans of the hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse.

She says, "Because it's been such an underground type of concert and I'm glad that I could bring this to mainstream and expose them for what they do to people and women and that it's not OK."

Aug 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reality television star Tila Tequila hogged the limelight once again after the singer supposedly had to bear the brunt of a violent crowd who launched a vicious attack on her as she was about to commence her performance at a musical festival over the weekend. When the reality star went on stage to perform at the “Gathering of the Juggalos” music fiesta, the crowd reacted by throwing bottles and pelting rocks at her forcing her to seek refuge.

While revealing details of the incident, the 28-year-old television personality told the media that as soon as she went on stage, the hundreds of people gathered at the event went crazy as they threw huge stone rocks as well as beer bottles on her face that left her injured. As the crowd went out of control, her body guards and the other security personnel escorted her to the trailer but that did not stop the mob who went on to chase the reality star and smash the windows of the trailer while also attempting to storm inside the vehicle.

In the meanwhile, the incident that Tila Tequila had been mobbed by the crowd has been confirmed by the Hardin County Sheriff Tom Seiner but intrinsic details of the incident has not been revealed to the media. The reality star has, however, divulged her plans to file a lawsuit against the organizers of the concert through the micro-blogging site Twitter where she also goes on to say that very soon the owners of the ‘Gathering of the Juggalos’ would be going bankrupt.

COMMENTS (8/21/10): This one is a CLOSE CALL. It has all of the ingredients of the prediction: bizarre, kinky (as she was topless and this somehow prompted the crowd into a frenzy of bloodlust), and potentially horrific (if Tila had been killed). It would have been the first murder of an actress by lynching in history. One might call Tila Tequila an "aspiring" actress even though she is a reality TV star. It is a minor technicality.

The failure of the Middle East peace process and the escalation of US troops into Afghanistan and likely neighbouring Pakistan ... demonstrate the worst features of 1967 from a base 7 perspective. In 1967 the Paris Peace Talks failed and there was a major escalation of troops into Vietnam. Obama is following in the footsteps of the final two years of the Lyndon Banes Johnson administration (1967 and 1968). If true, things will get much worse in the region of Central and South Asia as well as in the Middle East proper.

We are now following the path of the classic "quagmire conflict" Vietnam ... not only in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but increased violence and terrorism in Iraq which is but a prelude to what is to come next year. We shall likely see a "Tet Offensive" occur in Afghanistan very soon, possibly in February 2010. The Taliban and Al Qaeda may launch this rapid "Tet offensive" in Afghanistan, driving out many US and Nato troops. Their forces may then capture the city of Jalalabad and eventually Kabul.

What happens next depends on what key parts of the country are actually regained by the Taliban, or if their efforts are repelled at a cost of many US and Nato casualties, and, if the Taliban and al-Qaeda are successful in taking Kabul, whether shaken US and Nato forces will decide to retain their presence elsewhere in Afghanistan and nearby Pakistan to continue to fight.

Killer Earthquake Strikes China

NEW PREDICTION: 11/27/08, PRESENTATION POSTED: 10/19/09 -- The powerful 8.0 quake which sttruck China's Sichuan Province in May 2008 killed nearly 70,000. This quake, which should occur about February 2010, should fall in the 7 magnitude range rather than 8, but will likely equal the destruction caused by the 2008 temblor. However, prospects of warning residents about this quake ahead of time are good, which may result in a very low number of killed and injured that might otherwise occur. Yet, neither this quake nor the May 2008 quake will approach the nearly million casualties a seismic shock will cause in China in July/August 2011. These two quakes are merely foreshocks to a much greater scene of devastation to come.

So as not to repeat the "Curse of 1976," both vectors should be studied and prepared for. Even if the 2010 earthquake fails to occur, the 2011 temblor will likely take place.

(CNN) -- A rapid series of strong earthquakes hit a mountainous and impoverished area of China's Qinghai province early Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. About 300 people were killed, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported, adding that another 8,000 have been injured. Many others, including primary schoolchildren, were feared buried under debris after a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck at 7:49 a.m. local time (7:49 p.m. ET Tuesday), when many people were probably still at home and schools were beginning the day.

China state television broadcast emergency workers on the scene The USGS also recorded three strong aftershocks -- of magnitudes 5.8, 5.2 and 5.3 -- all within two hours of the first quake. "We have to mainly rely on our hands to clear away the debris as we have no large excavating machines," police officer Shi Huajie told Xinhua. "We have no medical equipment, either."

A Chinese military official told Xinhua that the death toll was expected to rise, given the damage to homes. He said dispatched soldiers were setting up tents and transporting oxygen for the injured but affected roads leading to the airport could hamper relief efforts. The Ministry of Civil Affairs plans to distribute 5,000 tents, 50,000 coats and 50,000 quilts to the earthquake zone, Xinhua said.

The epicenter was located in remote and rugged terrain, about 150 miles (240 kilometers) northwest of Qamdo, Tibet. Qinghai borders the autonomous regions of Tibet and Xingjiang and the provinces of Gansu and Sichuan. Xinhua said the quake hit the prefecture of Yushu, a Tibetan region of Qinghai with about 80,000 people.

More than 85 percent of the houses in the county seat of Jiegu, had collapsed, a prefecture official told Xinhua. "Many are buried in the collapsed houses, and there are still lots of others who are injured and being treated at local hospitals," he said. Xinua said residents near the epicenter also reported casualties and collapsed buildings. Karsum Nyima, deputy director of news at local Yushu TV, told Xinhua that most of the houses in the area were made of wood with earthen walls. He said some had come tumbling down, including a Buddhist pagoda in a park.

COMMENTS (4/14/10): I am sorry to say that this appears to be a PREDICTION FULFILLED, two months late ... and I would not be surprised to see the death toll rise well into the thousands. Again, I must stress this, a much more powerful quake will likely strike China again next year and it will be counted among the worst in the history of the world.

On the 2009 (Part Two) page I projected an Israeli air strike would occur in June 2009. This prediction concerns an American attack. If Israel does not bomb Iranian nuclear installations by the end of December 2009, it is increasingly more likely that the United States, with the backing of many other nations, will conduct a massive air campaign against Iran in March 2010. Then again, if Israel does start a war with Iran beforehand, it may not be until March that the US joins in the conflict.

This conflict, if engaged, could deteriorate into yet another, third quagmire like Iraq and Afghanistan, only this "quagmire" will be fought on the high seas of the Persian Gulf and in the air as well as on land. Then again, this could be over in a few weeks or months ... until Russia and Iran band together against the US and the West in August 2011 by imposing a joint naval blockade. Then the naval conflicts and air exchanges will be tremendous.

