NEW PREDICTION: 6/7/08 -- January 2009: Convicted serial killer
Michel Fourniret has been found dead in his prison cell. Prison
officers discovered the 66-year-old's body hanging from his
underwear at Winson Green prison near Birmingham at lunch-time
today. Attempts to resuscitate him were made but a prison doctor
pronounced him dead.
Fourniret, who was also nicknamed the "Ogre of the Ardennes," had been in custody for only seven months of his life sentence. He and his wife, Monique Olivier, who was charged with several of the killings, were arrested in 2003 by police investigating the rape, murder and kidnappings of seven girls and women between 1987 and 2003.
The couples' victims were between 12 and 21 years old. They were strangled, shot or stabbed with a screwdriver.
At the time of his
suicide, Fourniret and his wife were in the midst of another
trial for their alleged role in the rape and murder of three
other women, including the British teaching assistant, Joanna
Parrish, killed near Auxerre in 1990. The Leeds University
students naked body was found floating in a river.
She had been raped and strangled after answering an advert placed in a newspaper by a man seeking English lessons for his son.
Fourniret, who had admitted to his crimes and said he would not appeal, operated mostly in the heavily wooded Ardennes region of northern France and in Belgium.
CBC's David Common in Paris said the case bears a resemblance to the infamous Canadian case involving Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka.
Monique Olivier, 59, was told of her husband's death by her lawyer who visited her in her prison cell. Olivier will not be elgible for parole until 2036.
Police: Mass murderer John Linley Frazier hanged himself in prisonSan Jose Mercury News August 19, 2009
Frazier, who was convicted of shooting Victor M. Ohta, three members of his family and his secretary in their Soquel hills home in 1970, hanged himself in prison last week, according to the Amador County Sheriff's Office. "It's definitely not a chapter being closed because what John Linley Frazier did affected so many people," Santa Cruz County District Attorney Bob Lee said. "There's always that unanswered question, Why did he do this terrible thing.' Unfortunately that will probably rest with John Linley Frazier." Lee said his office waited to release the details about Frazier's death until they could notify the Ohtas' surviving daughter, Lark. "It was one of the hardest calls I've ever had to make as a D.A.," he said, who added the conversation was "emotional." Mule Creek State Prison spokeswoman Terry Thorton said, "the circumstances of the suicide were very compelling," though she declined to give specifics. A correctional officer found Frazier, 62, unresponsive in his cell on Aug. 13. He was pronounced dead at 1:33 p.m., prison officials reported. He died of asphyxiation, and the Amador County coroner ruled it was a suicide, said Amador County Undersheriff James Wegner. "It was a hanging," Wegner said. Frazier was in his cell alone. Thorton did not know the last time he had been checked on. His death is the second suicide in a California state prison this month. Figures on the average number of suicides in state prison each year were not available. However, 42 inmates killed themselves in California prison facilities in 2006, the most recent year the statistic was released. Frazier was serving a life sentence for five counts of first-degree murder. He was convicted of the Oct. 19, 1970 murders of Victor M. Ohta, 46; his wife Virginia, 43; his two sons, Derek, 12, and Taggart, 11; and Ohta's secretary, Dorothy Cadwallader, 38, in the Ohtas' home. Frazier, a Capitola Elementary School graduate who worked as an auto mechanic, shot his victims in the back and left a note with Manson-esque overtones. Charles Manson and three female accomplices were on trial at the time for 1969 slayings of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others in Southern California. "Today World War 3 will begin as brought to you by the people of the Free Universe," the note read. Frazier admitted to the killings, telling a psychiatrist that a "voice from God" told him to seek vengeance on "those who rape the environment." Watsonville Police Chief Terry Medina, who was a deputy sheriff in 1970 and investigated the Ohta murders, said Frazier tried to throw off police and feign insanity by referencing tarot cards. "He was smart enough. No one bought into him being a nutcase," Medina said. Frazier was sentenced to death in San Mateo County and sent to state prison on Dec. 30, 1971. He was resentenced to life in prison on Jan. 8, 1974 after the California Supreme Court found that the death penalty constituted cruel and unusual punishment under the state constitution. California did not have the life without parole sentence at the time ... |

NEW PREDICTION: 1/24/05 -- Should seismic activity continue to create earthquakes on the high end of the Richter scale as with Sumatra in 2004 and possibly soon in Turkey, India-Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, and the US west coast, "The Great Tokyo Earthquake" and subequent submerging of Japan into the sea, as predicted by the American seer Edgar Cayce, will occur also in September 2007 or January 2009. What will begin as an 8.3 magnitude temblor will escalate into a series of super-shocks, destroying Japan utterly.
