THE WAR OF ALUS: US and Israel At War
With Syria, Iraq and Iran

If Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, is mentioned at all by Nostradamus, it may be here:

Quatrain 6.33 ~

His last hand through the bloody Alus,
His protection by sea will not be guaranteed:
Between two rivers, dreading the military hand,
The black and angry one will make him repent.

NEW PREDICTION: 2/20/06, 5/19/06, 6/19/06 -- Syria, currently accused by the US of sending insurgents into Iraq, could provoke a war with Israel at any time. It is just as possible that Israel will provoke a war with Syria. Over the years, Damascus has been stockpiling the deadly VX nerve agent and has armed its many missiles with chemical warheads.

A "grand" war of all wars in the Middle East would probably begin as an Arab-Israeli conflict. Some believe that a chemical or nuclear attack on Tel Aviv by Iran will spark it. However, it is more likely that it will begin as an Israeli-Syrian confrontation that fuses with an Iraqi-Syrian-Iranian-Turkish conflict where the US military is trapped fighting Iraqi insurgents, rebel Kurd groups, Syrian and Iranian infiltrators, and terrorists led by Abu Ayyub al-Masri. If Bashar al-Assad is still in power by this time and has not been overthrown in a June 2007 or February 2008 coup, he may become the Alus sanguinaire. Then again, Alus may be a new personality who will topple Bashar and become leader of Syria -- the one Islamic prophecy calls the Sufyaani (or, if a precursor, merely a sufyaani). Potential candidates are Abdul Halim Khaddam, Bashar's uncle, Rifaat al-Assad, and the new Egyptian leader of the al Qaeda in Iraq: Abu Ayyub al-Masri.

It is important to point out that some Islamic hadiths state that the Sufyaani will come from Egypt or be Egyptian born. Abu Ayyub al-Masri, now vying to take Iraq by force, is Egyptian-born. His first act has been to capture two Americans and hold them as media hostages. Also, "Alus" fits his name well, according to Erika Cheetham's first book on Nostradamus. She states that "Alus" might be a variation on "Malus" and that these letters could be combined. Thus, Abu Ayyab al-Masri (Almas = Alus) could be this figure.

This war will likely begin in October 2008, only a few weeks before the US presidential election. A second potential vector for this conflict is June 2009. It is also possible the war will begin in October 2008 and end in June 2009.

THE PIECES FALL INTO PLACE ...

It has been a long wait, but 2006 at last sees the identities of the players in Quatrain 6.33, 2.52, and 8.70. The events of all three quatrains are still over 3 years away, although one of the wars that sets the stage for their fulfillment, the US vs Iran, may begin in June/July 2006 or no later than March-May 2007.

Quatrain 6.33 ~

His last hand through the bloody Alus, his protection by sea will not be guaranteed: Between two rivers,
dreading the military hand, the black and angry one will make him repent.

When the current war against the insurgency in Iraq or a soon-to-come civil war in Iraq escalates to include the nations of Syria, Turkey, and Iran, then the time for the above quatrain will have arrived. Some may argue this has already occurred, but I am suggesting something far more direct than Syria and Iran sending mercenaries across their borders to join the Iraqi insurgents and Abu Ayyub al-Masri's, an ambitious counterfeit version of Al Qaeda. What I intend in Quatrain 6.33 is nothing less than a war that is waged in Syria, Iraq, and Iran by the United States and Turkey. And, again, this is more than the American air raids that have occasionally taken place a mile inside the Syrian border to stop the flow of new insurgents into Iraq or the Turkish and Iranian incursions in the north against rebel Kurd groups such as the PKK.

In Quatrain 6.33, Nostradamus describes a very troubling scenario: what appears to be the US military in Iraq finally defeats or destroys someone identified as "Alus" or "bloody Alus" with their "last hand" (meaning a final last-ditch effort). This could be Bashar al-Assad of Syria or a monster who overthrows him with the blessing of either the EU or Russia.

Afterwards, according to the same quatrain, the US will be unable to be adequately supported by its naval forces (and air forces based on aircraft carriers). Perhaps this will be due to naval attacks by Iranian and even Russian subs. In another quatrain, Nostradamus says a "great fleet will flounder in the Arabian Gulf." This "great fleet" may be America's. The fighting during the civil war will have already been quite bad since Iraq is described in Quatrain 8.70 as "land horrible and black of feature." Without sea or air support, US ground forces in Iraq, Iran, and the oil fields of Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf, are finally overwhelmed. Then "the black and angry one" moves in from Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and defeats and humbles the US, taking over Iraq, annexing it into a "greater Persia."