China Threatens to Invade Taiwan, Attack
US Cities and Naval Vessels

China threatens Taiwan and US Obama warns China

NEW PREDICTION: 11/7/08 -- When the Great Comet of 2010 is nearing its closest point to earth, the Chinese dragon will threaten to make its long-awaited move to invade and conquer Taiwan. It will also threaten to attack US and US-allied ships in the region. Beijing will remind America that many of its cities are targeted by its nuclear arsenal should there be any interference in an invasion of Taiwan. North Korea may also make unsettling incursions into South Korean or Japanese air space or territorial waters. Tensions will also be high between China and India at this time. The entire region will be preparing for war while the apparition of the Great Comet of 2010 is coursing through the heavens above.

The base 7 dating for this event is March 2010. As many as 200 or more cities throughout the Pacific will be in danger of attack during this protracted crisis.

COMMENTS (2/21/09): North Korea threatening South Korea, North Korea threatening to launch a missile test, and Russia sinking a Chinese cargo ship are pale omens of the troubles I believe will be occurring a year from now in March 2010. Then again, North Korea's threats could even be an early start to the troubles to come.

I will say this much because I have said it time and time before: any prediction involving troubles with China, one must automatically conclude that North Korea will be included in it at some point, and any prediction concerning North Korea, one should automatically consider that China will become involved at some point. In any event, the above prediction indicates this: that troubles with North Korea may be concurrent with any involving China. The two were allies during the Korean War of 1950-53 and they will likely always be allies at a time of war.

One reason I am a bit concerned about events happening now, in 2009, in the Pacific is due to the coming passage of Comet Lulin. Were Lulin to go into outburst and become a very bright comet (which I seriously doubt), then we must re-evaluate events going on in the Korean peninula and between Russia and China near the port of Nakhodka as the early rumblings of potentially premature fulfillments of the above prediction happening one year premature (in 2009 instead of 2010).

I would also have to point out that a dream vision I had back in 2006 could have implicated the US in a war with North Korea in March 2007 or March 2008, and could still in March 2009 ... but only if there is major flooding and tidal activity in the world's oceans and seas and most US and Pacific naval ports.

COMMENTS (5/20/10): There is absolutely no question in my mind that if South Korea chooses to retaliate against North Korea in a military manner for the sinking of The Cheonan, and shots have already been fired only four days ago, there will be a Second Korean War. Should that occur, I also have little doubt that China will eventually ally with North Korea against South Korea (as it did during the first Korean War of 1950-1953). Then China will not think twice about taking Taiwan by force and attacking US vessels and troops in the Pacific. Chinese and North Korean nuclear attacks on US cities may also be a real possibility. Because North Korea has made an enemy of Japan in the last few years, it is clear that Tokyo will be in the same alliance with South Korea, Taiwan, and the USA. Australia may also be attacked for siding with South Koreans in the investigation.

Naval warfare specialists said the exercises appeared designed to simulate a conflict involving aircraft carrier strike groups.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China has shown off its growing military strength with naval exercises off its eastern coast, shortly before Washington and Seoul are expected to carry out their own drills which Beijing has criticised. State television broadcast images on Tuesday it said showed the East Sea Fleet on recent manoeuvres, including helicopters and a submarine launching a long-range missile underwater. It did not say exactly where or when the pictures were taken and it was not clear if they showed a drill that the official Xinhua news agency said took place over the weekend.

Xinhua said four rescue helicopters and four rescue ships were deployed in the two-day drill in the Yellow Sea, where the United States and South Korea are planning manoeuvres aimed at sending a message of deterrence to North Korea. Beijing has condemned those drills,which many in China feel are also aimed at their country.

Zhu Chenghu, a strategic studies professor at the National Defence University, told the China News Service that the U.S.-South Korean drills were clearly aimed at sending Beijing a message as much as they were directed at North Korea. "They will take place in the Yellow Sea, which is the entry point to China's house, and they obviously want to show off their military strength," he said. U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates dismissed concerns on Tuesday, saying the drills were routine ...

China has repeatedly criticised the U.S.-South Korean drills. "We resolutely oppose any activities in the Yellow Sea that may threaten China's security," Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang told a routine news conference last Thursday. China's growing military clout and rising defence spending have raised concern in Asia, especially in Japan. Taiwan, the self-ruled island China claims as its own, warned this week that its huge neighbour was still aiming missiles at it, despite warming business and trade ties.

North Korea says it will use its "nuclear deterrent" in response to joint US-South Korean military exercises this weekend. Pyongyang was ready to launch a "retaliatory sacred war", the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KINA) said, quoting defence officials. Washington and Seoul say the war games are to deter North Korean aggression. Tensions between the two Koreas have been high since the sinking of a South Korean warship in March ...

"All these war manoeuvres are nothing but outright provocations aimed to stifle the Democratic People's Republic of Korea [North Korea] by force of arms," KCNA reported the powerful National Defence Commission as saying. "The army and people of the DPRK will start a retaliatory sacred war of their own style based on nuclear deterrent any time necessary in order to counter the US imperialists and the South Korean puppet forces deliberately pushing the situation to the brink of a war."

The North had already promised a physical response to the military exercises during an Asian regional security forum in Vietnam. North Korea's delegation spokesman at the Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) Regional Forum (ARF) said the exercises were an example of 19th century "gunboat diplomacy". "It is a threat to the Korean peninsula and the region of Asia as a whole," he said.

North Korea said it would counter U.S. and South Korean joint naval exercises with “nuclear deterrence” after the Obama administration said the government in Pyongyang shouldn’t take any provocative steps. North Korea will “legitimately counter with their powerful nuclear deterrence the largest-ever nuclear war exercises to be staged by the U.S. and the South Korean puppet forces,” the National Defense Commission said, according to the Korean Central News Agency.

The maneuvers, which involve 20 vessels and 200 aircraft from the U.S. and South Korea, pose a threat to the country’s sovereignty and security, Ri Tong Il, an official with North Korea’s delegation to the Asean Security Forum, told reporters in Hanoi yesterday. Ri’s comments came after North Korean Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun sat in the same room with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Hanoi for a security meeting of Asia’s largest powers. Clinton condemned North Korea for being “on a campaign of provocative, dangerous behavior,” urging Kim Jong Il’s regime to change ...

The U.S. said this week it will intensify sanctions against North Korea and conduct military exercises with South Korea in waters surrounding the peninsula. The USS George Washington, a nuclear-powered carrier, and three destroyers called into South Korean ports this week in a show of force.

China ratcheting up regional tension

In flexing its military muscle commensurate with its growing economic might, Beijing is causing tensions to rise dramatically in the South China Sea. This is partly due to conflicting claims of sovereignty over the Spratley Islands, an area with rich fishing grounds and potentially huge gas and oil deposits, by China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan. Another reason is China's heightened awareness of naval power and its determination to maintain a presence with warships and other vessels in a region that has had its fair share of instability.