In this scenario, where World War III enters Europe and Planet X passes close to earth in 2012, rather than in 2009, the seismic activity that shall totally destroy Japan will not take place until 2014.
Powerful earthquake strikes JapanJune 14,
2008 -- Updated 1845 GMT (0245 HKT) TOKYO, Japan (CNN) -- Six people were killed and at least 144 hurt Saturday morning when a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck northeastern Japan, Japanese officials said. Another eight people were missing, fire officials said. Several landslides covered roads, some highways buckled, a few bridges collapsed and bullet trains stopped, but two nuclear power plants in the region were not affected, officials said. The quake, which hit at 8:43 a.m. (7:43 p.m. ET Friday), was centered 100 kilometers (60 miles) north of Sendai, Japan, in southern Iwate Prefecture, the Japanese Meteorological Agency said. Several strong aftershocks followed, it said.
Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda sent priority orders for rescue operations, Machimura said. Local governments, fire departments and police were working to gather damage reports. The Iwate government office said it had received reports that eight children and a teacher were injured by breaking windows at a preschool and that the earthquake produced landslides in some areas. The Miyagi fire department said there had been some injuries caused by falling furniture, and some bus passengers were injured when the vehicle bounced on a bridge. Two houses collapsed, the fire department said. Major quakes hit Japan and IndonesiaSeptember 10, 2008
The Indonesian quake occurred at exactly 9 a.m. (0000 GMT), the USGS said. Its epicenter was offshore, about 75 miles (120 km) north of Ternate in the province of Moluccas in eastern Indonesia. The quake was strongly felt in Ternate. The Indonesian Meteorological and Geophysical Department issued a tsunami warning shortly afterward -- standard procedure for a quake of magnitude 6.6 or higher with an epicenter offshore. The Japanese quake occurred at 9:21 a.m. (0021 GMT). The USGS initially classified its magnitude as a 7.2, but later reduced it. The quake's epicenter was offshore, about 80 miles (125 km) south-southwest of Kushiro on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, and about 21.7 miles (35 km) below the Earth's surface. The Indonesian quake was much deeper -- about 57.9 miles (93 km). In general, earthquakes centered closer to the Earth's surface produce stronger shaking and can cause more damage than those further underground. Earthquakes between magnitude 6.0 and 6.9 are considered "strong" by the USGS. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said neither quake posed a Pacific-wide tsunami threat. However, "earthquakes of this size sometimes generate local tsunamis that can be destructive along coasts located within a hundred kilometers of the earthquake epicenter," the administration said. Volcano erupts near Tokyo raining ash down on cityFeb 1, 9:40 PM (ET)
Mount Asama, about 90 miles (145 kilometers) northwest of Tokyo, erupted at 1:51 am (0451 GMT) Monday, according to Japan's Meteorological Agency. Chunks of rock from the explosion were found about 3,300 feet (1,000 meters) away from the volcano. The agency said volcanic ash fell on nearby areas as well as parts of Tokyo. TV reports showed neighborhoods sprinkled with white flakes. An alert level of three, which urges nearby residents to take caution, was kept in place for a 2.5 mile (4 kilometer) radius. Alert level four advises residents to prepare for evacuation, while level five, the highest, orders evacuation, according to the agency. The last major eruption of Mount Asamo took place in September 2004, the agency said. With 108 active volcanos, Japan is among the most seismically busy countries in the world. The country lies in the "Ring of Fire" - a series of volcanoes and fault lines that outline the Pacific Ocean. |

OLD PREDICTION: 6/30/00
-- It is possible that this time around, unlike with
Challenger, the shuttle crew will never make it off the
launch pad. I see terrible fire consuming everything from
the ground up upon ignition -- an explosion -- and
everything collapsing in a raging inferno. The vector for
this horrific mishap is January 2009. In an alternative scenario, I am also mindful of the fact that if the space disaster involving nine crewman (as prophesied by Nostradamus) and an accident assembling the ISS does not occur in 2005 or 2008 as I have predicted, it could happen at this time instead. I also believe there will be great danger to Russian cosmonauts this year as well in separate incidents. |

NEW PREDICTION: 5/31/08 -- In January/February 2009 a car ferry sinks in the English Channel during one of the worst cyclones or storms in living memory claiming the lives of more than 200 passengers and crew.