Sometime during this terrible conflict, the bloody Alus, Bashar al-Assad or an Arab monster who overthrows him in 2007 or early 2008, is defeated and killed. What then follows may well be Isaiah's "Burden of Damascus" and Jeremiah's "fire kindled in Damascus" prophecies: Israeli and US nuclear strikes on Damascus and other Syrian cities and subsequent carnage in neighbouring regions.

Jeremiah 49:22-28 ~

Behold, he shall come up and fly as an eagle [New Iraq? USA?], and spread his wings over Bozrah [Busra, SW Syria]: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom [S. Jordan, NW Saudi Arabia] be as the heart of a woman in her pangs. Concerning Damascus, Hamath [N. Syria] is confounded, and Arpad [N. Syria]: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted ... Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her ... her young men shall fall in her streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the Lord of hosts. And I [the God of Israel] will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad. Concerning Kedar [Jordan] and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor [N. Israel], which the king of Babylon [USA/Iraq] shall smite ... go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east [Iran].

US F16s The biblical prophet Jeremiah appears to have also foreseen the opening salvos of this apocalyptic encounter: one that will pit Arab against Arab as well as Arab against Israeli. If his prophecy and Nostradamus' War of Alus are related, it would appear that following weeks or months of fighting, Assad/Alus will be defeated by the "last hand" of the United States. Israel then enters or is yanked into the war and Damascus and other Syrian cities are then destroyed or partially incinerated by Israeli nuclear missiles. Parts of Palestine, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia will also have been attacked by the US and Iraq (Jordan and Palestine may also be under the control of Alus if he is the Sufyaani predicted in Islamic prophecy).

Thus, in Q6.33, we are introduced to "Alus" (Syrian President Bashar al-Assad or Egyptian-born, Iraqi terrorist Abu Ayyub al-Masri), the defeated "he" (the US military or, more specifically, US General John Abizaid (who also happens to be an Arab), and the "black and angry one" (Mahmoud Ahmadinejad).

Terrorist leader Abu Ayyub al-Masri now leads the deadly Iraqi terrorist organisation patterned after Al Qaeda. Ayman al-Zawahri of Al Qaeda, the second-in-command after Osama bin Laden, recently distanced himself from al-Masri's predecessor, the slain terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, saying his terrorist attacks on Muslims in Iraq disgusted him and worked against the "principals" of bin Laden and Al Qaeda. Al-Zarqawi, therefore, made himself a rival of bin Laden, spreading his organisation outwards beyond Iraq, launching attacks in Egypt and Jordan and planning further attacks in Europe. Although al-Zarqawi was later praised by bin Laden, his successor Abu Ayyub al-Masri may well follow his one dark designs, rivalling Bin Laden.

Because al-Masri may become more a rival to Osama bin Laden than a confederate, it is remotely possible that he could become the figure known as the Sufyaani in Islamic prophecy. Abu Ayyub al-Masri may one day become a major enemy of bin Laden. Likewise, the Sufyaani will one day be the Mahdi's deadly enemy. Whilst making bin Laden "the Mahdi" (the Islamic Messiah) is quite a stretch in my opinion, Osama is attempting to influence such a link in the minds of many Muslims. If Ahmadinejad of Iran one day declares bin Laden is the Mahdi, then I guess the die will be cast.

The Sufyaani is a powerful and thoroughly evil figure in Islamic prophecy, thus if Abu Ayyub al-Masri is perceived as the Sufyaani, he would be the most logical candidate for both "Alus" and "Mabus" -- especially since the Sufyaani's defeat and death heralds a great destruction of human life. Therefore, watch Ahmadinejad carefully and see what he says of bin Laden in the near future. At the moment he expects "the Mahdi" not to appear for another two years. If he doesn't appear by early 2008, will Ahmadinejad decide to choose Osama to fulfill his warped dream??

When will this US war in Syria, Iraq, and Iran begin? It shall likely begin to happen one month before the US presidential elections will be held in November 2008. Thus, October 2008. A second potential vector for this war to begin is June 2009. When will it end? When the leader of the United States and "governor" of Iraq is the "whore of Babylon": sometime after the inauguration of Hillary Clinton in January 2009:

Quatrain 8.70 ~

He will enter villainous, unpleasant, infamous tyrannising over Mesopotamia,
All friends made by the adulterous woman, the land horrible, black of feature.

Line 3 of this quatrain made no sense at any time Saddam Hussein was leader of Iraq nor in 2003 when George W. Bush invaded Iraq and overthrew Saddam. It has also made no sense to this day during the ongoing American occupation.