Beijing's stance has drawn expressions of concern from a number of countries, most notably the United States, which fears China is bent on trying to deny it access to these waters ...

Tensions are also rising between China and Vietnam in waters around the Paracel group of islands whose sovereignty is also claimed by Taiwan ...

China's interest in a show of force in the South China Sea is in line with Chinese President Hu Jintao's policy for Beijing to "strengthen its awareness of the sea." The policy reflects China's interest in securing natural resources, especially oil, to fuel the energy hungry nation of 1.3 billion people.

For its part, the United States is not sitting back. In early June, U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said in a speech at an annual meeting of defense ministers in Singapore, "We do not take sides on any competing sovereignty claims (in the South China Sea), but we do oppose the use of force and actions that hinder freedom of navigation." He did not mention China, but it was clear that he was criticizing China's activities in the South China Sea.

U.S. experts have advanced a number of theories to explain China's intentions. One is that China is responding to a perception that its interests are threatened by the United States and other countries. Another is that China wants to solve its territorial disputes with shows of force now that its economy is headed to become the world's second biggest after the United States. China recently constructed a base for submarines in Hainan island, which faces the South China Sea. The development prompted some military experts to warn that China is making the South China Sea a "bastion" for nuclear-powered submarines (SSBNs) that can launch ballistic missiles. Vietnam and Singapore are among regional countries that have begun to procure submarines to counter China's naval buildup and assertive activities. The sea lanes that run through the South China Sea are also crucial for Japan and South Korea. For this reason, the United States cannot simply ignore China's expansion of influence.

China, on the other hand, views issues concerning the South China Sea to be deeply rooted in history. As such, it has little sympathy for the U.S. position. "The United States is not a country surrounding the South China Sea. It should not play a leading role in this issue," said Li Guoqiang, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

COMMENTS (7/24/10): The threats from both North Korea and China at this point can no longer easily be dismissed as so much bluster. The threats from North Korea are deafening; the warnings from China troubling ... and the US has ceased being so diplomatic about it's own reaction. It is almost as though the United States is INVITING some sort of attack by North Korea, even a nuclear one ... China has demonstrated with its own war games that it is prepared to come to the defence of its Korean ally, as it did in 1950 and 1951, and also is stepping up military presence in the South China Sea ready to protect the Spratley's, the Paracels, and even Taiwan if necessary. We have already seen warnings and threats over the year since the sinking of The Cheonan, and even since last year for that matter, but as one commentator has pointed out, we have now reached a new threshhold where words will likely be backed up by military actions.

The threat of nuclear war as a retaliatory military act can never be taken lightly when there is so much weaponry and preparedness for warfare occurring on all sides in the region. Normally war games are war games and drills are drills ... but this time it can easily become transformed into a nightmarish climax of a longstanding grudge match. This prediction focused initially in November 2008 on China's threat to Taiwan, but was updated a few months later in February 2009 to remind everyone of the strong alliance between China and North Korea ... and make no mistake about it ... if North Korea begins a hot war in the Pacific with the United States and South Korea, China will use the opportunity to forcibly grab its interests by military means, including Taiwan. China, as can be seen, is also preparing for nuclear war with its "bastion" of SSBNs as noted above. Its threats to America on July 20 during its own war games should be regarded with greater angst than those now being made by North Korea. China has the capability of destroying nearly all major US cities.

This is the time of threats I predicted and the kind of threats I said to be worried about. It is four months late, in July 2010, but stems from the March 2010 sinking of The Cheonan.

This threat stage is now a PREDICTION FULFILLED. One can only hope that the next stage is never fulfilled: the United States, perhaps with Russia as an ally, at war with China and North Korea, predicted by me to occur during the period August-October 2010 on 2010 (Part Four).

US President Barack Obama's Historic "Deep Impact" Address
to the Nation and the World

President Obama fields questions from reporters after delivering his historic Deep Impact/Planet X address

NEW PREDICTION: 7/4/08 -- In all truth, this may instead be a riveting speech concerned with facing the challenges of the New Great Depression and a warning that the spectre of World War III, so narrowly averted in August 2009, might once again return within a few short years if the appropriate steps are not taken to ensure a credible global peace programme. Such a speech may also address the US-Russian signing of joint global policing, new hostile actions by Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia, and threats by China to invade Taiwan and use its nuclear forces if necessary.

Unfortunately, as discussed above, an important vector exists for a close encounter with at least one or possibly two comets in March 2010. Planet X panic in the United States will be building. At this time President Barack Obama will decide to stand up and tell the American people and the world the whole truth. He will anger many people in high places doing this and will inevitably pay the ultimate price for doing so.

Once again, as certain other world leaders have done, he shall begin by reassuring the public that the comet or comets they see hurtling towards earth shall pass by harmlessly or, if two comets, impact each other in space (again harmlessly). But that will not be enough in his eyes; his heart will dictate that the people know what other governments are not telling them.

President Obama shall shock America and the world as he becomes the first and only world leader to address the danger posed to earth by Planet X, and identify the time of passage as being December 2011 through February 2012.

Many people who already suspected or knew that the Nibiru controversy was more than a mere internet conspiracy theory will be shocked to discover that the flyby shall occur one year sooner than they had been led to believe.

Obama will inform the public what is known and what is not known, what is being done in an attempt to stop the threat, and of the ways that this flyby can be weathered out and survived by a vast majority of earth's inhabitants. Indeed, contrary to internet rumours, there will be civil assistance available, at least in the United States and certain other countries, including underground shelters in certain cities located in or near regions expected to be hardest hit, medical assistance for the injured, and federal assistance programmes for property damage caused by this flyby.

"I'm not going to raise your hopes too high, but I'm not going to preach doom and gloom either. There is still a lot we don't know about this thing. There is even a chance it may change course, we just don't know. But I am confident that together we can and will weather this storm."

Nibiru, brown dwarf star?

The president shall also declare all prices and wages to be frozen, urge that the routine of life and work shall and must continue in a normal manner, and that order shall be preserved by police and military force if necessary. Because of the likelihood of a high survivability rate most people will be obedient.

Unfortunately, people will scarcely have the time to breathe a sigh of relief before President Obama soberly informs them that a second flyby of Planet X will occur after it rounds the sun to return to the outer solar system:

"Again, about this second flyby, we know even less. In all honesty you weren't supposed to know about the first passage let alone the possibility of a second one. But I'm told if and when it happens it will be very bad ... it will make the first flyby look like Katrina in comparison. I won't play this down: It may have the potential to destroy up to 2/3 of the world's population ... at that time a shifting of the earth may occur over a period of three days and three nights.