Ferry carrying 250 capsizes in IndonesiaCNN.com January 11, 2009 A rescue operation is underway in central Indonesia after a passenger ferry capsized with about 250 people on board, the rescue chief told CNN on Sunday. So far, 18 passengers have been rescued, according to R. Arsono, the head of the local rescue agency in Makassar, South Sulawesi. The Teratai Prima ferry left Pare Pare in South Sulawesi on Saturday evening and overturned off the coast of Majena in West Sulawesi, he said. Indonesian navy, police and local search and rescue agencies are searching for the missing passengers, Arsono said. Indonesia ferry disaster leaves 246 missingJanuary 11, 2009
Severe weather, including heavy rain and strong winds, hampered rescue efforts late Sunday, according to local officials. Indonesian military personnel and police joined Red Cross officials in rescue operations on Monday. Two navy ships were also deployed to join the rescue effort, said port officials. The Teratai Prima ferry left Pare Pare on Sulawesi island in central Indonesia on Saturday evening for Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The ferry overturned about 4 a.m. Sunday off the coast of Majena in west Sulawesi after being pummeled by waves as high as 19 feet, said survivors. Indonesians rely heavily on sea transport because it is the easiest way to navigate throughout the country's 17,000 islands. |

Subject: Victoria Bushfires repeated after 70 years.
Date: Sunday, February 08, 2009 11:20 PM
Hi Mike
How are you doing?
I would like to let you know: As you no doubt have heard by now, Australia is suffering the worst bushfire tragedy in the state of Victoria, after we have gone through the hottest day on record (46.4 degrees (117 degrees I believe)!) on Saturday.
I was actually expecting something really bad this year because it has been exactly 70 years since Black Friday Bushfires in 1939 where about 70 people have perished (the last bushfire of this magnitude was Ash Wednesday in 1983 where about 40 people also perished). Not certainly to the extent where towns were wiped out and deaths reaching 128 so far and it is not even over. We are still in shock of it.
To add to the tragedy, one of Australia's most respected and loved newsreaders, Brian Naylor died along with his wife. (http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,25026070-661,00.html) He has been living in one of the devastated areas, Kingslake.
Now I learnt that the figures of death toll could double to 230! I just hope it isn't the case. However having witnessed the bushfires' aftermath I can say it is very possible...
Take Care

Police: Australian fires create 'a holocaust'February 9, 2009 0534 GMT
In an interview with Australian television, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said he fears the situation will get worse before it gets better. "I think it's important that the nation braces itself for more bad news ... this is a little horror which few of us anticipated," said Rudd. Up to 400 Australian troops will be heading to affected areas to aid in rescue and recovery efforts and resettlement services will be provided to displaced families, Rudd said. Police are calling the wildfires the worst in the nation's history. Firefighters on the scene have been working with other emergency service personnel to cut fire breaks while police erect roadblocks to evacuate residents. The number of dead has exceeded the toll of 75 in the Ash Wednesday fires of 1983, and close to 200,000 hectares (500,000 acres) of land have burned, according to Kendra Jackson, leading senior constable of Australia's Victoria state police. Thousands of weary firefighters spent Sunday fighting a losing battle to contain the flames. "It's an absolute feeling of helplessness," said Michelle Achison, who lives in a suburb of Victoria, the state most affected. "There are communities that are completely flattened. There's nothing at all. And each and every one of us knows somebody who will lose everything." The death toll seemed to rise every hour Sunday as rescue workers discovered more bodies. Some victims perished inside cars while trying to flee the flames. Others had stayed put inside houses that were burned to their shells. "I've heard of sad stories of flames going over cars and maybe one person surviving," Dr. John Coleridge of Victoria's Alfred Hospital told reporters Sunday. "I suspect today they will find lots of cars with people who haven't survived."