However, it shall in January 2009 when Hillary Clinton becomes President of the United States. Thus, this is one of a number of quatrains, two of which we have already discussed here that can now be seen in my Hillary Clinton prediction below, describing a female US president. This one, however, links directly to another prophecy in the Book of Revelation about the final leader of Mystery, Babylon: "the great whore" (also discussed in the prediction below).

When Hillary is made president, America will lose the war in the Middle East after one last stunning success: the destructions of Iraqi terrorist Abu Ayyub al-Masri (Mabus or/and Alus) and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad (Alus). Iraq will then be taken over by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the "villainous, unpleasant, infamous" tyrant from Iran.

How long after Hillary's inauguration will this great Middle East War play out entirely? According to the base 7 system, sometime in June 2009. At that time, Israel and Egypt will be defeated by Iran and its allies with the aid of Russia. All of the Middle East will become part of a greater Iranian empire. Turkey will not last much longer than the Arabs and Israelis.

Thus, the war will either begin in October 2008 and end in June 2009, or it will begin in June 2009 and end within a few weeks time.

In August 2009, specifically August 8, 2009, the final "Mabus" shall be murdered: the "third high-ranked" Balkan leader whose death, according to Alois Irlmaier, triggers a Russian invasion of Europe.

His death will escalate the "war" to its most horrific height: the invasion of Europe by Russia and an Iranian-led Muslim military alliance. And the death and destruction that will follow his death will be in the millions and, finally, billions as Russia and the United States face off during a dreadful total thermonuclear exchange.

The Beginning of World War III
in the Middle East?

Many Palestinians have been killed and wounded by heavy Israeli tank fire and air strikes in Gaza, some allegedly by banned white phosphorous shells. The allegations come as Israel vows to escalate its war in Gaza after more deadly air strikes and battles despite growing calls for a ceasefire.

January 4, 2009 (6:16 AM EST), UPDATED January 11, 2009 (11:57 PM EST): It is difficult to believe that this conflict will end anytime soon, although a short ceasefire is possible. Even if Israel announces that the operation is concluded, their objectives met, and cease further hostilities, the hatred and outrage being felt by Palestinians, not only in Gaza but the West Bank, as well as by Hezbollah in Lebanon and other militant groups in the region will likely boil over and Israel will suffer more attacks ... attacks they will feel obliged to retaliate against. This white phosphorous allegation, if proven true, will almost assure that Israel will experience a wave of revenge suicide bombings if not nightly barrages of rocket launches from inside Lebanon or even Syria.

Israeli troops in the occupied Golan Heights have come under small arms fire from Syria, Israeli military officials have said.

At best my guess is a ceasefire at this time will only hold until sometime in March. "Some militant group," if not Hezbollah, already has launched missiles into northern Israel ... another such attack and the conflict in Gaza no longer remains an internal matter. That is almost exactly how the worst Israeli war in Lebanon since 1982 began in June 2006. It began as a one-week, all-out war in Gaza, a war that hardly comes close to the catastrophic level of military might being used by Israel in Gaza now, before moving northward into a confrontation against Hezbollah and a massive air bombing of Beirut and nearly every other city in Lebanon. It was a war that at one point came perilously close to drawing in Syria. Many experts interviewed on major news networks like CNN at that time feared the summer 2006 war was the start of World War III.

As you can see, the above prediction for a major Arab-Israeli war breaking out in the Middle East in October 2008 and spreading throughout the region is right above my successful prediction of a major Stock Market Crash in October 2008 followed by a great depression, a banking crisis, loss of savings and pensions, cessation of all transactions, panic, rioting, and lawlessness as a total global economic collapse ensues. The great war would merge the US conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan with another involving Israel, the Palestinians, Lebanon, and Syria, finally drawing in Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia:

Need I point out that the current Israeli war in Gaza began eighteen days ago, on December 26, 2008 (EST), which is only two months off from the projected October 2008 vector. Even if this war does burn itself out, which now seems very unlikely, the region will remain dangerous and open for major conflict through June 2009 (the other vector given). The great danger if this war is not stopped is that it will become "World War III in the Middle East" which is soon accompanied by horrendous naval encounters in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and elsewhere, turmoil in the Balkans, and a joint Russian and Iranian-led Muslim invasion of Europe, total thermonuclear war between Russia and the USA, and nuclear and chem-bio attacks on various European cities and capitals ("World War III in Europe" or just simply "World War III").

A third world war involving Russia, Europe, and the United States is projected by the base 7 system as beginning on August 8, 2009 ... unless there is a ceasefire.