I can't tell you when for certain because the scientific community is so broken up about this thing ... whether the second flyby will even be our problem or a different generation's. I'm hearing all kinds of dates being thrown around for the near term, but it's beginning to sound like sometime in 2013 ... but I am also being told it might not pass us again until December 2044 or even 52 years after it completes its first flyby, which would be sometime in the late winter or spring of 2064."

Planet X will become outbound in 2013, 2044, or 2064

Obama will outline for the public what is being done to deal with the second flyby should the world's worst fears be realised and Nibiru passes the earth closely on its outbound journey in 2013 rather than 2044 or 2064. References to underground cities will be made and the populations of earth shall be informed these cities can hold only so many. Yes, in some respects this will almost sound like a sound byte directly out of the presidential speech in the 1998 film Deep Impact.

Recommendations will be made concerning known "safe zones" where damage has been calculated to be reasonably light and highly survivable (such as the Great Lakes region of the United States) and also tips for self survival such as investing in geodesic dome houses and the building of home shelters (some of which shall be useless advice unfortunately).

"Remember, together we can get through the first flyby of Planet X ... and the second flyby may not happen for another 32 or even 52 years. Plenty of time enough for our civilisation to prepare for that.

Essentially, though, if it comes back in 2013, during the three days and three nights, you will be on your own. However, until that time, we will maintain an above-the-ground presence. I'm warning you now so that you know: Do not loot, do not riot, do not rape or molest, do not attack or kill your neighbour ... if you become a part of the problem you will be dealt with very harshly. You will be shot on sight, and if there are too many of you wreaking havoc, you will all be sent to special detention camps and disposed of there. There will be no trial nor appeal. To be quite blunt: we do not want people like you to survive.

If Planet X returns in 2013, everything that can be done, will be done. There are things you may never be told we are doing, so never give up hope. When the three days and nights arrive, go into your homes ... go into your homes, seal your doors and windows, and pray to whatever god brings you comfort and peace of mind and spirit. The rest will be in His or Her hands."

The second vector for this or yet another "deep impact" address will arrive in October 2011: two months before the first flyby is due to occur.

Scientists claim Gliese 710 is five times the mass of Jupiter and responsible for past mass catastrophes
occurring since 26 million years ago.

COMMENTS (3/23/10): This is a far cry from a "deep impact" speech by the US president. Yet it may well be the first official admission by Nasa and the US government that a brown dwarf star is headed our way and may wreak considerable havoc with planet earth. Yes, this could well be the start of a series of reports warning humanity that their worst fears concerning Planet X/Nibiru are in fact correct. If so, do not be surprised to see President Barack Obama or, if he is assassinated, presidential successor Joe Biden making this speech after all, although perhaps not until March 2011.

Ancient Comet Passes Earth Harmlessly or
The Garabandal Prophecy Is Fulfilled

Mysterious ancient comet passes harmlessly by earth

NEW PREDICTION: 7/4/08 -- The great comet passes by the earth harmlessly, just as promised, in late March 2010. It will continue to be seen well into April 2010. Despite assurances by world governments, some rioting and looting will occur, but not on any scale that nations have not seen in the past. For example, in the US, it will be no worse in a few large cities than it was in Los Angeles in 1992 after the Rodney King verdict or in 1967, 1968 and 1970 during racial rioting and campus rioting over the war in Vietnam. Some small amount of force may be required, but nothing close to what would be required during a martial law situation.

However, if two comets, the following scenario will occur in March 2010, fulfilling the first part of The Prophecy of Garabandal known as 'The Warning':

Between 1961 and 1965 over 2,000 apparitions of the Virgin Mary appeared at San Sebastian de Garabandal in northwest Spain. Four girls aged eleven and twelve were revealed four warnings in visions concerning the future. The four warnings given were (in order of sequence):

The Warning: A worldwide warning is to be experienced by everyone on earth. Its purpose will be to call humanity to amend its behaviour and return to God.
The Miracle: A great miracle will occur in the late winter or early spring within one year after the warning.
Signs of the Miracle: Permanent signs of the miracle will remain for all time at a pine grove near Garabandal and other selected locations of Marian apparitions.
The Chastisement: A terrible chastisement will occur during which many will die. Other prophecies indicate that this chastisement will eliminate up to two-thirds of humanity.

One of the girls, Conchita Gonzalez, described the first supernatural event, The Warning, thus:

The Warning is something that is seen in the air, everywhere in the world and is immediately transmitted into the interior of our souls. It will last a very little time, but it will seem a very long time because of its effect within us. It would be like fire. It will not burn our flesh, but we will feel it bodily and interiorly. The Warning appears like two stars -- that crash and make a lot of noise, and a lot of light -- but they don't fall. It's not going to hurt us but we're going to see it and, in that moment, we're going to see our consciences.

The Warning sounds very much like two comets (or comet fragments in this case) will appear to be on a collision course with the earth -- or with each other at close proximity to our planet. Whether they explode and disintegrate or impact one another is unclear. Whatever happens it will be at a safe distance from us. But up until that point, humanity will be in great fear and dread of the coming "deep impact." We are tempted to conclude this because, according to Conchita Gonzalez, The Warning will be "a fearful thing." One year later will then come The Miracle and less than a year later a global holocaust called The Chastisement. It is unclear whether conditions of war will already be in progress at the time of the cosmic Warning.

If the Garabandal Warning occurs in 2010, then in early spring 2011 The Miracle will occur, leaving physical evidence of its appearance. What form The Miracle will take we do not know, but in 1971 Conchita did narrow the months down to March, April, or May, insisting that it will not occur in either February or June. That brings us then to a period that bottoms out around November 2011 or a bit later for The Chastisement which will also come from outer space.

So, to summarise: The Warning will be a catastrophe from space that, at the last second, will miraculously terminate far enough away to spare this planet and its inhabitants (we hope). The Chastisement will be a catastrophe from space that will succeed in causing great destruction to earth and its inhabitants. This will likely take the form of Planet X as it reaches it closest point to earth, a large celestial object also known by the ancient names of Nibiru and Marduk and the biblical prophetic name of Wormwood. Both will bring great terror as mankind watches and awaits.

COMMENTS (2/21/09): Comet Lulin, were it to go into outburst, could prove to be a marvelous comet to the naked eye. Unfortunately, as 24 February approaches, this appears less and less likely. At the current time it is only a magnitude 5 comet and, as one report puts it, "looking like a tiny fuzzy spot." Believe me, you have no idea how tiny they mean! At the edge of naked eye brightness not only is it too faint to be seen without binoculars or a telescope unless you are at least 20 miles away from the nearest small city, but it will be a mere speck if you do see it.