In a statement posted on the government's Web site, Queen Elizabeth II -- Australia's ceremonial head of state -- expressed her condolences to victims of the fires and praised rescue efforts of firefighters and other emergency personnel. "I was shocked and saddened to learn of the terrible toll being exacted by the fires this weekend. I send my heartfelt condolences to the families of all those who have died and my deep sympathy to the many that have lost their homes in this disaster," the statement said ... As darkness descended, the flames continued to lick the night sky. Aerial views showed rivers of orange trickling in all directions amid the dense vegetation. "You look up at the sky and there's this orange glow. It's eerie," said Ethan Alexander, a Melbourne photographer who visited some of the affected areas. More than 640 houses had been destroyed, said Sharon Merritt of the country's Fire Protection Association. The largest blaze was centered in the Kinglake area, about 80 km (50 miles) northeast of Melbourne, the Australia's second most populated city and the capital of Victoria. One silver lining amid the devastation: the fires have not posed a significant threat to more populous areas, including Melbourne, as they sweep across rural outskirts of southeastern Australia, Walshe said. Still, said Achison, the Victoria resident, the state is so dry from lack of rain that there are no safe areas. "Last night, there was a grassfire on flat dry grass on one of the properties. And within minutes, six homes in a row were burned to the ground," she said. "These weren't people who were preparing to evacuate because they were told they weren't in any danger." |
COMMENTS (2/12/09): Yet another reminder that the base 7 principal is ALWAYS at work. Prediction is possible using it, as I have demonstrated time and again, but no one will ever catch ALL the events that will repeat in a given year ... but repeat they will!
The following is from Wikipedia and regards the Black Friday fires that occurred 70 (7 x 10) years ago, almost to the month:
The Black Friday fires of January 13, 1939, in Victoria, Australia, are considered one of the worst natural bushfires (wildfires) in the world, and most certainly the single worst in Australian history as a measure of land affected. Almost 20,000 km² (4,942,000 acres, 2,000,000 ha) of land was burnt, 71 people died, several towns were entirely destroyed and the Royal Commission that resulted from it led to major changes in forest management. Over 1,300 homes and 69 sawmills were burnt and a total of 3,700 buildings were destroyed. It was calculated that three quarters of the State of Victoria was directly or indirectly affected by the disaster. The Royal Commission into the fires was to note, "it appeared the whole State was alight on Friday, 13 January, 1939" ...
The most damage was felt in the mountain and alpine areas in the northeast and around the southwest coast. The Acheron, Tanjil and Thomson Valleys and the Grampians, were also hit. Five townships Hill End, Narbethong, Nayook West, Noojee, Woods Point were completely destroyed and not all were rebuilt afterwards. The towns of Omeo, Pomonal, Warrandyte (though this is now a suburb of Melbourne, it was not in 1939) and Yarra Glen were also badly damaged. Around the same time, mid January, bushfires burnt through the Adelaide Hills, precipitated by the same heatwave. Ash from the fires fell as far away as New Zealand. The fires came under control two days later, when rain fell on the night of Sunday the 15th ...
The fires contributed directly to the passing of the Forests Act, which gave the Forests Commission responsibility for forest fire protection on public land. They were also a key factor in the founding of the Country Fire Authority in 1944. The environmental effects from the fires continued for many years and some of the burnt dead trees still remain today. Large amounts of animal habitat was destroyed. In affected areas, the soil took decades to recover from the damage of the fires. In some areas, water supplies were contaminated for some years afterwards due to ash and debris washing into catchment areas.
Comparison with other major Australian bushfires
Considered in terms of both loss of property and loss of life, the 1939 fires were one of the worst disasters to have occurred in Australia and certainly the worst bushfire, up to that time. More lives were lost than during the later 1967 Tasmanian fires, when 62 people died. Only the subsequent Ash Wednesday bushfires in Victoria and South Australia in 1983 and 2009 Victorian bushfires resulted in more deaths. In terms of the total area burnt, the Black Friday fires were the second largest, burning 2million hectares, while the Black Thursday fires of 1851 burnt an estimated 5million hectares.
That's right: there is an actual timeline that includes not only the current Victoria Bushfires and the Black Friday Fires, but also the Tasmanian Fires of 1967 (Black Tuesday fires) which occurred 42 (6 x 7) years ago ... and to the very month! Thus we have an event repeating 28 years later (1939 - 1967) and once again repeating 42 years later (1939 - 1967 - 2009).
The following is also from Wikipedia:
The 1967 Tasmanian fires were an Australian natural disaster which occurred on 7 February 1967, an event which became known as the Black Tuesday bushfires. They were the most deadly bushfires that Tasmania has ever experienced, leaving 62 people dead, 900 injured and over seven thousand homeless.
125 separate fire fronts burnt through some 2,640 square kilometres (652,360 acres)(264,000 ha) of land in Southern Tasmania within the space of five hours. Fires raged from near Hamilton, Tasmania and Bothwell, Tasmania to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel as well as Snug. There was extensive damage to agricultural property near the channel, the Derwent Valley and the Huon Valley. Fires also destroyed forest, public infrastructure and properties around Mount Wellington and many small towns along the Derwent estuary and east of Hobart.
The worst of the fires was the Hobart Fire, which encroached upon the city of Hobart. In total, the fires claimed 62 lives in a single day. 52 people died in the Hobart area. Property loss was also extensive with 1293 homes, and over 1700 other buildings destroyed. The fires destroyed 80 bridges, 4800 sections of power lines, 1500 motor vehicles and over 100 other structures. It was estimated that at least 62,000 livestock were destroyed. The total damage amounted to $45,000,000 in 1967 Australian dollar values.

NEW PREDICTION: 6/1/08 -- In February 2009 a series of cyclones, storms, and floods strike the Eastern part of the UK, causing the deaths of hundreds and catastrophic property damage.
Severe floods submerge towns in northern England
November
20, 2009 London, England (CNN) -- Parts of Scotland and northern England were under several feet of water Friday morning after raging rivers burst their banks and flooded towns, officials said. A police officer was missing after flooding in Cumbria, near the border with Scotland, Cumbria police said Friday. An earlier report that 11 people were missing was incorrect, a police spokesman said. The Cumbria town of Cockermouth was one of the worst hit. The Georgian market town sits at the junction of two rivers, the Cocker and the Derwent, which raged overnight and flooded the town center. The waters were so strong at times that rescuers could not send their boats against the flow to reach trapped residents, witnesses said. Two bridges in Workington, about seven miles east of Cockermouth, collapsed because of the floods, Cumbria police said. Engineers are trying to assess bridges for structural damage, though the work is difficult while the waters remain high, police said. Witnesses said the nearby town of Keswick, about 10 miles to the southeast of Cockermouth, was also badly hit. The Fire Service and Royal Air Force evacuated about 200 people by helicopter from Cockermouth's main street and town square, both cut off by the floodwaters, Cumbria police said. Police advised against all non-essential travel in Cumbria because many roads are closed and impassable. Several reception centers were set up at schools and leisure centers for residents forced from their homes, the police said. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown spoke with Cumbria's chief constable Friday morning and promised him any government help he needs, Brown's office at Downing Street said. "His thoughts are with all those who have been impacted by the floods and our thanks go to the emergency services, who continue their extraordinary efforts to help those affected," a statement from his office said. Environment Secretary Hilary Benn was in Cumbria on Friday to assess a government response, Downing Street said. There were no deaths reported from the floods, which began Thursday after heavy rain swept over the region.
Bad weather was forecast to continue across the United Kingdom over the next few days, with more heavy rain and gale-force winds bringing the continued risk of flooding, the Met Office said. The heaviest of the rain is expected to continue to fall over Cumbria and western parts of Scotland, along with north Wales, the Met Office said. Another 3 to 4 inches (75 to 100 millimeters) of rain was expected over those regions Friday, with another 6 inches (150 millimeters) over the higher areas of Cumbria, the Met Office said. "The rain will fall on areas that are already saturated, and we are working closely with agencies, local authorities and emergency services to ensure they are prepared," Met Office Chief Forecaster Bob Wilderspinou said. |
COMMENTS (11/21/09): T'was a bit off ... the rain and flooding hit the north rather than the east. Otherwise, this is a PREDICTION FULFILLED. They are calling this a "thousand-year flood" ... so it beats any past records documented, I suppose. I should remind everyone too that February has the same numerological value as November as both are 2s (Feb = 2; Nov = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2). Likewise January predictions could have happened in October instead and March predictions could also happen in December.

NEW PREDICTION: 6/1/08 -- In February 2009 a prominent member or leader of the Christian Fund-a-mentalist movement will find himself in hot boiling pitch when he is linked with an equally prominent member of the whore of Babylon club. He shall complain and weep that "this bitch provokes me so" and is even heard telling the whore to get down on her knees on a YouTube video. Although the pastor shall not be forced to do any hard time, he will, nevertheless, find himself stripped bare of his prestigious office.
Disgraced pastor Haggard admits second relationship with manJanuary 30, 2009
"He pretty much asked me if it was OK if he masturbated in front of me or masturbated in the bed next to me," Haas said. "I told him no, it would make me really uncomfortable. But he grabbed a bottle of lotion and started masturbating." Haas added, "(Haggard) used to say to me, 'You know what, Grant, you can become a man of God, and you can have a little bit of fun on the side." Haggard, 52, said the incident was "an indicator of the compulsive behavior" that ruled him at the time. However, he said he has been undergoing therapy during the two years since and "working it out." Controversy involving Haggard first erupted in November 2006, when a former prostitute, Mike Jones, said the pastor had paid him for sex over three years and had used methamphetamine in his presence. Haggard initially admitted in interviews that he received a massage from Jones but denied having sex with him. He also said he bought methamphetamine, but threw it away instead of using it. Haggard is the former president of the National Association of Evangelicals, which claims to represent millions of people in 45,000 congregations nationwide. He was also the head pastor at New Life Church. In a settlement with New Life, the church and Haggard agreed that he would retain his six-figure salary for a year, leave the Colorado Springs area, receive counseling and not speak publicly about what had happened for one year, according to a church staff member with knowledge of the settlement but who was not authorized to speak on the record. In the CNN interview, Haggard credited Jones with having helped him by disclosing that information. "I think he rescued me. I'm very grateful to him," Haggard said. He said he would have lost the support of his wife of 30 years, Gail, and their five children "and been a drug addict" had he not been caught. "I paid a heavy price. It was stupid," he said. |
COMMENTS (2/2/09): I was expecting something along the lines of a preacher and female prostitute, but a sex scandal is a sex scandal. Despite the fact that Haggard was already in hot water two years ago on a similar charge, this latest accusation amounts to a whole new scandal (or a second scandal). So it does count, especially since the timing is so close. PREDICTION FULFILLED.

COMMENTS (2/25/09): The timing is uncanny ... another four days and it would be March 2009, as indicated. There is no question it was a Turkish jet that crashed. The Netherlands is close enough to France and the UK, so I was not far off there either. Casualties are currently under dispute, but it looks like another miracle occurred in this crash like the one in the Hudson River, for which all those who have survived should be grateful. Eternal Life? Scientists Reverse Aging in Mice
November 29, 2010
The Wall Street Journal
Scientists have partially reversed age-related degeneration in mice, an achievement that suggests a new approach for tackling similar disorders in people. By tweaking a gene, the researchers reversed brain disease and restored the sense of smell and fertility in prematurely aged mice. Previous experiments with calorie restriction and other methods have shown that aspects of aging can be slowed. This appears to be the first time that some age-related problems in animals have actually been reversed.
The study was published online Sunday in the peer-reviewed journal Nature.
"These mice were equivalent to 80-year-old humans and were about to pass away," says Ronald DePinho, co-author of the paper and a scientist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. After the experiment, "they were the physiological equivalent of young adults."
Although the finding is compelling, it remains to be seen whether the approach can slow the signs and symptoms of aging in people. The latest results were obtained with mice that were specifically altered to age prematurely. And while the animals showed no signs of tumors, there is a risk that the technique could trigger cancer.
The experiment focused on telomerase, an enzyme that makes small units of DNA that seal the tips of chromosomes. These DNA units, known as telomeres, act like the plastic caps at the ends of a shoelace, preventing the chromosomes from fraying and the genes inside them from unraveling. In 2009, three U.S. scientists won the Nobel Prize in medicine for illuminating the mysteries of telomerase.
AS this occurred in the adjacent year, 2010, in November 2010, technically this is a PREDICTION PARTIALLY FULFILLED ... however bear in mind that the full version of this report does not see this being marketed as a pill for another 10 years and that it may not be marketed at all if the risk of getting cancer from it is too great.

NEW PREDICTION: 12/24/09, PRESENTATION POSTED: 12/29/10 -- As 2010 winds down to a close, it is important that as many loose ends as possible be tied up in the days ahead, which includes predictions from the list at the bottom of this page which appeared long past their assigned vectors on the Second Home page on December 24, 2009, that have not yet been posted in the customary manner (like this, in other words).