Augmenting my base 7 projection for a major war in the Middle East are several troubling quatrains by Nostradamus, one which I have nicknamed "The War of Alus" quatrain, and, far more ominous, the six-chapter prophecy by the Old Testament prophet Jeremiah (chapters 46 through 51 inclusive).

Nostradamus' prophesied War of Alus (and some related quatrains) can end with a ceasefire: but not the Middle East war foretold of by the prophet Jeremiah. You will know that Jeremiah's prophecy of "World War III in the Middle East" is truly in progress if the Syrian capital city of Damascus is utterly destroyed by an Israeli nuclear attack. Once Jeremiah's war has begun there is no turning back. No ceasefire, UN-brokered or otherwise, will be possible should that Rubicon ever be crossed. World War III will have begun and we will crash and burn on "the jagged path" warned of by the Hopi Indians as quickly as we have set foot upon it. Two-thirds of the planet will become a vast cemetery by the end of 2009 and the other third will witness an even worse horror during the war's so-called "aftermath" between 2010 and 2016. If we enter into the realm of the non-prophetic, which I sincerely hope we will not, the human race may be made extinct during what we will come to regard as the defence of our planet from an alien attack, but it will be something entirely different ...

I urge you now to pray that whatever conflict you see happening in the Middle East, especially any involving Israel, however small it may seem to be, ends quickly and does not internationalise. Between now and June 2009 is the most dangerous period we have ever faced for such a conflict to become what was once merely an abstraction: that which we have come to call "World War III" and that which Nostradamus called "The First Holocaust."

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military says one or more gunmen have opened fire on an army patrol along the Israel-Jordan border.

The military says there were no casualties in the incident, which took place along the desert frontier between the two countries in southern Israel.

The details remain unclear. But tensions are high in the region because of Israel's devastating offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

BREAKING NEWS: U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned an attack on a U.N. relief agency's compound in Gaza City, which he and other U.N. officials say was committed by Israeli forces. Fighting around the U.N. relief agency's headquarters in Gaza City set part of the compound ablaze with no way to rein in the fire, the agency's local director has said. The compound was hit by shrapnel and artillery fire during clashes between Israeli troops and Hamas gunmen. Meantime, NORTHERN Israel was under renewed attack from Lebanese-based militants last night with three Katyusha rockets striking the area surrounding the Sea of Galilee, again raising fears of the war in Gaza spreading across the region.

Guerrillas in Lebanon rocketed northern Israel on Wednesday for the second time in a week, drawing Israeli artillery fire and threatening to drag the Jewish state into a second front as it battled Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces returned fire immediately, with four artillery shells striking the southern Lebanon village of Al-Hibarieh. The violence defied a new call from the U.N. chief to immediately end fighting in Gaza. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday accused some Arab states of complicity in "genocide" being carried out against Palestinians in Gaza. "Unfortunately, some states in the Arab and Islamic region tolerate or support this rare genocide with silence or a smile of satisfaction," Ahmadinejad said in a letter to Saudi King Abdullah, referring to the Israeli aggression against Gaza. Four days ago many Palestinians were killed and wounded by Israeli airstrikes using banned white phosphorous shells. Despite the allegations of illegal phosphorous use, the Zionist state vowed to escalate its war in Gaza despite growing calls for a ceasefire. Meantime, the US Navy is keeping all eyes on an Iranian aid ship heading towards the coast of Gaza.

UPDATED January 15, 2009 (12:12 PM EST): Israel is now attracting the animosity of other nations, and in so doing theatening to turn this conflict not only into a regional war spreading throughout the Middle East, but far beyond. The consequences of today's events and three weeks of the Israeli military's slaughter of innocent Palestinians is risking the very real possibility of a global coalition approved of by the United Nations marching against the Zionist state ala "Operation Desert Storm" ... only this time headed by Russia. Hezbollah in Lebanon, or someone from that country, has fired Katushya rockets into the northern part of the country twice. Syrians and Jordanians have exchanged small arms fire with Israelis as well. Now Israel has bombed the United Nations compound in Gaza. If Israel was not already earning the world's wrath for the ruthless and barbaric slaughter it has already caused, it certainly is in risk of doing so now ...

NEW PREDICTION: 5/23/06 -- The war in the Middle East, continuous rising oil prices, the sudden cut-off of oil by Iran at the Strait of Hormuz and at the Caspian Sea-Turkey pipeline, oil cut off from Venezuela, Iraq, and the Saudi peninsula, along with even more dangerous developments involving war between the US, Israel, Iran, Iraq, and Syria will cause the US stock market to crash in October 2008. A global depression will result as markets plummet and collapse throughout the entire world.