Then why report it here at all? For one thing, it could go into outburst ... one never knows! If it does, then we must evaluate other events going on at this time differently, because these other events along with Comet Lulin could be premature fulfillments of predictions on this page, happening one year premature (in 2009 instead of 2010).

The other reason, the reason I began posting links here about Comet Lulin, is that I believe it is a dim echo of what may happen next year ... what is predicted on these pages to happen next year. Lulin may be an omen of the Great Comet of 2010 that will appear next March. It is similar in colour to what I suspect that comet will be as well: a greenish-blue. As for the two satellites that collided in space, one US and one Russian, they may also portend the Garabandal Prophecy of the Warning. The satellite collision was an artificial, mechanical version of what could happen next year if two comet fragments should collide in space.

The other events I mentioned are the ones occurring in the Pacific right now: North Korea threatening South Korea, North Korea threatening to launch a missile test, and Russia sinking a Chinese cargo ship. They are pale omens of the troubles I believe will be occurring in March 2010, one of which may be a Chinese attack on Taiwan. Then again, for that matter, North Korea's threats could even be an early start to the troubles to come.

I will say this much because I have said time and time before: any prediction involving troubles with China, automatically figure that North Korea will be included in it at some point, and any prediction concerning North Korea, automatically figure that China will become involved at some point. The two were allies during the Korean War of 1950-53 and they will likely always be allies at a time of war.

A recently discovered comet is surprising skywatchers by becoming brighter than predictions had first suggested and can now be seen with the unaided eye during the next few weeks. Comet McNaught, officially catalogued as C/2009 R1, was discovered by Australian astronomer Robert McNaught last September using the 0.5-meter Uppsala Schmidt telescope and a CCD camera. It's the 51st comet that bears McNaught's name.

Although initially an extremely faint object, enough observations of the newfound comet were made to allow Brian Marsden of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge, Mass., to calculate an orbit. Comet McNaught is expected to pass closest to the sun (perihelion) on July 2, at a distance of 37 million miles (60 million km).

The comet is visible now for people with dark skies away from urban and suburban lighting. By mid-June it may be an easy skywatching target for most people. Comets brighten when they get nearer to the sun, because solar radiation boils icy particles and dust off the comet's nucleus. A cloud of material called a head, or coma, and sometimes a tail form. It's all illuminated by reflected sunlight.

This recently discovered comet, McNaught C/2009 R1, should not be confused with another dazzling comet to bear McNaught's name – C/2006 P1 McNaught – which also put on a show for skywatchers in 2007 that was so stunning, it earned the moniker "Great Comet of 2007."

In the coming days, the comet is expected to continue to brighten as it gets closer to the sun. If you want to get a view of the comet, you'll have to get up early in the morning. Set your alarm clock for at least two hours before sunrise. For most people that will mean around 3:30 a.m. local time. The comet is currently moving through the constellation of Perseus, the Hero, which at that early hour will be low in the northeast part of the sky. The comet will pass to the south of the second magnitude star, Mirfak around June 14. Both star and comet will be about 20-degrees above the northeast horizon (10-degrees is roughly equal to the width of your clenched fist held at arm's length; so the comet will be about "two fists" up from the horizon). Don't expect anything spectacular just yet, however.

The comet should appear as a dim and diffuse, circular patch of light. Binoculars or a small telescope will help to bring it out better; you might even make out a faint greenish color. From the head of the comet, a narrow tail of gas extends. John Bortle, a well known comet observer, likens McNaught's appearance as resembling an "apple on a stick."

After June 15, Comet McNaught will rapidly slide lower toward the north-northeast horizon, passing very close to the brilliant star Capella in the constellation Auriga around June 22 and a few mornings later very near to the second magnitude star Menkalinan. By then, McNaught will be visible – albeit with some difficulty – both in the evening sky for a short while just after sunset very low above the north-northwest horizon and in the morning sky just before sunrise very low above the north-northeast horizon.

Comets are very unpredictable, but some astronomers say Comet McNaught might reach magnitude +2 by the end of June. If so, it won't rival the brightest stars in the sky, but it should be easy to spot and readily identifiable as a comet.

As the comet approaches the sun, amateur and professional astronomers around the globe have been watching with interest as it slowly increased in brightness. The comet was estimated at magnitude +12 when April began. That is about 250 times dimmer than the faintest star that one might see with an unaided eye. However,the cometstarted brightening more rapidly in the days and weeks that followed and it is now bright enough to be seen with the naked eye in a dark, clear sky.

Alexandre Amorium of Florianopolis,Brazil told Space.com that he saw the comet on June 6 by using 10x50 binoculars and estimated the magnitude as +5.5. That is about as bright as the faintest star in the bowl of the little dipper.

The comet is expected to continue to brighten as it gets closer to the sun. The best time for a person to try and catch a glimpse of the comet is about two hours before sunrise. The comet is currently moving through the constellation of Perseus, which will be low in the northeast part of the sky at an early hour. The comet will appear as a dim and diffuse, circular path of light. John Bortle, a well-known comet observer, said McNaught's appearance resembles an "apple on a stick."

"From the few rough magnitude estimates I have seen posted, it would appear that the comet is perhaps a magnitude brighter Treat for sky gazers, comet closest to Earth Tuesday been anticipated, but whether this trend will continue is, as usual, anybody's guess," Bortle told Space.com. Comets are unpredictable, but astronomers believe the comet will reach a magnitude of +2 by the end of June.

The comet has a distinct tail which will be visible till the month end and also the comet is approximately 160 million kilometres away from Earth can be seen through naked eyes, as stated by the President, C B Devgun of the Science Popularisation Association of Communicators and Educators.

In further addition to this comes the description that was highlighted by a Consultant at Indian Institute of Astrophysics, R C Kapoor who pictured the comet with a vivid green head and a long wispy tail, can be seen low in the north-eastern sky before dawn in constellation Perseus.

The orbit of the comet is defined as hyperbolic, indicating that the present encounter shall be a first and last visit after which the comet shall never return. A bright green comet is streaking across early morning skies this week, experts say. Comet McNaught has been steadily gaining brightness and will be most brilliant through June 16, during its closest approach to Earth at about 105 million miles (170 million kilometers) away.

Comet McNaught, already visible to the naked eye as a faint, fuzzy ball low in the northeastern sky, is best seen in the hour before the sun rises, said Anthony Cook, an astronomical observer at Los Angeles's Griffith Observatory. "Because it has a hazy outline, it should be observed from as far away from light pollution as possible," Cook said. "Between now and the 24th of June, it's visible in a moon-free sky, but after the 26th it will be too close to the sun to see."

As the comet nears the sun, its ice melts, releasing gas and dust that stream away into space. This reaction forms a distinctive blue tail of ionized carbon monoxide stretching a million miles (about 1.6 million kilometers) long. Meanwhile, the comet's nucleus is only a few miles across, with a surrounding glowing greenish cloud of gas that is about 250,000 miles (400,000 kilometers) across—roughly the distance from Earth to the moon.

Cook predicts the especially bright Comet McNaught will put on a worthy show for the unaided eye.

A new bright green comet has become visible in UK skies as it leaves our solar system forever - but blink and you'll miss it.

Comet McNaught, officially catalogued as C/2009 R, has become brighter than expected and skywatchers can now see it with the naked eye. The comet is visible all this week and will be brightest in Britain's skies on June 22. But there's not much time left to catch a glimpse of this unusual sight, which will disappear at the beginning of July.

It was first discovered last September by Australian astronomer Robert McNaught, whose previous comet - nicknamed the Great Comet of 2007 - streaked across the sky in a stunning display.

This comet's green tail looks about the same length as the width of the full moon in the sky when viewed through binoculars but it is in fact 250,000 miles across - roughly the distance from the Earth to the Moon.

COMMENTS (6/15/10): Where did Comet McNaught II come from? A week ago I was checking for comet news with Google search and ... nothing. Indeed, I've been checking for the last several months, and had given up all hope that my prediction would be fulfilled. Usually there is more fanfare than five days advance for a naked eye comet like this one. Yes, it is a green comet, and there is every chance it may reach magnitude +2 (or even brighter) by late June, brightening even more as it nears the Sun on July 2, 2010.

Meantime, as McNaught reached its closest approach to Earth, the Hayabusa spacecraft and probe re-entered the atmosphere as a spectacular blue fireball in the night sky, coursing like a meteor or comet before breaking up into fragments. The probe continued as a smaller blue meteor until it landed and was recovered.

Both events, Comet McNaught remaining visible until at least July 2, 2010, appear during the ongoing crisis over North Korea's sinking of a South Korean naval ship back in March, and a continuing threat by the North of all-out war with South Korea and her allies (including the United States) ... a crisis that could easily pull in China as an ally of Pyongyang. Since Comet McNaught II may continue to brighten until July 2, we should be quite wary of events that will transpire over the next three weeks. Also, not only is it likely that this comet is the one predicted to coincide with a crisis or war involving China and the US (again, North Korea will suffice for reasons I have given many times), but it could also be the dreaded Mabus comet that will herald assassination and World War III.

The largest comet ever recorded, and a very ancient visitor, now courses through the northeastern sky near the constellation Perseus. At this time, astronomers are telling us it will grow brighter until the end of June, but will then become more difficult to see as it moves towards the horizon on July 2. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus has been catapulted into international prominence by President Obama during a televised speech Tuesday night concerning the ever-widening oil spill and environmental crisis in the Gulf of Mexico. His mission: to help draw up the government's plan for recovery efforts in conjunction with officials in the Gulf Coast states. This means if war breaks out on the Korean peninsula, we shall likely be seeing Seceretary Mabus suddenly drawing media attention as he is reassigned to the Pacific theatre of war.

Worst Train Crash in UK History

NEW PREDICTION: 11/27/08, PRESENTATION POSTED: 12/17/09 -- There is little to say; the tittle pretty much says it all. The danger of this occurring becomes of greatest concern about March 2010.

COMMENTS (2/16/10): This is as close to England as you can get without being in the UK. Belgium and the Netherlands are its very close neighbours to the east, Brussels and London less than 200 miles apart. This accident is being depicted as a "horror" and a "nightmare" ... and, as the prediction says, is now considered the worst railway accident in the history of Belgium. It is very close, including geographically-speaking, as well as nearly spot on timewise and event-wise. Unless the UK itself has its worst train crash in history this year, especially in the next few months, I believe this is likely the event that was projected, only slightly off in location. Thus, this is a CLOSE PREDICTION.

Oil slick spreads from sunken rig

(CNN) -- A 1-by-5-mile sheen of crude oil mix has spread across the Gulf of Mexico's surface around the area where an oil rig exploded and sank, a Coast Guard lieutenant said Thursday. "This is a rainbow sheen with a dark center," Coast Guard Rear Adm. Mary Landry told reporters Thursday afternoon. Officials do not know whether oil or fuel are leaking form the sunken Deepwater Horizon rig and the well below, but BP Vice President David Rainey said "it certainly has the potential to be a major spill." BP PLC operates the license on which the rig was drilling. A remotely-operated vehicle is surveying the area and cleanup efforts are already under way, Landry said. The sheen "probably is residual from the fire and the activity that was going on on this rig before it sank below the surface," she said.

Meanwhile, the Coast Guard continued to search for 11 people missing after an explosion late Tuesday set the rig ablaze forcing workers to be evacuated from the vessel. Officials are still unsure what caused the blast. "We do continue with search and rescue," Landry said. "As time passes, however, the probability of success in locating the 11 missing persons decreases."

Adrian Rose, a vice president for rig owner Transocean Ltd, told reporters that the missing workers may not have been able to get off the rig. "Based upon our reports from crew workers we met as they came in last night, they believe that they [the missing workers] may have been on board the rig and not able to evacuate. We have not confirmed that yet," he said. The company is still investigating the incident, but Rose said conversations with evacuated workers when they arrived onshore revealed "really quite heroic stories of how people looked after each other."

The mobile rig was about 52 miles southeast of Venice, Louisiana, when the explosion occurred Tuesday night. There were no indications it was a terrorist incident, the Coast Guard said. Officials said 126 people were on board at the time of the explosion. Of the 115 accounted-for workers, 17 injured were evacuated by helicopter from the rig. Another 94 people were taken to shore with no major injuries, and four more were transferred to another vessel, according to the Coast Guard.

It was not known whether the missing workers were able to make it to one of the rig's lifeboats -- fully enclosed, fire-resistant vessels designed to evacuate people quickly. The Coast Guard said calm weather conditions and warm Gulf waters increase the likelihood of survival for the missing workers. "We're still searching and there's still a probability that those crew members are alive," Senior Chief Petty Officer Michael O'Berry told CNN on Thursday afternoon. Carrol Moss told CNN-affiliate WWL that her husband had been rescued from the rig. But before she got the call, there were some anxious moments, she said. "The only thing I was thinking is how am I going to tell my kids that their dad is not coming home," Moss told the affiliate. "The worst goes through your mind. We were just blessed we got the call."

The rig involved in the explosion -- a mobile unit which moves to different locations in the Gulf of Mexico -- had been drilling for oil in its current location since January, said Eileen Angelico, a spokeswoman for Minerals Management Service, the agency that regulates the oil industry in federal waters. BP spokesman Mueller said dozens of vessels and aircraft were on the way to the scene Thursday afternoon, including equipment to minimize the environmental impact of any spilled oil. "This is the kind of thing we drill for every year and plan for it, but hope we never have to use it. Today is the day we are going to use it. We are prepared and are moving," he said.

Up to 336,000 gallons could spill into the Gulf, based on the amount of oil the rig pulled out daily, O'Berry told CNN. And up to 700,000 gallons of diesel fuel could also leak, Coast Guard Petty Officer Ashley Butler said. As cleanup efforts ramped up, government and company officials said they planned to get to the bottom of what caused the explosion. "It's in our national interest, obviously, to know exactly what went wrong and to make sure something like this never happens again," Deputy Secretary of the Interior David J. Hayes told reporters Thursday afternoon.

COMMENTS (4/24/10): When this story first broke, despite the sensational nature of the explosion, it was not believed that this disaster would pose an environmental threat at sea. However, as the video points out so well, that has all changed dramatically with the sinking of the Deepwater Horizon. This is much, much worse than what happened in January, yet technically that incident can hardly be dismissed either. Even if this massive explosion had not occurred, the collision at Port Arthur and resulting oil spill by itself would have adequately fulfilled this prediction. It is infrequent enough that events of this sort occur: one thinks of the Exxon Valdez and a few other major disasters, but they don't tend to happen more than once or twice a decade, if that. Now we have had two events, in a three-month period ... but this one really looks like it is going to be one for the history books, folks. I can only say, once again ... PREDICTION FULFILLED ... and how!

COMMENTS (4/30/10): I mentioned the Exxon Valdez above. The Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster is now being compared to that of the Exxon Valdez, many now believing that it will become much worse than that historical oil spill. Never before has there been an environmental threat of this magnitude:

The oil leak triggered by a deadly rig blast off the coast of Louisiana has the potential to cause more environmental damage than the 1989 Exxon Valdez spill, one of the largest ecological disasters ever recorded, some observers say.

"As it is now, it's already looking like this could be the worst oil spill since the Valdez," John Hocevar, oceans campaign director for Greenpeace USA, told msnbc.com on Thursday.

"It’s quite possible this will end up being worse than the Valdez in terms of environmental impact since it seems like BP will be unable to cap the spill for months. In terms of total quantity of oil released, it seems this will probably fall short of Exxon Valdez. But because of the habitat, the environmental impact will be worse."

"Probably the only thing comparable to this is the Kuwait fires [following the Gulf War in 1991]," Mike Miller, head of Canadian oil well fire-fighting company Safety Boss, told the BBC World Service.

"The Exxon Valdez is going to pale in comparison to this as it goes on."

Obama chooses Navy secretary MABUS to lead Gulf recovery efforts

(CNN) -- Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, who will develop a long-term plan for the restoration of the states affected by the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, is a former governor of Mississippi whom the White House has called a proven leader. The 61-year-old Mabus was selected by President Obama on Tuesday to help draw up the government's plan for recovery efforts in conjunction with officials in the Gulf Coast states. "The plan will be designed by states, local communities, tribes, fishermen, businesses, conservationists, and other Gulf residents. And BP will pay for the impact this spill has had on the region," Obama said in a nationwide address from the Oval Office.

Last year when Mabus was selected to lead the Navy, the Obama administration released a statement that said: "The president nominated Governor Mabus to be secretary of the Navy because he has the proven leadership and experience our nation needs to serve in this important position."

Mabus was born and raised in Mississippi, attending college at the University of Mississippi. He earned a master's degree at Johns Hopkins University before enlisting in the Navy near the end of the Vietnam War. He served as a surface warfare officer on the USS Little Rock in 1971 and 1972. After the Navy he attended Harvard Law School. The democrat was elected to office for the first time in 1983, becoming Mississippi's state auditor. Five years later, Mabus became governor at age 39, the youngest state leader in the nation at the time, according to the Mississippi Historical Society.

Mabus was named one of Fortune magazine's Top 10 education governors in 1990, according to his biography on National Governors Association website. He was defeated in his re-election bid by Kirk Fordice. In 1994, Mabus was appointed by then-President Bill Clinton as the ambassador to Saudi Arabia where he served for two years before returning to Mississippi to become a businessman.

DALIAN, Liaoning, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Blasts hit two oil pipelines in Dalian, a port city in northeast China's Liaoning Province, Friday. An explosion first hit a 0.9 meter-diameter oil pipeline at about 6 p.m. and triggered an adjacent smaller pipeline to explode near Dalian Xingang Harbor.

Both pipelines, owned by China National Petroleum Corp.(CNPC), caught fire and more than 400 firefighters and 110 fire engines are working at the site.

Blaze of the larger pipeline has been extinguished by 11:30 p.m. but more than 200 meters of the smaller one is still on fire as firefighters failed to turn off its oil pump.

The government is sending special jets to transport fire foam for the campaign. An oil tank that was unloading oil in the harbor when the blast broke out had left the scene unharmed. The pipelines were links between oil ships and land tankers. Local authorities are investigating the incident.

Chinese oil pipeline explodes

More than 2,000 firefighters worked overnight to control flames and further blasts on a second pipeline after the initial explosion. China Central Television showed flames raging among tanks at the port in the northern city of Dalian, and state media described flames 30 meters high.

The cause of the initial blast was not clear. The Xinhua News Agency said it happened after a tanker uploaded oil at the port. China National Radio said officials were considering the evacuation of about 600 homes nearby.

The pipelines are owned by China National Petroleum Corp., which is Asia's biggest oil and gas producer by volume. Dalian's secretary general Xu Guochen told a news conference on Saturday morning that firefighters had turned off the valves on all oil tanks at the site.

Xu said the flames gave off gas containing sulphur and aromatic hydrocarbons that were not fatally toxic, but environmental protection officials told China National Radio that the scene remained unsafe because of chemicals in the air.

BEIJING – China's largest reported oil spill emptied beaches along the Yellow Sea as its size doubled Wednesday, while cleanup efforts included straw mats and frazzled workers with little more than rubber gloves. An official warned the spill posed a "severe threat" to sea life and water quality as China's latest environmental crisis spread off the shores of Dalian, once named China's most livable city. One cleanup worker has drowned, his body coated in crude.

"I've been to a few bays today and discovered they were almost entirely covered with dark oil," said Zhong Yu with environmental group Greenpeace China, who spent the day on a boat inspecting the spill. "The oil is half-solid and half liquid and is as sticky as asphalt," she told The Associated Press by telephone.

The oil had spread over 165 square miles (430 square kilometers) of water five days since a pipeline at the busy northeastern port exploded, hurting oil shipments from part of China's strategic oil reserves to the rest of the country. Shipments remained reduced Wednesday.

State media has said no more oil is leaking into the sea, but the total amount of oil spilled is not yet clear.

Greenpeace China released photos Wednesday of inky beaches and of straw mats about 2 square meters (21 square feet) in size scattered on the sea, meant to absorb the oil. Fishing in the waters around Dalian has been banned through the end of August, the state-run Xinhua News Agency reported. "The oil spill will pose a severe threat to marine animals, and water quality, and the sea birds," Huang Yong, deputy bureau chief for the city's Maritime Safety Administration, told Dragon TV. At least one person died during cleanup efforts. A 25-year-old firefighter, Zhang Liang, drowned Tuesday when a wave threw him from a vessel, Xinhua reported.

Officials, oil company workers and volunteers were turning out by the hundreds to clean blackened beaches. "We don't have proper oil cleanup materials, so our workers are wearing rubber gloves and using chopsticks," an official with the Jinshitan Golden Beach Administration Committee told the Beijing Youth Daily newspaper, in apparent exasperation. "This kind of inefficiency means the oil will keep coming to shore ... This stretch of oil is really difficult to clean up in the short term."

But 40 oil-skimming boats and about 800 fishing boats were also deployed to clean up the spill, and Xinhua said more than 15 kilometers (9 miles) of oil barriers had been set up to keep the slick from spreading.China Central Television earlier reported an estimate of 1,500 tons of oil has spilled. That would amount roughly to 400,000 gallons (1,500,000 liters) — as compared with 94 million to 184 million gallons in the BP oil spill off the U.S. coast. China's State Oceanic Administration released the latest size of the contaminated area in a statement Tuesday.

The cause of the explosion that started the spill was still not clear. The pipeline is owned by China National Petroleum Corp., Asia's biggest oil and gas producer by volume. Friday's images of 100-foot-high (30-meter-high) flames at China's second largest port for crude oil imports drew the immediate attention of President Hu Jintao and other top leaders. Now the challenge is cleaning up the greasy plume. "Our priority is to collect the spilled oil within five days to reduce the possibility of contaminating international waters," Dalian's vice mayor, Dai Yulin, told Xinhua on Tuesday.

But an official with the State Oceanic Administration has warned the spill will be difficult to clean up even in twice that amount of time. Some locals said the area's economy was already hurting. "Let's wait and see how well they deal with the oil until Sept. 1, if the oil can't be cleaned up by then, the seafood products will all be ruined," an unnamed fisherman told Dragon TV. "No one will buy them in the market because of the smell of the oil."

COMMENTS (7/23/10): This oil spill in the Yellow Sea may appear to be a dwarf compared to the one in the Gulf of Mexico, but the environmental impact is already sizable. Humans have already died and the marine life is now threatened. You can imagine too that the Chinese media will play the scope of this down, so it is probably worse than what is being reported. Imagine if this sort of thing kept happening worldwide every few months ... we would reach a point where the biblical warning of 1/3 of the seas and oceans turning to blood and destroying all life within them or dependent upon them could become a reality by the end of next year. PREDICTION OVERKILL.

An heiress to one of the largest business empires in the world has died of a suspected drug overdose. The body of Casey Johnson, 30, daughter of billionaire Woody Johnson, was found at her Los Angeles home. The socialite, a former classmate of Paris Hilton, was heiress to Johnson & Johnson, the pharmaceuticals and toiletries company worth $178 billion (£110 billion).

Friends posting on social networking sites voiced fears that she died of drugs. Ms Johnson was known to have a history of drug abuse, and reports in the US suggest she may have been dead for a number of days before her body was discovered yesterday. Los Angeles police spokeswomen Sara Faden said officers were called to her home at 11.51am, where paramedics had already pronounced her dead. “It appears to be a natural death,” she added. “There's no evidence of foul play. A toxicology report from the coroner's office will proceed next.”

Ms Johnson was the girlfriend of Tila Tequila, a bisexual reality TV star best known for MTV series A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila. They announced they were engaged last month. On her Twitter page, Tequila wrote: “Every-one please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support.” US website TMZ.com claimed Tequila contacted it to say the couple had been fighting last week and she had not been able to contact Ms Johnson since 29 December.

The heiress was a regular on Twitter, but had not posted since that date. On Christmas Day she had written: “I was VERY lucky this year. I found my soulmate. I got her for Christmas. Best gift ever.” Her friends from the Hollywood social scene also paid their respects on Twitter.

Lindsay Lohan wrote: “r.I.p. To a friend — Casey Johnson.” Ms Lohan's ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson responded: “Am so sick of those 3 letters [RIP], so tired of losing friends to something as senseless as a drug overdose. WAKE UP people.” Paris Hilton wrote: “I feel so sad right now, my heart is in pain. Just lost a longtime friend. My heart goes out to her family.”

Ms Johnson was the daughter of New York Jets owner Robert “Woody” Johnson, and great-great-granddaughter of Robert Wood Johnson, who co-founded the family firm. Among its products are Band Aid, the Johnson's baby range, Neutrogena, Clean & Clear facial wash and Acuvue contact lenses ...

Casey Johnson 911 Call Released: ‘She’s Ice Cold’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The 911 call has been released which alerted authorities to the death of socialite Casey Johnson. In the call, from January 4, an unidentified woman asks a 911 operator to send someone to her Los Angeles property after finding the heiress’ body.

“The emergency is I have somebody who I believe has just died in my guest house. So I need somebody right away,” the woman tells the operator. “What do you need from me?”

Although Casey is not mentioned by name during the call, the woman describes her as 30 and female and she tells the operator she believes the young woman is definitely deceased.

“You think she’s passed away?” the 911 operator asks. “I’m pretty sure. She’s ice cold and her hands are turning blue,” the caller answers. “I have two other people here with me and we all think she’s dead.”

Another operator asks the woman why she thinks the death is a suicide. “I don’t know if it was a suicide,” the woman replies. “Very often her medication gets all screwed up, so it’s probably because of that.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Johnson’s body was discovered on Monday in Los Angeles. An autopsy was performed on the body of the Johnson & Johnson heiress, the daughter of Jets owner Woody Johnson, but the Los Angeles Coroner’s office has delayed releasing the cause of death pending toxicology reports. They are expected to release the cause within 6-8 weeks, but it could take longer ...

COMMENTS (1/30/10): Casey Johnson was not British, but she was a famous heiress to the multi-billion dollar Johnson & Johnson empire ("one of the largest business empires in the world") ... and a good friend of heiress Paris Hilton (also implicated in the prediction as an alternative victim). Missing for several days, she was not found hanged, but was likely found asphyxiated ("strangled") as a result of her drugs overdose. Then again, who can say how the body was found, so much has obviously been covered up? At the very least, I must consider this a CLOSE PREDICTION. It also remains to be seen if a British heiress ends up kidnapped and murdered this year. But if not, this event more than qualifies due to its magnitude.