As can be seen by the date, this prediction is finally being posted very late and obviously cannot occur by the April 2009 vector and is unlikely to occur by the end of 2010. Still, it is a loose end that must be addressed. The base 7 vector for troubles beginning in Albania proper is now January 2011. Therefore this prediction for 2009 can only be counted as a failure.

It was then posted to the List of Predictions Still to be Presented on This Page soon after. It is now a PREDICTION FULFILLED.
| China plane crash
leaves 43 dead -- Fifty-three injured after Henan
Airlines plane overshoots runway and bursts into flames
in Yichun
The Guardian, Wednesday 25 August 2010 A Chinese passenger jet broke apart as it approached a fog-shrouded runway in the country's north-east and burst into flames as it hit the ground yesterday, killing 43 people and injuring 53 others, state media said. The Henan Airlines plane with 91 passengers and five crew crashed in a grassy area near the Lindu airport on the outskirts of Yichun, in Heilongjiang province, the official Xinhua news agency reported. Xinhua quoted Hua Jingwei, a Yichun publicity official, as saying that some passengers were thrown from the cabin before the broken plane hit the ground. The Brazilian-made plane had taken off from Heilongjiang's capital of Harbin shortly before 9pm local time and crashed a little more than an hour later, Xinhua said. China Central Television showed firefighters dousing the burning plane with hoses and later digging through the wreckage of the jet. Xinhua said 43 bodies were recovered within hours of the disaster and 53 people were taken to hospital, most with broken bones. Wang Xuemei, vice-mayor of Yichun, told CCTV that three survivors were in critical condition but he gave no more details. Henan Airlines is based in the central Chinese province of the same name and flies smaller regional jets, mainly on routes in north and north-east China. Previously known as Kunpeng Airlines, the carrier was relaunched as Henan Airlines earlier this year. Henan Airlines and many other regional Chinese airlines flying shorter routes have struggled amid stiff competition in the past years, losing passengers to high-speed trains. An American company, Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group Inc, was an original investor in Henan's predecessor company, Kunpeng, but divested its stake last year. Mesa operates regional services in the US for Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and other carriers and is undergoing bankruptcy reorganisation. Expansion of air traffic in the 1990s led to a series of crashes that gave China the reputation of being unsafe. This prompted the government to improve safety, from airlines to air traffic management systems at airports. The last major passenger jet crash in China was in November 2004, when an China Eastern plane plunged into a lake in northern China shortly, killing all 53 on board and two on the ground. An MD-11 cargo plane operated by Zimbabwe-based Avient Aviation crashed during takeoff from Shanghai's main airport last November. Three American crew members died while four others on board were injured. Dozens dead in China plane crash ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Wed Aug 25, 2010 7:17am AEST A Chinese passenger plane overshot a runway and burst into flames while attempting to land on Tuesday in China's northeast, killing more than 40 people on board, state media reported. The plane crashed while trying to touch down in the city of Yichun in remote Heilongjiang province, Xinhua said. Hua Jingwei, a Communist Party official in Yichun, said that 43 bodies had been recovered from the wreckage and 53 survivors taken to hospital for treatment. The death toll was later lowered to 42. The plane had 91 passengers, including five children, and five crew on board, Xinhua said, citing a source at the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The aircraft was an E-190 jet, a passenger aircraft manufactured by Brazilian aerospace conglomerate Embraer, operated by Henan Airlines, a carrier based in the northern Chinese province of the same name. The crash occurred shortly after 9:30 pm (local time) near Yichun's Lindu airport, less than an hour after the plane took off from Harbin, the provincial capital, Xinhua said. A vice mayor of Yichun told media that most of those taken to hospital did not have life-threatening injuries. A 20-strong group of CAAC technicians and officials was sent to the crash site and Chinese vice premier Zhang Dejiang is to lead a team of transport, safety and security officials to deal with the aftermath. Yichun is about 150 kilometres from China's northern border with Russia. |
COMMENTS (12/29/10) -- One of a small number of old predictions from 2009 being fulfilled in the adjacent year: 2010. The only thing wrong with it is that the plane crashed inside of China rather than in Taiwan, Korea, or Japan. Still, an event of this magnitude involving a Chinese passenger jet with this many people on board being hurt of killed is not a frequent one. The last similar accident apparently occurred in November 2004. This is a PREDICTION FULFILLED.