Panic and speculation will result in billions of dollars being withdrawn from banking institutions. The White House will "be forced" to close the banks and thus initiate a festering banking crisis. Mobs of angry US citizens will form to try to remove their savings by force. Electronic banking will not function. All transactions will be stopped by the government online and offline out of fear. Panic and lawlessness will spread as an economic collapse in the US and Europe becomes global, leading to civil wars in some countries.

The world will enter into the worst global depression in recorded history.

September 15, 2008 (9:33 AM EDT) - Global markets are reeling after a convulsive day on Wall Street that saw leading U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers file for bankruptcy and others scramble for merger as the continued fallout from the credit crunch claims new victims.

Asian and European stock markets are down sharply amid growing alarm over the world's financial system after a seismic shake-up on Wall Street, with Lehman Brothers saying it will file bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch being sold to Bank of America.

"This crisis is clearly deeper than anybody had imagined only a short time ago," Peter Stein, an associate editor at The Wall Street Journal in Asia, told CNN.

Some investors, already anticipating panic, are beginning to say the dreaded phrase not heard for nearly eighty years:
BLACK MONDAY.

September 16, 2008 (9:19 AM EDT): Wall Street Is Crumbling. Yesterday the Dow suffered its worst day since the 9/11 terror attacks.

Today stocks in Asia and Europe continue to tumble following Wall Street's worst day since markets reopened seven years ago after the 9/11 terror attacks. Tokyo's Nikkei fell 4.95 percent while the Hong Kong Hang Seng shed 5.9 percent as the effects of Lehman Brothers' collapse reverberated around the world.

Wall Street's overnight free fall sent Asian stock markets tumbling sharply this morning, as investors were gripped with fears of a global financial crisis.

Wall Street dropped precipitously with the Dow Jones down more than 504 points to 10917, the sixth-largest point drop ever and their worst showing since the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

The question being asked now is whether the global market is in a crash, a crisis, or a gradual yet utter collapse.

September 16, 2008 (11:11 PM EDT): It appears that, for now, the tumbling market has rebounded somewhat and another major financial institution, AIG, is being saved by the Federal Reserve Board at a tune of $85 billion. Nevertherless, even though the word "crash" has not been a part of the lexicon of business world regarding September 15, the term Black Monday has been on everyone's lips. I titled the above alert "Black Monday" early in the morning of the 15th, having a good sense what the day would bring. Since I cannot claim a stock market crash occurred (not officially anyway), I can still claim Black Monday 2008 did happen. This makes my prediction a PREDICTION PARTIALLY FULFILLED. I have little doubt we shall see the rest of it fulfilled soon, barring a miracle that is.

Is Needed to Avoid Possible Mass Panic


U.S. President George W. Bush used a prime-time TV address to make the case for his plan to let the Treasury Department buy as much as $700 billion in troubled assets from financial institutions.	"We are in the midst of a serious financial crisis," Bush said. Failure to act quickly on the bailout plan could result in a "long and painful recession," Bush warned. The president also said action is needed to avoid possible mass panic.

COMMENTS (9/25/08): It is possible the term "stock market crash" may never be used. However, clearly the market will have crashed at some point even if there is an avoidance to say it has. It is beginning to appear that every other descriptive term imaginable is being used to to illustrate the existing global and US economies and where they are heading. If it becomes clear the state of the economy is in collapse, I am simply not going to wait for those magic words "stock market crash" to declare this prediction as being fulfilled. Things have not reached that point yet, but clearly this is the most dangerous period in economic history the world, let alone the United States, has faced in 80 years. Since Black Monday occurred (that is what many called it despite the fact that a crash had not actually happened) this prediction has already been well into the partial fulfillment range. Things simply can only go so much farther and we will either pull back from the brink or go over the edge into the abyss.

Dow suffers biggest point drop ever

September 29, 2008 (9:14 PM EDT) - (CNN) U.S. lawmakers have rejected the biggest proposed government intervention in the U.S. economy since the Great Depression of 1929. The Dow Jones closed more than 700 points down as the markets reacted to the $700 billion bailout plan's defeat.

(AP) Wall Street's worst fears came to pass Monday, when the government's financial rescue plan failed in Congress and stocks plunged precipitously -- hurtling the Dow Jones industrials dowwn nearly 7 percent. The almost 780-point decline was the largest one-day point drop ever for the index.

The last Black Monday on September 15, 2008 was compared to the economic tailspin that followed 911 in September 2001.

Today's Black Monday is being compared with the Black Monday Stock Market Crash of 1987.

Many investors and financial analysts, fearful of mass panic on Wall Street tomorrow, are beginning to say two dreaded phrases not heard since 1929:
